Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
A picnic basket swung on Elaine's arm as she closed the door to a certain curio shop. She had gone in for a few seconds to find a nice checkered blanket. Archie didn't mind although he was suspicious of her current outfit and why her hair was tied up so neatly. She had only said that she wore things like this all the time and just because her hair was up made no difference. She wore flats stead of her boots due to the warmer weather. And she had on a yellow summer dress with shorter sleeves. Feeling it appropriate for the season and not at all because she felt like dressing up a bit..... Placing the folded blanket on the top of the basket she began walking. She had been thinking about something Lasair had mentioned on their last expedition together when he had shown her this amazing place just beyond city limits. He had came up with the notion of a date between the young girl and a certain artist. As much as it had flustered her to begin with she had decided to try and go through with it. It was indeed a good idea.
Making her way down the street Elaine headed for the Merchants District figuring that's where "he" would be first. If she found him any closer it would be magnificent. And less time consuming. So she hummed to herself while she walked. Green eyes looking about eagerly.

Keefe had an amazing idea!! He wanted to bring more people into his shop from off the streets so he had the idea of setting up an easel and canvas outside his shop at the corner. Hopefully that would draw some attention to the place. With his large, wooden, hand made palette in hand, Keefe sat down out side and began to paint the street that lay before him. He sat there in his paint clothing that had stains, and paint spots, clay, and who knows what else all over it, in fact if he were to get up and walk around people may think he was a dirty like homeless man who came across one to many buckets of paint. But hey, Keefe would rather get paint of that than any of his nicer shirts and paints, even though nearly all of his pants have some kind of paint on them... He didn't mean for any of that to happen it just kind of did.

Elaine turned the corner and waved at some people passing by. The day was warm and the people friendly. She hoped it would stay that way. The girl noticed a small crowd headed her way. They had just moved away from a large easel on the corner. An artistic setup with the very edge of a palette sticking out. Elaine gave herself three guesses as to who it belonged to. Grinning she walked up to the setup and stood slightly to the side in sight range of the artist painting. His blonde bangs sticking out from under his ever present hat. She out one hand on her hip as she held the basket. "Having fun?" She asked gazing over his paint stained clothes with a smile.

Keefe zoned out as he painted and never even notice the groups of people that came to watch, no one asked about anything in the store so he didn't need to worry about that. He was snapped out of his zoning out when he heard a familiar voice. Turning around some he looked up to see Elaine, "Well hello!" Keefe said as he stood up next to the girl. "And yes I was having fun. Almost halfway done with it. Not bad considering I just started this morning." Keefe said with a smile as he looked at his work. "So, what are you doing around here?" Keefe asked as he grabbed a clean rag from behind his easel to wipe his hands off some.

Elaine stepped forward to look over Keefe's shoulder at the painting. "It looks good." She leaned back and switched the basket to her other arm. He had skills. "I was actually looking for you. To see if you doing anything, I was going out and wanted to see if would want to come." She held up the basket as proof. "But if your busy I can always stop some other time." She shifted her weight to one foot and tapped the ground with her toes. Elaine sorely wished he wasn't too caught up in his painting. She'd help him bring everything in if he wanted.

"Oh..." Keefe said in surprise as he looked at the basket in the girls hand. "No, No!!! I'm not busy!!" Keefe said as he shoved the rag into his back pocket, smearing more paint on his clothing. "Just let me quick clean this up and change! Then we can go if you would like." Keefe said with a light smile, happy she came alone and asked her to so this. He had been wanting to get out, and besides, it wasn't like he was going to lose any business leaving, today was a slow day.

Elaine lit up when he said he wasn't busy. Yes! "I'll help." The girl walked to the shop and stuck the basket in the door out of the way before returning to Keefe. "What do you want me to bring in?" She asked looking at the set up. She gave the blonde boy a smile and held out her hands waiting for him to hand her something.

"Oh... Uhhh..." Keefe began as Elaine ran off and came back, this time without a basket. Keefe had always worked alone as was used to cleaning up by himself, though help may be nice. "Umm..." Keefe said as he looked at the set up. Grabbing the painting he handed it to the girl. "Here! You can hold this! Just be sure not to hit it on anything." Keefe said with a smile, trusting her enough not to drop it but still terrified that something may happen to his baby. Grabbing everything else he began his way inside the shop, holding the door open for the girl with his foot.

Elaine took the painting carefully and waited patiently for him to collect everything else. Following him she noticed he was holding the door with his foot. She recalled a friend of hers pulling a similar trick. Shaking head she walked past him minding the door frame on her way in. The girl stood in the front room holding the canvas and looking around. It was always different when she came in her to some degree. She smiled at the thought. "You been out there all morning?" Elaine asked examining the art in her hands.

"Oh, yes I was. Went out after I had breakfast this morning, but that was a few hours ago." Keefe said with a smile as he walked behind the counter and set up the easel in the back corner. He then took his palette and stuck it on a small shelf that was behind the counter, turning towards Elaine he walked over to her and took the painting, "Thanks for helping me with this." Keefe said with smile as he walked into the back to put the painting down, "If you just give me a minute I'll go up and change and then we can head out. But if you want to go now I suppose I could stay in this." Keefe said as he appeared from the back room, with yet another smile on his face.

"Sounds like fun! And I guess that last part answers the question of whether or not your hungry." She laughed. Well at least the food in the basket wasn't prepared in vain. "It was no problem. And you can go change, its not an emergency situation." She joked. To prove her point Elaine propped herself up against the counter nonchalantly. She would make sure she had the route down like she had done so many times earlier. She thoroughly knew the trail already but for her self confidence she would go over it again.

"Great! I'll be down in a moment." Keefe said with a smile as he headed into the back to go upstairs, "I'll be down quicker than you can pick up a paint brush." Keefe called out as he raced upstairs. Once in the bedroom he looked in the closet for what to wear, looking around he found the best outfit. After he put on his hat he headed back down, "What do you think?" Keefe asked with a smile. He was in a light yellow, button down with his sleeves rolled up and a small black vest on. He had light blue jeans on, with small bits of paint on the bottom of them here and there. The hat he had on matched the same color as his shirt, the same lighter yellow.

Elaine was tempted to pick up a paintbrush just to see if his theory would hold out. As he left she began to wonder how the day was going to turn out. Lost in her own thoughts she was a bit surprised when he reappeared. She grinned, "You look nice. Ready to go?" The girl walked across the shop and picked up the basket before looking over her shoulder.

"Thanks. Let's go!" Keefe said with a smile as he walked over to where Elaine was. Grabbing the door, he held it open for the girl and gestured for her to go out "Ladies first." Keefe said with a slight bow, as he then followed her out the door. Once out, he turned around to lock the door before turning back around to her, "So where are we off to on this fine day?" Keefe asked with a smile as he held out his arm some, hoping she would wrap hers around his.

Elaine smiled as he held the door open. Was this inbred in a special race of gents? Snorting in disbelief at her own ideas she stood for a moment taking in the average bustling Merchants District street. At Keefe's question she looked over to him with a playful smirk. "A very neat place if I do so say myself. Come on!" She looped her arm through his and pulled him along a bit laughing before settling back into a slower pace. "A friend showed it to me and I thought you would like it. I owe you one for that surprise at my favorite restaurant right? This is my surprise!" The girl grinned cheerily.
