Takes place in the first week of June. Open to Edelweiss Fjäril only
The guild library was dark, save for a few candles resting on the tabled around him. It was the middle of the night, not an unusual time for Lasair to be awake. He closed the book and set his pen aside, the ink dripping off it into the holder for the time being. He never expected to have regular conversations with Edelweiss remotely, using books that have been magically bound together. And yet, it has become a fairly common thing for them. Something that was a sort of secret for them to share. This particular conversation had revealed a bit of unexpected information. For one thing, Amon was alive. And for another, Edel wasn’t sure about quite how to cope with that.
And in turn, Lasair had admitted a few things to her as well. About his reoccurring nightmares mainly, but he also shared the fact that he had a new sort of nightmare tonight. One that involved being killed in cold blood for no given reason. By someone he knew personally, no less. Shaking his head, he closed the rest of the books on his desk and blew out the candles. He needed to get out the door quick if he wanted to catch an old friend of his; Edelweiss had mentioned aching for some sweets and he wanted to get some for her.
After a span of time somewhere between thirty and forty minutes (dived up between travel time and waiting for things to cool), Lasair finally arrived at the door to her apartment and took a deep breath before quietly knocking a few times, he didn’t want to wake up any neighbors after all. He held the small bag of warm and delicious smelling goodies out in front of him, ready to hand them to her as soon as she opened the door.
