Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Elaine rolled her eyes good naturedly at him. She watched him look through it out of the corner of her eye. Finally finished she closed the honey jar and laid back putting her hands on her stomach as she looked up. She smiled at the attention he gave every page. He really did love art and it didn't matter where it came from. Closing her eyes she laid there quietly while he looked enjoying the sun. "Thank you, I'm glad you like them." She said opening her eyes and turning her head a bit to glance at him. 'Yellow suits him.' She said to herself thinking about his shirt. Then again most colors would but yellow looked the best to her. Turning away she saw a few birds chasing each other.

Keefe smiled as he closed the book and looked over at Elaine. She looked so peaceful sitting there, and with the sun on her face it made her glow. Setting the book back down where he had picked it up, Keefe leaned back and laid down next to the girl. The sun felt good. "This is a truly beautiful place. I'm glad you brought me here." Keefe said with a smile as he looked up to the sky, admiring the all the colors that he saw. Looking over slightly, he watched Elaine looking up at the sky, "She looks so beautiful..." Keefe thought to himself, wanting to tell her but feeling it would be to late to say that, after all you do say something like that as soon as you see the person. "I don't believe I said this, but you look very nice today. I really like the dress your in." Keefe said with a smile as he turned to look at the sky. Better late than never.

Elaine smiled. "I thought you'd like it." She could feel his eyes on her. It made her slightly self conscious. She wondered what he was thinking. Then he complimented her. It partially answered her question. "Thank you kind sir." She grinned with a sweet tone. As they laid there Elaine laced her fingers with Keefe's while watching the sky. She was very glad she had brought him out here. Although it took most of the courage she had to do so. The grass swayed around them and she watched it a bit, most of her attention taken up by a little black beetle climbing a stalk.

Keefe blushed some as he felt Elaine's fingers wrap around his. A smile came over his face as she did so though, and in return Keefe gently squeezed the girls hand, happy that it was just the two of them. As Keefe watched the sky he noticed a few clouds flout over them. "Hey look!" Keefe said as she pointed up to the sky with his free hand, "That cloud looks like a dog."

Elaine felt the pressure on her hand and she smiled to herself. Her gaze was dragged from the persistent beetle as hr mentioned a cloud. Tilting her head a bit to see it from the same angle she grinned. "Wow it does!" She looked around at some of the other clouds. She pointed at another one. "There's a horse!" She laughed.

"Ah ya!" Keefe smiled with a light chuckle, "Ummm... Ohhh Ohhh!!!" Keefe said as he pointed up to another cloud, "That one looks like a dinosaur breathing fire!" Keefe smiled, enjoying the time he was spending with Elaine, even if it was the two of them saying what clouds looked like.

"You mean a dragon?" The girl giggled remembering an author using the same description for a large fire-breathing reptile. She gave a short little sigh before sitting back up for a moment. Pulling her fingers from his grasp she covered up the biscuits again. Sitting them back in the basket she picked up her sketchbook to out it back as well when a loose piece of paper fluttered out. Glancing down at it she took a moment to realize what it was before hastily snatching it back up and stuffing it down into the basket under the book. It was the page she was still working on from the Festival. She tried covering up her frantic movement by sitting back and giving a breathy, embarrassed laugh at herself.

"No, I mean a dinosaur." Keefe said in a some what childish voice as he sat up with Elaine, "Dragons can have wings and what not, but this one didn't have those, and besides it looked like a.... Oh what was the name of it..." Keefe said as he tried to remember the name of the dinosaur, "You know the ones with the big heads and the tiny arms. They ate meat." Keefe tried to describe a Tyrannosaurus Rex to the girl sitting next to him. Just then something fluttered out of her basket as she quickly snatched it up. Keefe looked at her with wide eyes, "What was that all about?" He asked with a light smile, having a feeling it came from her sketch book.

Elaine heard his tone and it briefly reminded her of Jasper. She shrugged off his question. "It was nothing. And I know which dinosaur your talking about but the name isn't clicking yet. I'm sure one of us will think of it." She smiled at him. Then Elaine looked a bit surprised as she remembered something. "Oh, you do know what this field has a point where you can't see the tree line anymore right? Nothing but field grass as far as the eye can see." She motioned with her arm in a wide arc. Lowering her arm she sighed. It smelled wonderful out here, so earthy.

"Ok." Keefe said as he tried to think of the name of the creature the two of them were thinking of. His mind began to wonder but was then brought back when Elaine said something about the field they were in. "Wow... That sounds great!" Keefe said as he looked over, as it was looking one way lead your eyes to see nothing but field, looking the other had them see nothing but trees. Both were truly a beautiful sight.

Elaine snapped her fingers in an aha moment. "Tyrannosaurus!" The girl smiled, pleased with herself. She should go read up on her prehistoric animals tonight. It struck her fancy. "What are you thinking about?" She asked him trying to keep conversation going. She leaned back finding it much more comfortable than sitting up straight. Her green eyes landed on the fruit as they flickered between him and their surroundings. Reaching over she plucked a few grapes and gave Keefe a cheeky grin as she popped one in her mouth.

"Ahhh!!! Ya!! That's it!!!" Keefe said with a smile as he snapped his fingers. "What am I thinking about?" Keefe re-asked as he turned to look at Elaine, grabbing an apple and rolling it back and forth in his hand. "I don't really know... Just how beautiful this place is, how happy I am you asked me to come... How I kind of want to paint this." Keefe said with a light smile, not really knowing what to say, "What about you?" Keefe asked as he took a bite of the apple.

She listened attentively while eating another grape. She smiled as be mentioned his happiness of her asking. It made her all fuzzy inside, which was an odd feeling but still very nice. Then she laughed, oh the comedic values of art. "Me? Oh well, lots of things. Like how strangely sweet these grapes are." Elaine scrutinized one curiously. "And how very glad I am that you weren't too busy. I enjoy spending time with you." Her gaze softened a bit as she gazed at the small purple fruit.

"Me too." Keefe said as he looked down at his apple. He always felt something when he was with her... He always felt... Complete in a strange way. Funny they hadn't met to long ago yet they always seemed to be together... It was nice. As Keefe looked up some he thought that Elaine may be thinking that he thought the grapes were sweet too, he hadn't even tried the grapes "I mean I feel the same about being with you. Not about the grapes." He smiled as he rubbed the back of his head. She was smarter than that she would have understood! "I...Ummmm... Didn't- Uhhhh...." Keefe tried to apologized but just ended up getting flustered, so instead he just flopped back onto the ground, with apple in hand. "Why is it hard to talk to you sometimes..." He said under his breath, but just loud enough for the girl to hear him.

Elaine chuckled at his response. So the grapes were out of the question eh? The girl smiled, she seemed to do that a lot around him and never once regretted it. And there he was getting all tripped up in his words again. She ate a grape thoughtfully. "What makes you think I know?" She teased lightly looking over her shoulder at him. "Ever tried just running it all together and not stopping for anything?" Elaine laid down beside him and looked over, her green eyes curious. But she couldn't hold his gaze for long. She looked away rather shyly.
