Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

She chuckled. "Personally the very best view is my front porch looking in.* But if not personal, then maybe the front of the queen's palace gates. Its very pretty." Elaine dat down on the edge and let her feet hang over. "I haven't ever gone to the outskirts before or to many of the farms. Bit of a city girl I suppose. So my sightseeing is limited to within the walls and alleys of Lodan." She swung her legs in the air. "You having traveled have seen much more than me." Elaine waved a hand nonchalantly. Looking back over her shoulder she saw Lasair staring out at the city lights. "They are even better when your on top of a high building. It looks like the stars but reversed and much closer."

“Would you like to go on a sightseeing trip? One not so limited to the walls of the city?” He didn’t sit down with her, not daring to hang his legs out there like she was, but he was happy to stand behind her and to the side. “We could go to the borderland forest, which is on one side of the city, or to that field I told you about, which is on the other.” Lasair kind of felt like exploring today, even if it was just to places he had already been to. Visiting them would be rather fun, unless Elaine had something more exciting in mind.

"I might be interested." Elaine said. "But isn't the borderland forest rumored to be bad? Like going in and never coming back out kind of bad?" Both sounded like places she would go. Regardless of danger. Still her small drop of experience outside the city did nothing to boost her eagerness. And she did want to know her way to the field for a possible future date with Keefe. Either way they would have to go back down the way they came up to go anywhere. She wasn't sure if Lasair could handle a rooftop run.

“It’s only bad if you wander in too far. Standing at the tree line let’s you get a really good look at everything and it can be rather pretty, in it’s own eerie way. Hard to describe unless you’ve been there,” he explained, remembering how he had avoided the forest for a long time after the incident. But when he did finally return there, he decided that he kind of liked it, especially since he knew the dangers it could hold.

Elaine pondered this for a moment. " I guess the field." Getting up and not daring to look Lasair in the lest he get the idea she was interested in a romantic date with a certain someone. She was just curious. And she didn't exactly want to push her luck with the borderlands just yet. Maybe another day. "Well," She said placing her hands on her hips, "Only way down is the way we came up." She gave him a cheeky smile. "Do you want me to go first so you can see how it's done?" She said joking with the red-haired boy. Elaine snickered lightly.

Lasair made a mental note to bring her to the forest one day, if not today. But for now, the field was a good spot. “No, I got it,” he said, knowing it was much easier to head down than back up. He walked back over to where they climbed up from and slowly eased down onto the first box. When he tried to go down to the second one, however, he lost his footing and slipped off. Didn’t hit his head, but he did land awkwardly on his arm. He’d be feeling that tomorrow.

Elaine gave him a nod and moved to the side to let him by. She watched him climb down. His slip made her jump. Elaine worried if he had hurt himself badly. It could cut their night dangerously short. "Lasair? Are you ok?!" Elaine cried dropping to her knees to lean over. Countering her balance. She stared down with wide eyes trying to judge if he had broken or sprained anything.

“I’m…fine,” he called back to her, grunting as he pulled himself into a sitting position. His right arm hurt quite a bit, however as he tested the motions, he was still able to move it without much pain. “No more climbing,” he declared. He stayed on the ground, waiting for Elaine to get off the roof and join him.

Elaine stood back up still watching him concerned. The box he fell from hadn't moved much but the first wobbled under her as she stepped on it. The girl paused a moment to get her bearing before dropping off the first to the second, and then from the second to the ground. "Are you sure your alright?" She asked stepping up to him and observing. "And definitely no more climbing. At least not for you tonight." She affirmed. She didn't make a move to leave until he was done testing his arms mobility. Her green eyes scanned the area to see if the commotion had aroused any shady people.

Standing up now, Lasair stretched his arm a bit more and then smiled to Elaine. “I’m quite alright I assure you.” His arm kind of ached, but he was sure it’d be fine. He’d broken bones before, and this didn’t feel like one of those times.

The girl narrowed her eyes at him before letting the topic go. The air rustled around them and Elaine pushed a strand of rogue hair out of her face. 'Unruly curls!' She thought. "Well if your sure than we can go if you like." She didn't bother with taking his arm. She took a few steps towards the maze of streets.

Following Elaine, he snuck up behind her and looped his good arm with hers. “It’ll be a wonderful trip, I assure you,” he smiled. The field was to the south of the city, while the forest was to the north. Since they were already at the ports, it would be a much shorter trip than if they were in the middle of the city.

"I'll take your word for it." Elaine glared at him. Not a threatening look, but one that said she had good reason for not taking his arm in the first place. She didn't want to pull on him. And she tried to bore this thought through his skull by staring intently at his red hair. But to no avail, she wasn't telepathic. Giving up on her original task she looked around. They weren't far from where they began but she wanted to make sure she could find her way regardless. "So, what have you been doing recently?" Elaine asked taking mental notes about the surroundings as she did so.

Elaine was giving him a look, probably about how he grabbed her arm, but he just couldn’t help it. It was so much more enjoyable to walk while holding someone’s arm. “The same old. Hanging out with people and all the like. What about you?”

"Pretty much helping around the shop and preforming sometimes down in the theater district. Oh, and drawing. Lots of that." She said simply. "And possibly meeting new people has been my thing lately." She thought about mentioning another round with Archie which of course ended in her running from a broom. But she would keep that under wraps. If she could just sneak in there one day and clean! It was a mess. And who knows what that broom was full of. Dust, cobwebs, and dead spiders? Yuck. Elaine shivered involuntarily at the thought.
