Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
"Ooooookay...bad way to cut the tension...got it..." Amon mentally noted, observing everyone's reactions, briefly shooting Edel an apologetic glance.
"We could also make breakfast here...maybe go out to get some supplies before coming back to actually cook..." he suggested.
"Quite the mess is a slight understatement," Abe called from Sienna's closet.
"Don't be rude," Abby chided. "Although, your wardrobe is in need of repair."
"What's going on?" Amon asked, carefully stepping past Sienna in an attempt to not spook her.
"It would appear that anything with red seems to be torn asunder," Abby noted, picking up a torn piece.
[Judging on the mess, it would appear her mental stability is currently worse than your's was.] Abe clicked.
Amon looked at him, deep in thought for a second, before clicking his mechanical fingers. [A different type of madness. Think you can piece together her clothes?]
[95% certainty. Though she may not want them judging from their state.] clicked Abby.
[See if you can't gather as many pieces as you can, just in case.]
[Understood.]
"Sienna...?" Amon called out. "...Is everything okay...?"

That averted and lowered gaze of Sienna's plus the faint replying voice gave Edelweiss the impression her friend was trying to shrink into herself and disappear - which all things considered she'd not be surprised if it's somehow accurate. She could hear the twins chatting about a mess in Sienna's closet, enough that Amon went ahead to take a look and see what they could do, and the redhead could only take a deep breath. "If you don't want to call attention, I can try to even out that a bit more." She offered, seeing as their friend was currently shielding the space in her neck the shorter hair could no longer cover. It was a hack job, that's for sure, but not too bad. Just brushing it some more and having the layers look more evened out should give it a more solid semblance of an actual haircut - that probably would also call less attention to her than now.
There was also the thought Sienna was a tinker and merchant still, even if no longer a guildleader. It's not that the redhead was being cruel, but even if she and Amon are available to take care of her, she would still need money to take care of her own life needs and that meant she'd have to once again deal with customers and such at some point, be at least barely presentable for business and grow used to the passerbies on the streets. It was also for the same reason Edelweiss couldn't answer for her what they'd do for breakfast; if they go out for actual food or just for supplies to make food was for Sienna to decide, but they'd have to head out for either option anyway. And it'd do good to start getting her re-accustomed to take initiative in deciding things, starting with the small ones even if that makes her uncomfortable.
Well, at least that was a kind of behavior the redhead had some idea on how to deal with (not from personal experience in living it, thankfully, but dealing with it wasn't unheard of in her guild, mainly from Hovel-born workers, so she at least had some hints and a vague guide on how to act around her now). She could only hope it'd all work out, as slow as it'd likely be...

Sienna tried to ignore the dolls blunt chatter about her home and her state of mind, choosing to drown it out and looked to Edel who offered her some ideas for her hair.
“That would be g-good.” She'd agree a small smile flickering on her face. It was so brief though it might not have even been noticed.
As for their other question she fumbled a bit for response, her hands gripping her shirt tightly. “I w-want a go o-out.” It was far better to be free and exposed than cooped up inside and safe, but continuing to relive her two year nightmare.
When Amon inquired about her she nodded. “I'm f-fine.” As discussed earlier as she could get anyhow .
"Well...if you're up for it, we'll go...just don't push yourself too much, okay?" Amon sighed, still a little worried. "Also, it you don't mind, could we borrow a box to take the torn remains of your wardrobe? We can get rid of them for you..."
"I will hold off on sweeping the hair in the bathroom until you are done with her hair Ms. Edelwiess," Abby said as she finished off the remains of the earlier mess on the floor while Abe started to put the torn clothes into separate piles.

"Thanks, Abby." Edelweiss gave the small doll a nod before directing Sienna back into the bathroom, and checking wherever they could take a seat (in the absence of a stool, even the toiled with the lid closed would do), then placing a towel around her friend's shoulders to catch any loose stray hairs. From there on it was just a matter of fetching a comb and a pair of scissors - and the second item would only be put to use to trim better what the comb ultimately cannot even out alone.
"...Do those still hurt?" She asked in a soft tone, referring to the scars that she could glimpse hinting themselves beyond Sienna's clothes as she started combing her hair. Technically scars were scars only because the body had already finished healing wounds as it could, and Edelweiss couldn't make something that old fade in the previous evening like she could to fresh cuts or bruises. Sienna's long hair had been shrouding and and brushing most of those before the girl had cut it herself, and the redhead couldn't help but wonder if that was the cause.

Sienna followed Edel to the bathroom with little fuss. She was still reeling from all that had happened , numb to some of it and feeling raw to other parts. She was grateful though and guilty for causing so much ruckus. She parked herself on the closed toilet so her friend could tend to her mess of a haircut. As she set to work taming a question was raised and the dark skinned woman lifted a hand to rest over a scar that was still concealed beneath her sleeve. "No." She'd state softly and sigh. "But I r-remember how I got e-each one." A terrible memory was connected to each scar, the pain from misbehaving often followed by the pleasure of his apologies.
Amon mostly kept himself busy helping the twins, grabbing a box and beginning to place each pile of clothes in a general order with the help of Abe while Abby began to dust other parts of the house.
There really wasn't much needed from him at the moment...

"...." Edelweiss sighed. "Mental pain is still pain, you know..." She half stated and half thought aloud, giving a gentle tap on Sienna's hand with her own free hand before setting the brush aside for a moment so that the scissors could do their job.
"Would it help if they were no longer visible?" This wasn't an easy question, and the redhead woman hesitated a couple seconds before asking it. Whatever injuries on Sienna's body that were within her ability to make vanish as is she had already throughougly made vanish in the previous night. What remained was too old, too ingrained into her own body's damage memory to simply fade - which meant removing them would need a 'refreshing'. She didn't fancy the idea of bringing Sienna harm, after everything she'd already been through. But in the end it wasn't up for Edelweiss to decide what was more harmful to her - if a new wound or an old memory - it was something Sienna herself should choose on her own. The most she could do was make the offer.
"Oh..." Sienna spoke softly in response. That made sense she supposed. It was all still so fresh in her mind, what had happened last night and recently, that it was easy to forget some things. Her mental anguish… it was so intense at times she was afraid of letting her mind wander too far.
Her hands fisted lightly in her pants she nodded at Edel's hesitant question. “J-just the brand…” she'd stammer nervously. The others would be nice to have taken away, but right now it would only serve to confuse her if she did that. It was best to suck it up and take the discomfort now than allow herself to believe it was all a bad dream and none of it was real as Abe was afraid might happen if she became too relaxed. If she dropped her guard... someone else might try to obtain her for their own enjoyment. And she didn't think she had it in her to fight that again. She'd fold, all too easily to force if she came up against it.
Amon had just finished organizing what was left of the clothes when he went to do a quick check on how the girls were doing, stepping in just as he heard Edel suggest making Sienna's scar no longer visible. Yeah...kind of a tough choice on that one; in all honesty, he didn't blame Sienna if she wanted to keep them, save for the-
Amon blinked. Brand?
Oh crap.
"...Not to sound insensitive..." he said carefully, thinking fast. "But can we see that brand?"

Edelweiss finished fixing Sienna's haircut and set the scissors down at about the same time Amon entered to check on them. Just trimmed the part on the back to even it out and left the front locks longer. Well, that was it for the hair at least, but now the matter in question was a slightly different one...
She just let Sienna respond to the request on her own, though the redhead hoped she would by now have realized that less than really insensitive, it was going to be unavoidable. Because this wasn't just going to be like a fresh cut or bruise that just required a bit of Health magic pumped into to heal naturally - anything that remained by now was old, far too old for Health to do anything, so for whatever Sienna wanted gone they'd have to remove it manually. And to remove it manually they'd have to see it first.

Sienna nodded once and after a moment of fussing with her top she pulled her shirt collar down some, easily exposing the startling brand on her shoulder. While it was burned flesh the would itself had been properly cared for. It was Clarence's family crest, nothing too extravagant but distinct enough to be easily understood. This was what made her his to everyone outside of them. His property.
He had honestly not wanted to do it. But her refusal to stop trying to escape left him no choice. She faintly recalled him crying at her bedside afterwards. Most of that evening had been hazy. The pain stripping her of most thoughts. But his tears, she remembered those. One of many times she'd nearly given up and agreed to stay of her own free will.
"How bad... will this h-hurt?" She asked, her voice stiff and hollow. Her knowledge of magic and abilities was severely lacking.
Amon's eye twitched a little as he stated at the one thing keeping Sienna from freedom; she was no longer in captivity, but as long as she had that mark, Clarence's family could find ways to legally take her back.
Man he wished he could punch him.
Too late for that though.
"...That depends..." he said with a sigh as he did some quick measurements of the mark with is right hand. "But if possible, it won't hurt that much..." he continued, glancing at Edel. He had read her manuscript on magic until he nearly memorized it. However, there were some things that he had trouble understanding, and it ultimately was up to Edel on whether she could make the operation painless in addition to healing Sienna.
"Gonna borrow some metal and your blowtorch," he said as he left the bathroom, hoping Edel could explain in better detail on the inner workings of this particular magical operation. He strolled over to Sienna's workshop, giving Mingo a brief nod as he passed him and began to search for some scrap metal of the appropriate size.

"I can numb your sensitivity to pain, so it shouldn't really hurt." The redhead reassured quickly as Sienna asked how painful it would be, and it was true enough. However just nullifying pain didn't mean it wouldn't be unpleasant at all, so in all honesty that point should be addressed too: "...Can't guarantee it won't be uncomfortable still, though."
Amon had a point though, and Edelweiss would have agreed with him if he had mentioned it out loud. That brand gave legal warranty to Clarence's family to get Sienna back if they so deemed fit, and so it needed to be gone. She moved to sit on the edge of the bathtub so she'd not be standing behind Sienna nor towering over her while explaining, then took a deep breath. "By default, scars form when the body finished (poorly) healing something on its own. So that's too old for me to just make fade normally like a fresh cut or bruise. To get rid of that we need to refreshen the damage first, in any manner we (or you) decide; and then I can heal the results and erase the brand for you. Again, I can make sure you won't feel pain, but won't guarantee it'll be pleasant."
She then turned to Amon once he mentioned getting metals and a blowtorch. Blowtorch for what-- oh. Right, they could burn it blank. That was actually a better idea than what she had first thought of, even if still not completely bloodless. Just one question, and she asked the mechanic as he turned to leave.... "...Can't use your own fingers?" The metal fingers, that is. It'd be easier to be precise with it using his own hand, wouldn't it? Then again, she wasn't fully sure how his prosthetic was constructed. Maybe there was something that'd suffer damage from heat in it...
Sienna was unsure of what they were trying to say and warn her about. But really, if there could be no pain then what was the drawback. She'd been measuring her days and the passage of time by pain. With Clarence there had been little else past pain and pleasure. But mostly just the pain. Waiting to see how long her wounds would last, knowing that once she healed up he usually came back. Some things hurt more and longer, others less and lingered little.
Like the soft tick tock of the clock in the hall, her pain came and went, rising and falling, coming and going. Pain was either there or there was nothing else. So to find that this procedure could be done with no pain? It was a gift.
"As long as it doesn't hurt .. little e-else matters." At this point she could deal with anything so there was no need to tip toe around much with her.
