Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Elaine waved off the offer. "No thank you. Not tonight." She wanted to return home sober. Not embarrassingly tipsy after one drink. She gave an encouraging thumbs up to Clair. "But by all means don't let me stop you two." She grinned.

“Alright, in that case I think you’d like a Classic Sangria,” he said to Clair. “If you change your mind, just say the word. My treat,” he said to Elaine next. “I think I’ll have a pina colada myself.” He leaned back and relaxed then, settling into his chair. It was a nice place to relax.
Grins at said remarks from both of them. "Sangria... sounds fancy," Clairee smiled. She relaxed in her chair, feeling more comfortable spending time with these two than she had with anyone else in a long time. "I'm sorry I interrupted you both earlier, but I'm glad to spend time with you now, so I don't feel 'too' sorry."

“I can’t speak for Elaine, but I’m glad to see you. It’ll be fun, hanging out, chatting bout everything. Just be careful not to drink too much Clair.” He winked at her as he said that. A few moments later the waitress walked up, asking for orders. “A pina colada and classic sangria,” he said to the lady and then gestured to Elaine in case she wanted to order something.

Elaine held her menu out to the woman so she could take it. "Just a deli sandwich please. Nothing else. Thank you." the waitress nodded, scribbled the order down on her notepad, picked up the menus and scurried off. Elaine turned to back to her companions for the evening. "You two know each other well?" Elaine asked glancing between them. She already felt the tension from the day melting away from just having a moment to sit with friends and new friends alike.
With her most stoic composure she nodded, very grown up indeed. "Don't worry about me, I'll be fine," she reassured. Elaine ordered some food and Clair wondered if she ought to have done the same, but then again she could always eat when she got home, and it would be a lot cheaper too.

“I know Clairee pretty well. Her and I haven’t had a chance to really hang out much, but she’s good company.” He smiled to the two of them as he answered Elaine’s question. Their drinks should be there before the food was, but given the influx of people who also wanted to hide from the rain, it was hard to tell just how long the wait would be. Until then, some nice conversation was always enjoyable.

"It seems so." Elaine said giving Clair a friendly smile. She looked around at all the newcomers filling up the building. 'Soon to be crowded.' She thought. But this day hadn't turned out so boring after all. She had run into Lasair and then met Clair. Deciding to scoot the conversation along she spoke, "So how have you all been?" Elaine crossed her feet under the table and pulled them back as far as she could on her toes. A comfortable position to view the table and those beyond.

"Our mare just gave birth to a new foal. Was up late last night tending to her, but it was all worth it. He's going to be a beautiful horse." Clairee answered casually, as if everyone was accustomed to birthing horses or cattle in their back yards.

“I’m doing well,” Lasair answered, still a bit surprised by Clair’s answer. “How many horses do you have now?” he asked, hoping his lack of familiarity with the topic didn’t show in his voice.

"Wow! That sounds amazing." Elaine exclaimed. She hadn't seen as many horses as she had liked to in her life. Let alone foals. She mulled this over with her imagination waiting for Clair to respond to the red haired mans question before asking more about her farm.
"Oh the number changes a lot, soon as one is old enough to ride, we break them in and sell them to the nobles, they like having their own riding horses, usually the purebreds, any extra mares we raise end up horses to pull carriages so they get sold too when the time is right. we keep sixteen stalls maximum, though they're almost never all filled." Their orders arrived and were arranged on the table in front of their consumers.

“Do you have a horse for yourself?” He asked, reaching forward to grab his drink. Eying Clariee’s drink, he wanted to see what her reaction was to it, if it was the right kind of flavor she was looking for, and if the burn of the alcohol bothered her as it usually did with non-drinkers.

Elaine gladly bit into her sandwich. The satisfaction written plainly on her face. A farm, with horses, and other kinds of animals. That was an interesting way to live. And sixteen stalls?! She processed this information contentedly.

"Not unless you count the mare. Father let me ride her when I was little and she was much younger, but the other horses come and go so often that we don't keep them for ourselves. Sometimes we do boarding for other peoples horses too, when they want us to breed them, so we keep them for a few weeks till we know the mare is with kit, the return the stallion to his master." Clairee lifted the glass in a silent cheers, then touched the rim to her lips. She smelled the sweetness of the drink before she tasted it and her eyes closed in reaction, both enjoyment and a little scrunching of her brows at the tangy aftertaste.
