Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Oh..." Keefe said with a light smile and a slight look of question to his face, "Well lead the way then!" Keefe smiled as he caught up to the faster pace the girl had, and then slowed down when she did. Keefe looked around some as they walked watching some of the people they passed, smiling all the time. "So," Keefe began as he turned to look at the girl, "How has your day been so far? Anything interesting?" Keefe asked with a smile.

"Spent most of it in the Theater actually. Then I went to see Archie." She looked ahead down the street. They weren't as far away as she had feared. And besides it led to enjoyable walks. "They needed an extra hand so I volunteered since I was already there." Elaine explained gripping the basket tighter as it slipped down her forearm. A sliver of her bangs fell down into her eyes as she readjusted her hold. Elaine blew it away with a puff. "Made any good sales?" She asked him.

"Oh." Keefe said, interested in what she did, and slightly excited to hear about Archie, "Does Archie have anything new?" Keefe asked wondering if he should stop by sometime to check it out. He looked around some as they walked, still listening to every word Elaine said. "That's nice of you, I'm sure they appreciated the help." Keefe smiled as he turned to look at her some.
As they walked Keefe began to wonder where they were headed, trying to think if it would be a new place or one they had been to. "Oh, sales?" Keefe said as he turned his attention back to the girl, "I have to say it has been a bit slow lately, that's why I was out in front of the shop. Thought I could drum up some costumers that way. People come by here and there but never seem to want to buy. Though I must say your piece is rather popular! Everyone who comes in always stops and asks about it." Keefe said with a smile.

Elaine ran over the list of new inventory Archie had given her to sort. "He has a few new sculptures if your interested. And several artworks in the back he hadn't put out yet." She nodded gratefully as his comment. The girl took a left and turned them away from the heart of the city. The buildings were becoming spaced apart and there were notably fewer around. She was sorry things were slower but as he mentioned her painting and its popularity she felt a swell of pride. Standing a bit straighter the short girl grinned. "Oh! I have another one ready of you want it. It's not as big as the last one although I highly doubt size has much effect. Any day you want me to drop it off?" She glanced at him then back at the road to avoid an inch or so of broken cobblestone sticking up out of the ground.

"Hmm... I'll have to stop by then." Keefe thought to himself as he followed the girl, realizing they were going somewhere he had never been to before. As Elaine mentioned a new piece, Keefe's eyes lit up as he turned to look at the girl, "Oh you have a new piece! I can't wait to see it! I'm fine if you bring it by anytime this week, except Friday." Keefe said as he looked down at the road noticing the broken pathway. "I do my shopping on Friday!" Keefe added with a smile.

Elaine laughed at his excitement. Friday eh? "I'll keep that in mind." She purred teasingly. The stones under her feet soon crumbled into soft grass. It felt springy and cooler than the chunks of stone. Trees began to dot the area adding some new scenery to look at. "Watch out for these trees. They slap." She said glaring at a branch above her head. "True story!" Elaine let go of Keefe's arm to balance herself on a root that had raised up out of the ground. "It's not much further." The girl assured walking the short length of exposed root gleefully trying to keep her balance.

Keefe's eyes wondered as the trees began to appear. His attention was lost in them until Elaine said that they bit, and just as she said that they did. Keefe walked right into a branch, it slapped him smack dab in the middle of his face, "OWW!!" Keefe cried out some as he took his hands and held them up to his face, holding it for a moment. "I'll be sure to watch out for them now." Keefe joked as he rubbed his face some, making sure to duck and weave under the branches as he followed behind the girl. His eyes lit up some when she said they were getting closer, his excitement began to grow as well.

The feline put a hand on her forwhead as she heard him cry out. "Boys! You always have to learn the hard way!" Elaine laughed turning to look at him. "Poor thing." She teased. "Want me to kiss it and make it better?" The girl twirled on her heel at her joke and kept going. Shaking her head lightly she looked up to see the gaps in the trees that allowed spots of sky to show through. It was pretty, Elaine then looked down. Sunlight dappled the ground and you could see the beams through the trees every so often if you were in the right spot. She was loving the warm weather.

"Well... I guess that's how you have to learn sometimes..." Keefe said with a slight smile as he continued to rub his face some. Keefe blushed slightly when Elaine asked him if he wanted her to kiss it "Yes..." He thought, and in doing so his face became that much redder, "Did I just think that?!" Keefe though again as he tried to shake the thought from his head. Once his face cooled down some Keefe caught up to Elaine and was walking next to her again, "This is a very beautiful place." Keefe smiled as he looked around, still watching where he was walking though.

Elaine nodded. "It gets even better." She said adding a hint of excitement to her voice. They were nearing the end of the forest where the tree line broke away to a large meadow of grass as high as her knees. You could tell the sunlight was getting stronger as they came closer. Elaine couldn't wait anymore with a laugh she began sprinting. "Hurry up!" She teased.
The girl made it out of the trees and into the sun as the field opened up. Tall grass swayed lazily around her and looked like it rippled in waves in the soft breeze. It was only about to their knees and you could see patches of wildflowers here and there. Birds darted around here and there and their sweet songs could be heard. The sky was crystal blue and clear with thick fluffy clouds drifting about. Looking up and down the length of the field you couldn't see its beginning or end or the trees opposite. The girl turned to Keefe with a smile. "What do you think?" She asked letting the breeze ruffle her hair.

Keefe smiled as he was told it was going to get better. Just then Elaine just ran off saying to hurry up, "Hey! Wait up!" Keefe called out with a smile as he chased after her. She was a lot faster than he was even though he had longer legs. As he caught up to the girl, he was out of breath and just flopped down onto the ground, facing up towards the clouds. "Ahhh..... You..... win......" Keefe said as he tried to catch his breath.
Sitting up some he looked around. "Wow..." Keefe said as he looked everywhere. The sights, the smells, the feels, everything was amazing, more than he could have ever thought. "This is amazing..." Keefe said as he turned around some looking at the flowers that where here and there. He laid back down and then looked up to the sky, watching all the clouds go by. He was mesmerized by them, by everything.

Elaine grinned as he flopped down into the grass. The girl sat the basket down busied herself with the checkered blanket as he caught his breath. Finding a flatter spot she unfolded it so it would lay itself out. After finding four rocks to hold down the corners she grabbed the basket and sat down flipping open the top. Her sketchbook laid in the top. She had meant to leave it at Archie's. Setting it beside her she pulled out a small covered bowl of biscuits and a jar of honey. And due to Keefe's love of fruit she had another bowl of various fruits.
The girl then pulled out a small metal pitcher. She thought she was a genius this morning when she found it and the lid that went to it. Cold tea for all! Her mother had made tea that morning and Elaine had taken off with it. She could always make more. The girl grinned. "Get over here unless you want to be a bug's feast!" She called joking. Grabbing a spoon she popped open the honey jar and pulled apart a biscuit before dribbling honey on one half. She stretched out her legs and sat with one hand behind her for balance.

"Ok, on my way." Keefe said with a smile as he stood up and walked over to where Elaine had placed the blanket and basket. After sitting down next to Elaine he looked at everything she pulled out, "Ahhh!!! No way!!!" Keefe said as he saw the bowl of fruit, "You brought fruit!!!" Keefe said with a wide smile as he looked at the bowl, wanting to take it and just walk off, though that would be just slightly rude. His eyes wondered and ended up landing on Elaine's sketch book. "Ohh..." Keefe though as he looked at the cover of it, "Mind if I have a look? I think the last time I saw this was when we first met, on the docks." Keefe said with a slight smile, hoping she would say yes and would tell him about what she drew.

"Of course I brought fruit!" She laughed. "I couldn't let you starve now could I?" The girl teased. He lived and breathed two things. Art and fruit. She looked down to see what he as asking about. Her sketchbook. "Oh... sure! You can look if you like." She had several new things and one in the very back that she figured no one would ever find. It was her favorite at the moment. It was a sketch of Keefe from her point of view the time he had gotten her to dance. It had been a very special moment to her and special things were meant to be drawn. Otherwise what would be the purpose of art if you couldn't express the little things that couldn't be put into words. She had taken the time to even shade most of it. It still had to be cleaned up a bit though. She fixed the other half of her honey biscuit while he looked through it.

"I do eat other things other than fruit." Keefe said as he picked the sketch book up and looked away, acting slightly dramatic even though he was just playing with the girl, "I just prefer fruit." He said as he looked down at the book and began to flip though the pages. Keefe enjoyed looking at art and loved every minute he could do so, but there was something about Elaine's work that made him love art even more than he did, there was something... Special about it, and even the little sketches she had that most artist would hate to show, made him want to look and see even more of her work.
As he flipped though the pages he made sure to look at each on carefully, studying every line, every stroke, everything that was made on the paper. Once he was done with looking at the last picture he flipped the page to find it blank, "Wow... These are wonderful." Keefe said with a smile, he wondered though... The back of a sketch book always held secrets, especially his. He was tempted to look but felt it wrong to just go back there, after all the ending of the book can always be the best part.
