Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(Open to CAEsAL , BOR and Magicae Incolentium members) (invite to Lasair Landevier Lupen ) (Ratna's story)
it was a surprise when Eryn found a letter when she arrived back home , it had been some time since she had been gotten one , however when she opened it this time she reconized the characters did not belong to Mrs Renehan, instead to someone else entirely, she tried her best to understand it , only making up a few worlds until she had to ask one of the others to help , they did and it was a short as the letter asked her to come to the docks tonight and need help.
Eryn didnt know what to think but she know it could not be good as she quickly got some doughnuts and ran back out as she made her way through the city , avoiding the areas that where being fire on by mortars. by the time Eryn arrived she saw the destruction of the docks. bring back a few memories before shaking it off and starteding her search , she needed to find the person who asked for help and do what she could to help them.

So, Ratna had been captured. Normally that wouldn’t matter, except for the fact that she was a member of MI. And members of MI needed to take care of each other. No exceptions. Ratna had faced her punishment and atoned for it. Which did not change the fact that she’s a member of the guild. And after contacting Edel (among other people) for some help in sneaking in to get Ratna back, he ended up asking if any guild mates would be interested in helping him with the rescue, and then heading out to the location.
When he saw a child there waiting to greet him, he was only slightly surprised; CAEsAL is known for their tendency to take in strays. So now he was at the docks, waving at this child as he began to approach her. He really hoped this was the right meeting place.
Eryn continued to searched until a man with bright orange/yellow hair started to approached her, Eryn locked on to him and looked in up and down as she recognized who he was . she remembered him from the trial before where both guilds tried out to do a conjoined trial. as the man got close enough he towered over her but Eryn was not scared of him at all. "h hello? , a are you the one who wanted help? , I think I reorganized you from before , your name is Fox? right?" Eryn asked as looked up to him as she introduce herself using her codename "my name is China , or China mouse sometimes." she said as she bowed greeting him with a kind smile.she know she had to be on her best behavior around people from the other guild.

Color Sayvahn pleased when he found that Lasair had gone to contact him. Color him displeased when it was just another “errand” for him to run. And here he thought he was going to be able to have a descent date with the man, as opposed to their last one. Hopefully this time things wouldn’t be as tense. Or forced. Regardless, this “errand” was optional, it seemed. To rescue the girl who wore Grey, apparently. Lady Grey. Yes, best to call her that. Girl who wore Grey was much to long. Getting to the docks did not take long, but Sayvahn did slow his pace. He had spotted the red head as well, and noticing that such bed of hair was not concealed, he figured that perhaps his mask was not needed, at least right then. Although it was very much prepared in the bag at his side in the case that it was needed at a moment’s notice. Still, he saw him meet with a girl- a young girl at that. And so tiny. Jesus. Stepping out from his hiding place- a building’s corner, Sayvahn approached the two, a hand on his hips. “My, I didn’t realize that you kept such young company, sir.” He mused, looking the child up and down, which wasn’t hard, regarding her height. He then leaned closer to the man, sporting a raised brow. “Please tell me she’s a civilian. If not, care to join me in a smoke? Apparently the world went to heck when I wasn’t looking.” Like it hadn’t already, but still. Such a young girl was asked to help them? Either she was skilled or had some relation to the mission, but regardless. It was tragic, for one so young.

China, huh? An easy name to remember. He was about to answer her when Sayvahn appeared. Lasair almost smiled at the man’s appearance, glad that he had decided to come after all. “I’ll pass,” he replied to Sayvahn before looking back to China.
“Yeah, I was told you could help me sneak in somewhere and rescue someone. It’s a bar called the Salty Dog. Do you know it?” He hoped she would say yes. If not then he had the wrong kid and would have to send her away and find the correct one. Why did Edelweiss have to take in so many strays? It was hard to keep track of them all.
"the salty dog?" Eryn looked around before pointing it out "that place over there , I dont know about it but i know its there , I only walked passed it a few times and it normally smells like sick and stuff as well as a bit of that black stuff that goes boom when it hits a spark, it normally has a man standing outside the door watching guard during the night however the backdoor and the upper windows seem unguarded but i dont know if the windows open. I would say that maybe the best way in."
as Eryn reported her findings from observation "the man looks like her carrying , something likely a blade or a hitting stick which I also think inside will be a few workers who are also armed. " as the other man came over she bowed to them and smiled as she continued "I think I can get us in , its not the worse place I had to sneak into, but getting out may be a problem depending on what state they are in and how much of a mess you want to make?" Eryn pursed for a moment as she looked back at the salty dog "if Mama Edelweiss was here she would advice the best course of action but am going with as little mess as possible,we reminded not seen but if we are seen we should knock them out. no one should see us inside , be like ghosts" Eryn was trying to act professional, remembering some of the stuff Edelweiss would say as she looked up to the 2 men.

Well, there went his salvation, Sayvahn muddily thought. He doubted smoking in front of the girl was the best idea anyway. Best not instill even further bad ideas into her head, and oh my goodness was she describing a bar? And gunpowder? Lord help her. A backdoor seemed simple enough, but it being unguarded? That seemed odd. Perhaps locked, from the inside, and as for the guards, well, a little explosion could take care of that. Firecrackers, even, to lead the men away. But the girl continued, making Sayvahn furrow his brow.
Leaning again toward Lasair, he whispered to him, “Lasair, I don’t know how I feel about her leading us into a place that may or may not be filled with possible enemies. If you like, I can possibly serve as a distraction, because well, you know how good I am at being one.” He wore a smile as he leaned away some to look toward the place, thinking about the possible layout inside. “This way it can give you and ghostie here some time to do whatever needs to be done, but, again, just a suggestion.” He flourished his hand, letting it rest once more on his hips as he inspected the fire-fox.

Lasair waited a few moments before answering, weighing his options internally. He turned to Sayvahn. “A distraction would be helpful, but only if you could regroup with us afterward. We can see what’s out here easily, but we don’t know what’s inside. And I’d rather have your help facing the unknown.”
And then to Eryn, “Do you know where they would hold someone inside?”
Eryn thought for a moment to answer the question "w well, it maybe anywhere in their , up stairs , down stairs , under the building , i.its hard to say since every place is different, its l.like not having a map for every place in the world" she said as she looked over to the salty dog thinking "I can only guess t the lowest area in the building?" Eryn guessed as best she could.

Regrouping hmmm? That may be a bit difficult. Leaning his head slightly, he was tempted to rest against the other, if anything, out of weariness at the prospect of the situation. It appeared that things were going to be a lot more difficult then he first thought. “Didn’t think you cared so much for my company, deary.” Sayvahn hummed, and at the girls answer, Sayvahn scrunched his face, unsure at what she was saying, exactly. So, everywhere basically. Lady Grey could basically be anywhere. Sighing, Sayvahn decided that he would lean on Lasair after all. “Indeed, sir. I think I share your sentiments on that.” Being alone was going to be annoying, on both their fronts. Although, Lasair technically would not be alone, but leaving the man with a child to rescue another child did not settle well with the feline. “So. Then, tell me, wise one, what’s the plan then? How do you expect to fit in a, what was it? A window? But I suppose maybe the little one here can sneak in for us and open the back door, hmmm? Frankly, we should make a decision soon. Standing out like this on the dock is truly not suspicious at all.” God, he wanted to light a blunt, but again, probably not the best thing to do with the child around.

Sayvahn was right, they couldn’t stand around talking all day. “Alright, China, can you sneak in through the window and open the back door? We can sneak in and start searching then. I think we should start with the basement.” Patting Sayvahn’s shoulder, he glanced up at the sky. “Sound good? Let’s go then.”
Eryn nodded " I can do that, just it may take me a minute to do" she started to head towards the Salty dog , however she had a feeling she was being watched as she went on her way over to the back of the building. she quickly scaled the back wall up to one of the windows. she looked around the window and noticed the window was barred with metal from the inside with no way through them. she then climbed her way to another window and looked in , again it was barred with metal. Eryn sighed as she climbed over to last window , this one however was not barred. it had a simple slide lock, something Eryn took the chance to use her Telekinesis I to slide it open. she pushed it opened and climbed in as she found herself in a bathroom of some kind, it. as Eryn made her way across the bathroom to the door, she noticed what looked like a photo on the mirror of a man. she remembered seeing that man somewhere but she could not recall when as she slowly opened the door and began to sneak her way down to the front door.

On any other day, perhaps Sayvahn would have welcomed that touch, that pat of “assurance” or “Let’s go do this before we change our minds,” but not today. Perhaps because that last sentiment came more from Sayvahn’s own thoughts rather than Lasair’s. But regardless, they were off— or mainly, the girl was off, scrambling like a tiny monkey or some other miniature animal up the side of the building. She inched her way from one side to the other, a spectacle highly unnoticed if it wasn’t for the fact that Sayvahn was trying to watch and keep up with the child. Yet, at one point, that proved to become difficult and so, he returned to the handsome and somewhat stationary man by his side.
“So, why do you think someone would have taken our little Lady Grey, hmmmm?” Sayvahn inquired, glancing around as they neared their own destination. “Did she incur some other individual’s wrath aside from your own, or is this just some ransom job?” Sayvahn hummed, a hand in his pocket as he played with the supplies inside of them. The topic of Lady Grey’s “trial” had not been discussed too much by them, if at all. Frankly, it had been so long that perhaps it was best to let it lie, but Sayvahn couldn’t help but poke the sleeping bear—or in this case, fox— with no intention of waking him in the slightest.

Lasair watched as the China girl scampered off, and then he motioned for Sayvahn to follow him as he began walking towards the building. Not directly towards it, but as if they were going to walk past it. A tangent line, in a way.
At the question, he shrugged, biting the inside of his cheek for a moment while trying to find an answer. “Dunno. She ran off into the woods after that night and when I went to try and find her, I found someone else picking her up instead. I thought they were just helping her out of the woods, but no. They locked her away instead.” He wished he had more details, it always made this sort of thing easier. But instead of details, he had an address. He worked with it.
Eryn made her way through the upstairs hall as she looked through each Keyhole she came across , most of the rooms where empty , as made her way where she found a set of stairs heading down one floor and below them another set of stairs heading down below, she creped down the stairs quietly as she could , making a few creeks on the way down. she pursed for a minute as she hear the voices of 2 people talking from the door near here , she took the time to listen to some of the chat before heading to the other door , she found a small hall leading to small rooms and at the end seems to be the backdoor , she made her way over and found that it was barred over with 4 metal bars holding the door shout , she lifted each of the bars which a bit of difficulty but she managed opened the back door. "done , over here!" she whispered over to the 2.
