Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Elaine laughed at his response gleefully. She had no idea that would have made him squirm so badly. It was merely a joke, but then again she may have spoken way out of social standard. She shook her head at his question. "Just thinking about you." She said. Which was very much true. His flustered reaction had been very amusing and the she had gotten sidetracked by the fantastic color of his eyes. The girl figured she should give him some space to cool off that red tint to his cheeks. So she looked away and twirled the flower between her fingers, making it spin like a top. Elaine probably shouldn't tease him like she did. It didn't seem fair. She also might be having too much fun with it.

Keefe eyes softened as he turned to look at her. The red in his cheeks went down as he smiled at Elaine's response, "Really?" He said in a light voice, not so much as a question but as a kind statement. Raising his hand up some he moved in closer to Elaine and rested his arm around her shoulder, drawing her in close to him. "I have to say your always on my mind." He smiled some as he closed his eyes and tilted his head up to the sky, "That is when I'm not in art mood." He smiled slightly larger, somewhat pleased with the small joke he made.

Elaine felt the arm around her shoulder and she leaned against him without second thought. She loved hearing him say that, it meant much to her. Then...there came the joke! She giggled and looked at him slightly. He was looking up at the sky, it was indeed blue, as he had mentioned earlier. The feline gave a few small kisses to his jaw, a praise to his joke, before turning back to her flower. The purple orchid looked vibrant against her duller brown gloves. Maybe she could take it home and stash it in a book.

Keefe smiled as Elaine kissed he side of his face, her lips always felt so warm and soft. Holding her close he continued to look up towards the sky, eyes staying shut the entire time, he could feel the sun better that way. As he sat there with her Keefe couldn't help but smile all the while, he loved being around her and even when they were silent like this it was never awkward or dull, it was comforting and nice. Sometimes silence could be bad, but right now Keefe enjoyed every second of it, he never wanted it to end.

Elaine leaned her head on his shoulder and closed her eyes as well. The warm sunlight making her a bit drowsy. She let her hands fall slowly into her lap. Elaine's breathing evened out after a few moments of just being still and listening. The grass swayed around them calmly. The girl doubted the day could have gone any better. She had the arm the boy she liked around her and he liked her back. Their companionship was the best feeling she had ever had. Opened her eyes to look out into the field. Watching grasshoppers appear out of nowhere to jump a few feet and disappear again. This place was amazing. And it was even better with someone to share it with.

(I'm going to jump ahead a few hours. Hope ya don't mind ;D )
At some point Keefe ended up laying down on his back and in doing so he brought Elaine down with him. He also ended up dosing off at some point. The sun was just so warm and nice... As the boy opened his eyes some he realized what had happened, "Ugghhhh...." Keefe mumbled as he looked over to Elaine.

Elaine was still asleep curled up to the boy. She stirred lightly as Keefe started moving a bit but refused to open her eyes. She didn't want to wake up. Some strands of her hair fell down into her face as she shifted and grew still again letting out a light sigh. Finally coming to her senses she laid there waiting to see what Keefe would do. She felt no remorse for the lazy feeling hanging over her. 'He makes a nice pillow...' She thought absently.

She seemed to be sleeping... Keefe hoped he didn't walk the girl as she began to stir some, but just as soon as that happened she stopped and was still again. "Ok..." Keefe thought as he let out a small sigh and laid his head back down. As he looked up to the sky he noticed the sun was falling, they must have been out for a few hours... They should be getting back. Looking back over to Elaine he thought of what he wanted to do, he didn't want to wake them and of course if her could he would stay here with her for as long as he could, but she did have her family she needed to get back to... "Elaine?" Keefe said softly, hoping she was up some so he didn't have to actually wake her.

Elaine opened her eyes at he said her name. Reaching up a hand she put her finger on his lips. Silently shushing him. "Five more minutes." She murmured taking her hand back. Elaine draped her arm across him as she closed her eyes again. She'd have to go home and catalog books later. The warmth in her bones from laying in the sun made her reluctant to do so. After a few minutes she looked up at him and pouted comically before pushing herself up. She stretched her arms up into the air and sat there rubbing the sleep from her eyes. The sun was beginning to set which means that was probably the longest nap she had ever taken. "Talk about a cat nap..." She joked to herself.

Keefe smiled as the girl shushed him, he didn't want to leave any more than she did, but in the end they would need to. Though.... a few more minutes wouldn't hurt. Smiling he closed his eyes some for those last few moments. Only when Elaine started to stir again did Keefe look over to the girl, only to be greeted with a pouting girl. "Oh come on..." Keefe said as he gave her the same face, "Don't look at me like that. It breaks my heart." Keefe said as he sat up and clutched his chest some in a dramatic way, acting as though his heart was breaking. Lowering his arm he pushed off from the ground and stood up. Everything was stiff... Stretching some he extended his arm out to the girl, and in doing so gave a slight bow. "Need a hand?" Keefe asked as he looked up with a light smile.

Breaking his heart already, shame on her. She should know better. Elaine grinned as she took his hand and stood. "If I break it I'm entitled to fix it." She said before giving him a kiss. She backed away with a smirk. "All better?" With a small twirl she began to make her way back going slowly so he could catch up. Reaching up Elaine picked a few pieces of grass from her hair and tossed them away. 'So, how many books this week?' She thought quickly crunching some numbers in her head.

"Eh, maybe a little." Keefe said as he pinched his fingers together some, as if to indicate just how much that helped. As he walked he caught up to Elaine in no time thanks to his long legs. Once next to her Keefe looked over some and watched her pick the grass out of her hair, there didn't seem to be much of it in her hair, but it did seem to just keep coming. It was interesting to see how she did it. Keefe turned and looked back up in front of him and smiled. "This was really fun." Keefe said with a large smile, "We need to do this again."

"Only a little?!" The girl cried laughing as she ran a hand through her hair checking for any hidden slivers of grass. Satisfied none were left she looked up at Keefe. "Absolutely!" She agreed. They should come back sometime. The girl held her hands out to let them brush across the top of the grad until it got shorter. Elaine looked around at the field as the blanket came into view enjoying the sight of the trees. "Do you want to keep anything?" She asked gesturing to the basket.

Keefe smiled as Elaine asked if he wanted something. "No I don't need anything. Thank you though." He said with a smile as he walked up to the basket, bent down, and began to put away some of the things they left out. He had such a good time with Elaine today, her just wished it could have lasted longer. "Funny... We came out here fr a picnic yet didn't even stay here long enough to eat anything." Keefe joked, finding it funny that they came all this way to have lunch but ended up just leaving the basket behind.

Elaine smiled. Looks like she gets to keep the fruit. The girl picked up the pitcher and set it down in the other side of the basket helping him put things up. She made sure the lid was on good before she answered. "Well, the best days are the ones that don't quite follow the plan." She smiled cheerfully. With everything put away she handed him the basket with a mischievous smile. "Be a dear and sit that over there please. I need to fold the blanket." As he turned she scooped up the fabric and playfully draped it over her shoulders like a cape giggling. "What do you think? Too flashy?"
