There had been sweet rumours circulating around in the last few days. Sweet like a free morning of biscuits, cake slices and fancy teas - a tea party open to anyone interested, held at one of the apartments on the more charming area of the Theater District.
This District was faring reasonably well and remained unscathed (with all things considered) from Sveden's fire when compared to others like the Central Square and the Hovel, and after the 'explosive' end of the masquerade at the Queen's gardens (which gossips pray might be cursed by something) and Sveden's blind mortar attacks through Lodan, a calm little party where one could sit in a fine environment sounded dreamy... Or at least the loads of promised free snacks and being under a firm roof sounded like a very alluring detail.
It would happen this day, the 25th, at 8am in the designed adress.
.........
Edelweiss rolled on her bed and begrudgingly opened her eyes. Someone was knocking on the front door. What... She looked at the clock on the wall across from her - it was 7:50 in the morning. Ugh. She had only came back home at 4AM after a full night working, a little less than 4 hours of sleep was not nearly enough to be awake. Knock, knock, knock. Whoever was it at the entrance didn't want to give up.
Rubbing her eyes some in a vain attempt to send the exhaustion, she slid her legs off the mattress. Too tired to get dressed, she just grabbed a robe and wrapped herself in it before sleepy-wobbling her way to the front door. She didn't remember order anything to be delivered, she didn't invite anyone over, her informants never knocked and she didn't want to buy anything. It was so freaking early still! Didn't those people sleep? Still, she lazily unlocked the door to see whoever was on the other side and opened it.
