Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Keefe smiled as he heard Elaine say that. He couldn't believe that in the short time he had gotten here not only did he find his sister but he also had someone special to him, someone he could call his girlfriend... He couldn't be happier. "I'm sure he means well." Keefe smiled as he looked over to Elaine, than back over to all the flowers and what not that were scattered in the field.

"Oh, you think so? Maybe I should send him over to you for awhile." She said slyly. The girl walked up behind him and slid her arms around his waist. She stood there for a moment prolonging the embrace just long enough to shake off the blush and at least not have a bright red streak across her cheeks. Finally chill she let go and turned to start the walk back to the blanket at a slower pace when she realized they had made it almost at the middle of the field. Grass stretched out around them giving the illusion of it being endless.

Keefe felt the girls hands as they wrapped around his waist. Standing there Keefe looked up to the sky with a smile, happy about this whole think, not wanting it to end. As she let go he turned around to look at Elaine to see not only her but a field that went on as far as the eye could see. "Wow..." Keefe said as he turned around in a circle, a thought then came to his head as he looked down at the grass around him. It seemed to come up to his waist. As he turned back around he saw Elaine had her back to him, this could end up working. Slowly and quietly Keefe slunk down into the grass, and disappeared from sight. Crawling around on the ground some Keefe stayed under the grass until he ended up next to Elaine, still out of sight from the girl. Reaching a hand out he waved it next to the girl before he offered it to her, "Join me!" Keefe said with a smile even though the girl couldn't see him.

Elaine turned to say something to Keefe but he wasn't there anymore. "Hmmm..." The feline looked around with a grin. Where oh where did he go? Her search stopped when she saw a hand waving at her. Laughing she made her way over looking down into the grass. She took the hand waving around and knelt down beside him. Stretching her legs out she realized the grass was taller than her sitting down. Ahh, the never ending story for the short. Elaine turned her green gaze on the boy, eyes glinting playfully. Her boyfriend....oh Zona would get a kick out of that. Chuckling to herself she turned back to a bundle of wildflowers in front of her.

Keefe smiled as the girl knelt down next to him. He chuckled slightly as she looked around, it was interesting to see the grass and flowers all around her. Turning some he rolled over and ended up laying on the ground looking up at the sky though the flowers still holding her hand the entire time. "I can't believe how blue the sky is." Keefe said as he looked up. He loved they way this looked... He wanted to paint this.

Elaine felt him pull her hand a bit when he rolled over, she swayed but stayed put. "You might want to believe it." She added in mock seriousness. Feeling a smile grace her lips she reached forwards with her free hand to pluck one of the purple orchid flowers. She looked at it closely taking in all the detail she could. "Can I steal that hat again?" She asked teasingly. Giving him a quirky little expression. She was joking, he loved his hats dearly. 'It would be such a shame to split them apart.' She thought trying not to laugh. Now, what was she going to tell his sister? Elaine began to run over scenarios in her head gleefully enjoying the various reactions Zona could have. Her daydreams were invaded upon by several loud calls from some birds.

Keefe smiled as the girl talked about taking his hat again. Propping himself up he looked over to her as he readjust his hat, "Well if ya wanted another kiss all you have to do is ask." Keefe smirked some as he looked over to Elaine with a rather playful look in his eyes. He smiled as he looked from her to the flower in her hand.

Elaine's heart fluttered a bit. 'Quit that.' She ordered it. He had to stop looking at her like that, it was too cute. Just ask for a kiss? "I thought I just did?" She said leaning in like she was going to but the brunette stopped short. She raised an eyebrow at the boy with a sly smirk of her own before kissing the tip of his nose tauntingly. She then went back to observing her flower. "What do you think those birds were going on about?" She asked innocently counting the petals and then the spots on them.

"Well I suppose you did." Keefe said with a smile the as he leaned in some just as the girl did. Elaine was just out of reach when she stopped so he would just have to... or not, a kiss on the nose would work, for now. Leaning back he listened to the question Elaine had, "The birds?" He thought as he looked up to the sky only to see them fly across the sky. "My mother once told me that they sing love songs to one another. That's why they always sound so sweet and beautiful, especially in the morning." Keefe said as he thought about waking up to hear the birds, though it was rare to hear it in the city if you listen carefully you could just hear them from his back window.

The smirk was gone, so she was safe from a heart attack at the moment. 'Love songs?' Elaine twisted around to look behind her as birds flittered by. "I'd never heard it put that way. I never get to hear them in the morning." She added slightly sad. She was up early but she was always trying to do things. She never took the time to sit and listen for birds in the city. The only sounds she was used too where her boots thudding on the rooftops, the humming music of the Theater, and the chorus of voices bartering in the Merchants District. The girl dropped her free hand with the flower into her lap. She should at least enjoy the birdsong now while she had the chance. Her green eyes gazed down at the flower half-closed in the sunlight. Her smile gone at the moment as she listened.

Keefe lost his smile as he looked over to see Elaine without one and to hear that she never got to hear them. Just as he was about to say something he noticed she seemed to be in another world, listening to the birds sing. So he decided to wait, and listen to the birds as well. The way they flew around one another and danced in the sky with the songs of their fellow birds all around them Keefe knew that what his mother told him was true, hey do sing songs of love. Once they seemed to die down Keefe turned back over to Elaine and looked at her, "Ya know, my old house wasn't in the middle of a town like this so you could hear the birds crystal clear every morning." He said with a smile as he looked back up to the sky, "If you want, next time I go, you can come with if you would like." His smile grew wider as he thought of her coming with him.

Elaine's eyes flicked open again as Keefe began to talk. His house? Wait no, not the one in Lodan, his parents home. She half smiled, "You want me to go home with you? To your parents house?" She asked vaguely surprised. Then she realized that might have sounded like she didn't want to go. "I'd love to!" She added quickly a bit flustered trying to right her first response and get the right meaning. The girl took a shallow breath as she pulled up her knees a little and leaned forward to put her hands together over them. Elaine glanced to Keefe with a look that said I-have-no-idea-what-that-was. She chuckled quietly.

Keefe chuckled some at the girls response. "Ha, that's great!" Keefe said with a smile as he looked away for a moment, viewing the flowers in front of him. "And yes it would be my parents house, I just say it's mine since I lived there for so long. But I guess I can't say that now hu." Keefe said with another smile as he thought of his little place. Thought it was smaller than the one he used to live in he liked it, it was his own little art place.

"I guess not." Elaine said running her fingers through her bangs to move them. The girl stole a glance at the boy, mischief glowing in her eyes. She scooted closer to him and leaned in with a devilish grin. "Never thought you'd want to take me home so soon!" She joked smirking. She wondered if they would be anything at all like her mother and father. Bringing herself back to the present she looked into his eyes. They were even greener than hers. Hers were a deep emerald color, his were bright green. It mesmerized her momentarily and she forgot she was only inches from him. After a few seconds she leaned back a little tilting her head slightly thinking.

"What?!" Keefe said as his face went red, it seemed that was something the girl made him do a lot. "I didn't... I mean- It wasn't like... I just.... Ahhhh....." Keefe stumbled over his words as he looked away from the girl for a moment trying to regain his thought. As he turned back he was greeted with the green eyes of a girl's staring back at him, she was inches away from him. She seemed mesmerized by something... Once she backed away Keefe did too, but just slightly, "What- What are you thinking about?" Keefe asked wondering what had her in such a daze before.
