Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
OPEN TO ALL The sun set between the buildings, casting strange silhouettes. The theater district had been transformed by streamers of red, violet and magenta hearts, paper lanterns set an atmospheric glow and festival booths littered the streets under every gas lamp to draw customers to them. In the center of the theater district where the Luncheon Park was located (A small grassy square with a spatter of trees and a circular bike path) housed the bigger carnival rides that had been set up just for this occasion. Enthusiastic tinkerers rode around the bike path in their elaborately made and decorated steam-cycles with all the bells and whistles. Crowds buzzed with lively chatter and laughter as they rushed around excitedly. Street performers eagerly set up in their own little corners with tips jars and hats, filling the crisp air with love music.
The "Royal Palace" was performing hour after hour of romantic comedies, while one of their receptionist stood outside the door drawing in a crowd with her voice and selling tickets. The Gentleman's Club known as the "Gears and Whistles" sent their ladies outside to line the front of the building and attract customers. Even the "Steam Dream Casino" had gotten into the festivities, decorating their windows to match the monthly theme, placing up posters advertising any card hand with the queen of hearts was worth double its value in EMP for just this limited time only!
Spirits were high, music was loud, drinks and entertainment abound.
Max grumbled as she walked into the festival. Seems it was that time of year again. She had never cared for the festival, but thought it wouldn’t be a bad idea to at least visit the place. If anything, she could pick up a coin or two dropped by somebody. She kept her hood up and eyes at the ground as she walked through the stalls, although someone who knew her figure would be able to recognize her easily.

Here he was, once again; In the thick of these glorious entertainments, a celebration dedicated to all that the Goddess Aphrodite stood for. A time for romance to blossom, friendships to flourish, and family bonds to strengthen. It was no wonder then that Stephen Leland was alone amid all the delightful atmosphere. The man sat at the fountains edge, attracting about as much attention as gum on the sidewalk.
A certain gloom loomed over the distressed noble. Why was he here again? Did he enjoy this torture? It seemed to be the case. Even now he recalled that since the last time he had partaken this Festival things had not turned out all that wondrous. With a despondent sigh, the noble turned his eye up to examine the disturbingly bright sky. Watching a fluffy white cloud puff on by, he debated on whether or not he should just up and leave the event. Quite a few people would most likely not be too thrilled to see him here. Then again, what did he care.
Clancy had been really suber-uber busy for the past few weeks, getting little time to see Iaco at all- well, aside for that one time..... Though he had not planned for things to turn out this way, he sure as hell was going to make it all up to Iaco today. After all, it was the Festival of Hearts! It was the perfect chance to spend the whole day with the man he cared for the most in this world.
Grinning like a loon, Clancy bounced up to the dark haired man's door and burst in with a clumsy flurry. In his hands he bore gifts: a heart shaped box filled with white chocolate and a bouquet of roses. "Iacoooo~!" the pink haired fella called out in a sing-song voice. Hearing no reply, he adjusted the presents behind his back and looked around. Maybe the bae the man in question was still in bed.
The playful grin on his face widened as he crept up the stairs. "Iaco~! It's meee~! Are ya awake? I got ye ah present! Do ya know what taday is? I didn' forget~! Today's tha Festival of Hearts! Where are ya? Come out, handsome~" he cooed softly.

(well lets kick things off, this time is Eryn's turn, if Mulven appears expect Rava to follow suit, also will kick others over time )
"Whhhhhhhhaaaaaaaaaa~" the only sound Eryn could make as she left the theater, she was told that today was one special day and that she had to find out herself. before she felt lodan was nice but this was a lot more colored then before through the goggles. there was alot of sounds and things and light, there was of the same shape about and it felt like the fall festival and that odd event that happened over the cold time when white stuff fell in the streets.
as she adventured out she held her teddy bear in her arm, her bag over her shoulder as she decided to explore this festival.

Pushing through a group of strangers, she young rogue continued through the festival, looking for something, anything, to pass the time. She wasn’t even sure why she showed up to this thing each year. What was there to gain from it? Reminders of how lonely she was? No, surely she had a reason, she just didn’t remember it. Just like many other parts of her life.
Coming to the end of a row of stands, Max spotted a familiar face sitting by the fountains. Approaching slowly, Max took a seat near the grouchy noble, Stephen was his name. Her hood covered her face well, but it didn’t matter seeing as the man was lost in thought.
“Not enjoying the festival either?” she asked quietly. It was about time to try and give Zona’s conversation skills a try.
Stephen snorted, his eyes turning to see who was in his company. "What, this is a festival? I thought it this was just a terrible ruse to make us lonely fools believe that love is out there for us." He raised an eyebrow at Max, somewhat surprised her first remark had not been hostile. "Why are you here? I mean some offence in saying that I did not peg you the type of person to be found at an event like this."
“I’m not here looking for love if that’s what you’re saying,” she replied calmly. Tonight wasn’t a night where his rude comments would get under his skin. Odd, she wasn’t even sure why. She looked up at the sky, thinking about his comment more. “I came because I felt like I should. No other reason,” she paused a few moments before remembering Zona’s advice about asking a question. “What about you? I thought you’d be staying away from love with the whole wedding crash.”

Iaco stirred slightly, as he lay in bed, slowly awakening. He sat up with a yawn, still half asleep and not registering who was there. His curly head of hair seemed even poofier and stuck up at odd angles. Shaking out his head, he looked up, and saw Clancy at the top of the stairwell, and his yellow eyes widened. "Clancy?"
Stephen grimaced slightly and turned to stare at the busy crowed in front of them. The girl really had no idea why he had ditched his wedding in the first place. Had she know, that comment would have be an obvious blunder on her part. Thankfully, only he knew his reasons; and that was for the best. "I suppose you could say I enjoy my own torment. When did you learn how to small talk anyways. You did not have these skills from when we last conversed." Since there was nothing better to do, he might as well talk to her.
Scoffing, Max continued the conversation. So far it was a little interesting, if only to pass the time. “Someone simply insisted on teaching me… And, well, I’m working on it,” she said a bit awkwardly. She was surprised she had made it this far holding a conversation with this guy. He hated her after all. Perhaps he’d get up and leave soon, seeing as Max ran out of interesting things to say.

The pink haired man froze for a moment at the top of the stairs, blushing a little. Catching Iaco all sleepy eyed like this was a little to much for the poor fellow. He was just so God-darned cute; and it had been so long since he had last seen him. With a huge smile, Clancy bounced once again into motion. Skidding to a stop next to the bed, he leaned over and planted a kiss right smack dab on his lover's lips, being sure to keep the presents hidden behind his back. After a moment he pulled away just enough so that he could look into Iaco's sleepy golden eyes. "Good Mornin', I-ah-co~. Happy Valentines Day" he hummed softly with a playful grin as his hazel eyes danced with adoration and excitement.

Elaine threw open the door to her room and flew down the wooden stairs of the inn. The innkeeper smiled and waved as she raced past. She was wearing her normal outfit only with different colors. Her usual whit shirt and black corset, with a flowy red skirt down to her ankles. She even tied a pink sash around her hips. Just for the day. She left her hair untied and it seemed even longer now that her bangs were down with the rest of it. She wasn't used to her skirt brushing around her feet but she clutched a handful of it to keep it up off the ground. Today was an exciting day for Elaine. Not only was the Festival of Hearts about finding love, it was also about finding art. The festival was always teeming with carts full of paintings, pottery, jewelry, and all kinds of wonderful things. And many of her friends would probably be there. It would also give her the chance to take some sketches of lovebirds. After dodging a few pedestrians and some wagons coming away from the festival her ears picked up the wonderful sound of music. Voices laughing and chatting soon filled the air as the colors of red and pink boldly stuck out against the buildings. The park looked lush and green and a few high pitched whistles made her wince as bicyclers rode past. Two familiar faces sat together at the fountains. Her two guildmates and friends, Stephen and Max. She threw them a smile and a wave as she passed but didn't stop to talk. She didn't want to interrupt the peace that was between them. It wasn't unusual to see them together but they were normally staring daggers. Maybe the festival has everyone laid back a bit. Booths began to catch her attention but one with gleaming trinkets on it actually pulled her over. Blown glass animals and flowers of all sorts were spread out on display. Elaine tucked one side of her hair back behind her ear and gazed at the little sculptures in wonder.
Eryn was amazed at all the red and light red as she walked down the streets , she didn't know what to say or what to do , but as she she walked she saw a person playing a piano , it was then she know what she wanted to do on this day , she run over to the piano and tune herself to the music and let her voice carry her.
as they played she song regardless of the tune that was made. she just want to sing with the music. as this happened people gathered around to hear her. cheering and throwing flowers and coins to her feet , as the music slowly stopped people started to clap as she took a bow trying to copy the actors in the theater.

The blue haired girl fidgeted in the passion red dress that Linda had picked out for her to wear today. It was apparently the required fashion that all the un-wedded noble women wear this... honestly ridiculous and puffy dress. "I swear, if you had a tail, I'd be twisting it." she hissed to the maid who was escorting her through the festivities. The half-feline maid simply looked back at her mistress and gave the most innocent look imaginable... spoiled somewhat by the smirk playing in her eyes. "Well, such things are as they are my lady." the maid replied. Ikuze sighed before gritting her teeth once more as she passed by a gaggle of girls who were looking at her and whispering. She couldn't make out all the words, but she drat well knew what the topic of conversation was.
Her wedding.
If she wasn't trying to play the part of a noble woman so much... and if Linda wasn't there as well, she would have probably gone straight over there and punched each and every one of their bloody teeth out from their damned skulls. Or used her magic to make them do it to each other for her... Every time she left the house, all she heard about from people was the god damned wedding! What an embaressment it was, how tragic it must be for her, and so on and so forth... Then there were the "veiled" proposals. Nine out of ten of the noblemen who came across her path seriously needed to take some lessons in being subtle. Once more Ikuze sighed and played with an errant lock of her hair, as she pondered what could have been if she had not tried, and succeeded, in sabotaging her own wedding... She then felt Linda trying to... steer her away from a certain area. "What are you-" she began to ask before she spotted a certain cyclopean assassin. "...Screw it." said the thief, wrenching herself free from Linda's grip and continuing on her original path, a few people taking notice of the former bride heading in the same direction as her former groom was... the same former groom whom was to all appearances, chatting up another woman!
When she got close to him, she gave a slight cough. "Can we talk?" she asked, glancing around at the slight crowd looking at them. "...What's the most lady-like way of suggesting a group of people pi-" Ikuze began to whisper to her maid before the maid slowly nodded and turned her attention to the prying eyes. "Do you not all have better things to do than gawk and leer this day? You are distressing my mistress." the maid addressed the group, who dejectedly dispersed. Ikuze nodded at the maid before looking at Stephen. "One word about the dress and I'm gonna really make you need that eyepatch." warned the thief, a slight smirk on her face the only tell that she may not be entirely honest about the threat.
