Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Tilting his head, Sayvahn watched the sight as the man exploded, but the blast, the attack wasn’t strong enough to deal the finishing blow. Regardless, it had prevented the other’s attack, and had stopped it somewhat. Yet, more had to be done. The question was, whether to leave with Ratna, or deliver the finishing blow? Sayvahn was unsure, but this Elm— he may have the answer to what they needed. Lowering his eyes, the feline sighed, taking out his knife from his side pocket as he approached the mechanical beast ever so slowly. “Your studies? You mean your little cure, hmmm? Which is what, exactly? Pouring metal into my veins?” Sayvahn grimly laughed, approaching the man, indifferent as he burned, even thought the feeling, the smell, was ever so familiar. "Tell me— I'm rather interested in your little studies, metal man— if you are still one. Perhaps, in your testing your removed that part that defines you as so?" Again, the feline laughed, but the expression was still dismal. "Speak before I throw another grenade.'

“I’ll ask her when I see her again,” he said quickly as he reached the exit of the building. He could hear the sounds of fighting out in the distance and decided to immediately follow it. There wasn’t just one guild member at risk here, there were two. Double the risk, meaning he needed to put in twice the effort to keep them safe. As soon as he met the scene of the battle, he’d jump into the fight and hopefully end it before it gets too bad.
Eryn watched as lasair took off as she remained for a moment as she looked around , noticing a parchment on the side as well as knife that just been made. she quickly want over and look at them both as the plans on them numbered as well as names including Eryn's name and Ratna's. Eryn could not fully read what was written on them so she stuffed the plans into her back and grabbed the knife as she started to chase after Lasair. "oh you anders are all alike , when you dont resize that you are the ones who killing us slowly and stopping us from evolving into what we are meant to become!" Elm yeld as he swing his arm at Sayvahn as the the creature got up from losing a lot of its self as it protected its steam heart " my studies where on your race , how they where born with different sub races , with wings , like a cat or just dominant, never the less , the one thing that you have , that magic , d..d.d.d.ddear ander , didn't you think they magic interrupts machinery for no reason, its there to destroy Humans best things , a perfect counter isnt it , it blows up our guns , it destroys our machines , your even slowly killing me..am.ma..am.memem..me , the best of humanity evolution!..... your kind seeks to make this world your home peacefully? - nonsense! the longer you remain , sooner or later this great city will fall apart and every other cities after that until your have made this world as your own with us as your slaves and pets .... my cure for this , well simply kill off the thing that makes the magic... and if we can not remove you or your magic , I was going to contain you below this city , as you kind clearly does not deserve to be walking free." Elm then noticed the second person arriving as he took a stance , ready to charge at them "and if one fights the pack is sure to come , like wolfs or rats , I hate.both..both njso both!..." Eryn has arrived , as she used the roofs to traval , she looked and noticed the familiar thing , she was shocked that Elm was still alive and he was facing them. she know she could not just go out and finish Him , she would have to wait carefully and watch what would happen.

An arm, thrown in his direction. Sayvahn pushed himself out of the way, but in doing so, he slammed himself against a wall, the hard surface, causing the older man to grit his teeth. Oh boy. That was going to hurt in the following hour. “If you think humankind needs technology to evolve, I’m guessing that you forgot basic evolution my dear. A robot can’t have sex. Or, have you tested that as well?” The feline laughed, pushing himself away from the wall, trying to think, trying to figure out what was the best course of action. And there wasn’t any. Sayvahn wasn’t meant to fight offensively— and yet now he was expected to. That, or risk being injured— or captured— in an effort to get Ratna away. Neither were descent options. Though, maybe he didn’t have to, as, of course, his fox in shining armor came to the blonde’s rescue. “Hello, dearie. What took you so long?” The barber called, happy to find that the redhead had at last caught up. “I was wondering when you would join the party. Our host is not being the most descent of fellows, you know.” Sayvahn grunted, reaching into his pocket for more supplies.

“Get her out of here, back to base. I’ll handle him,” he called to Sayvahn, referring to Ratna. Sayvahn was free to leave now, even though Lasair would have liked to have him around a bit longer. He would just have to make due without the feline. It wasn’t worth putting him in danger like this.
To the mechanical monstrosity, Lasair chuckled and reached down, picked up a handful of rocks to throw at this Elm person, hoping to gain his attention. “Hey, pal. I got a question for you. Is that thing waterproof?” He was referring to all the mechanics that seemed to make up this man’s body. They were on a dock after all, and if he were to slip the wrong way, they might be in some luck for ending this battle quick.
"of course i have , I do have children" Elm replied before he had time to attempt to charge , his focus was taken away by the other Ander who came who was acting like a hero "where do you think I have been "the creature answered as it began to circle lasair " but i have a question for you , Hero , I see it in your eyes , you want the the pain of your kind to stop , but you dont relize your apart of the problem in our world , maybe you see me as an `Evil monster right now when you are seeing the future of human kind " the monster coughed as its leather heart skipped a few beats "you are cancer to this world when you came and your now fighting to stay alive , the army is going for you all even after the trues, and you have been fighting back ,tell me , do you feel the blood on your hands , are you guilty of the same , if so I have no regreats of my actions, for you are all monsters as I proven before"
Eryn was getting sick of Elms talking as she started to think now to end him before he tries to do anything. she had only one option, as she casted Gate I to get to her bag and pulled out her rope and hook as she planned.
Lasair ordered him to run? That was probably the better call, but leaving him alone did not settle well with the feline either. “I don’t want to leave you.” Sayvahn stated, backing away ever so slightly. But what else was there for him to do? His only spell was pyromancy, and even that, was running out of uses. Biting his lip, Sayvahn looked to the girl— and— she was taking out something? Did she have a plan?

Lasair almost smiled as Sayvahn’s words, of the fact he wanted to stay. Will maybe he could then. The redhead wasn’t going to repeat the order again.
But the mechanical monster of a man, he was still an issue. Thinking through his options on spells, he decided on one that might do the trick. Telekinesis. It couldn’t life the whole man by any means, but it could certainly lift his arm. Hopefully that was all Lasair would need.
Readying the spell, he focused it around the left arm of Elm, taking control of it long for the briefest of moments. And in that split second, he pushed the arm backwards with all his might. If it didn’t make him topple into the water, it should at least knock him off balance. They could do more once he wasn’t on his feet, glaring daggers at the lot of them.
Elm noticed his arm shock as the magic took it over and as it was forced backward , he reached by grabbing it quickly and forcing it back as he decided enough was enough as he jumped at both of the anders "NOW DIE YOU VERMIN!" Suddenly a hook and rope came from above and guided by Telekinesis II , it wrapped around the monster's Neck and body before catching on to itself. Elm was stopped mid jump and ended with him hitting the ground as he pulled and struggled , realizing who stopped him " EYRN!! YOUR RAT, I SHOULD HAVE KILLED YOU, YOU UNLODAN URCHENT RAT, YOU THINK KILLING ME WILL END THIS, MY FLESH WILL CONTINUE MY WORK, HUMAN EVOLUTION WILL HAPPEN AND HUMAN WILL BE THE ONLY RACE OF OUR WORLD! YOU HEAR ME YOU CANIBLEISHTIC RAT! YESH I KNOW YOU EAT PEOPLE! LIKE HOW YOUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS DO, YOU ARE AN ANIMALS, ALL OF YOU ANDERS ARE!"
Eryn had tied the rope to chimney as she jumped down to the ground hearing Elm's words as she came around the front of him ,out of reach " Elm...your not even human anymore ...or a living thing... you are a monster.... a mechanical monster ... you gave up what made you human.... I know what I am .... and who I am ....and what I choose to be....." she noticed his steamwork heart was starting to fail as the monsters body was falling apart as he struggled. she turned to the others "we should go.... he does not have long left.....for everything he was ..... its best we leave him for what he is now .... something that will not be remembered by anyone ... just another mad man.....its not worth carrying this on " she said as she looked down her goggles covered her eyes , after seeing Elm in this state , she know that any more things she did would just be out of revenge , something she understood was wrong ..... she was not a killer. she already stopped him.
Elm now on his knees tried to reach Eryn as he felt himself started to slow down as his body started to leak steam and water as his body started to creek and split from his struggles as he wanted to finish what he started.

It mattered little what the girl was doing, or what the feline was doing right then. Emerald orbs caught the frozen body of Lasair as he worked, telekeniss, ripping ever so slowy the mechanical’s limb backwards. Yet, the man had two arms, not just one. “NOW DIE YOU VERMIN!" The spell did little, the arm, broken free, and Sayvahn’s body, it raced. Funny how the body is able to side step so quickly—how a body can be barrier between one form and the next. The fox, at his back, and the robot, at his front, a knife, separating himself from the beast. But, blades and steel would matter little as a hook snaked its way around the man’s neck— though it did not stop the madness slipping from the older man’s tongue.
Sayvahn shifted, ever so slightly, eyes, lingering on the ground as the blonde straightened, moving out of the way of Lasair, embarrassment, caked on his cheeks. Now was not the time to think of self action, yet it was hard to displace the fact that he had moved, and, was moving once again, but this time, away from his guild leader. After all, the child was left to talk to the robot alone— something best not left undone.
The word cannibalism plucked at Sayvahn’s memory, the taste of iron, forming at his tongue. It was strange, yes, but the thought, it wasn’t unfamiliar, it wasn’t distant— but the pain that formed did little to help him with his thoughts— with understanding, processing, what was occurring. The feline’s mind was racing, his legs, unsteady, as he sought shelter against the wall. What was happening to him? But the girl’s words— they broke through. Something about moving on? He could do that. He needed to do that. After all, Ratna was still in the alleyway. “I’ll leave if you leave.” Sayvahn coughed to Lasair, legs, a bit unsteady as he walked to where he had hidden Ratna, body, aching ever so slightly when at last he picked her up. There, he would wait, or at least, watch for Lasair’s decision.

Readying another spell, Lasair was about to cast it when Sayvahn stepped in front of him, shielding him from a madman who was suddenly tied to a chimney, strangling himself in the process. He had no idea the other man was willing to do that for him, and yet, was he surprised? Yes, he was, but he wasn’t sure what to make of it.
Lasair stepped forward, resting a hand on Sayvahn’s shoulder as he nodded. “Thank you,” he said honestly, the gratefulness there in his eyes. But before he could leave, there was more to do. He followed Sayvahn to where Ratna lay, taking the fragile girl from him and holding her in his own arms. Then he turned to face China, the young girl who had helped them. “Thank you for all the help. I need to go get her some treatment as soon as possible.” He turned to leave then, ready to head back to MI and began mixing this cure.
Eryn nodded as her eyes were fixed on the woman in question "when she wakes up ....question her ..... if she is one of Elm's children , I would recommend you get rid of her quietly. nothing good would come of her... or anyone of Elm's blood " she spoke before she bowed to them and began her travel back home to the theater.
the create had broken free of the rope but it was too late as he held himself on his knees , he could feel his immortal body fail him as the steam powered heart slowed down to a deep slow beat as he began to talk to himself." so ....... this is it ........I die ....... alone and beaten with my flame about to be put out by the wind ....... at least my legacy ..... will be carried on ......... human where born on this world ....... and in the end..... we all die .....on this world ....... and what gives ur this right .... is our own .......will....... " Elm allowed himself to lay down as he looked up to the cloudy sky as his smile came across his face one last time "......... the rat ...... chose not to kill me ..... after all I have done ...... all that's left..... is the mark I will leave..... for the future ....of humanity...." it was then the leather heart stopped as the monster relaxed and became motionless as he died with the smile on his face , one that would never be forgotten from the ones who had seen it.

A light touch coasted across his shoulder and Sayvahn turned, looking into those orbs of sapphire glint. The older man smiled softly before nodding, his lips, turned into a confused, whimsy grin before it lowered back to the contemplative mask the feline wore. After all, this was business still— but that didn’t meant that pleasure couldn’t linger there either. Although Ratna slipped through his fingers to Lasair’s as the younger man took her, an action the barber appreciated, the girl’s words made him scowl. “Her heritage matters little to us. And you—“ Turning to Elm, he didn’t bother listening to the man’s monologue as he spoke up again. “No one cares.” The smile was forgettable to Sayvahn as far as he was concerned— smiles that were unforgettable? The ones of his sister’s attackers before they violated and killed her. That was an unforgettable blasted smile. If anything, Sayvahn was furious now. “Excuse me, dearie. I need to take care of this.” Sayvahn spat, digging into his pouch for some gasoline, of which he poured onto the dead man. Grabbing a match, Sayvahn flicked it at the man, watching the fire sputter to start as it crested across him. “Go to hell.” Sayvahn spat, huffing slightly yet there was a chant, again, in his mind that rang. God drat. What was wrong with him? “Let’s get out of here, before EIRAL shows up.” The feline stated, offering to help carry Ratna as he approached the younger man.

Lasair watched as Sayvahn ignited the man’s corpse, agreeing with the action despite the fact he would normally disagree. Given all the trouble that the other had caused, making sure he was actually dead was worth the match needed to light him up. At the prospect of leaving, he nodded. “Yes, let’s.” His mind was already starting to shift into a more scientific mode as he worked through how exactly he was going to derive a cure from the toxin used on her. And as he thought, he started walking, carrying Ratna without needing assistance from his guild member. They just needed to rush now, before it was too late.
the machine husk of the man when up in flames as the oil and gasoline as the machine creaked from the heat of the fire. Eryn only watched a little from a roof , it made questions came up in her mind. this other group that Mama Edelweiss was working with and the 2 she met. there also questions of the lady they rescued as well as what they have learned. she needed to find out more before she could act , why would they have a child of a man who wanted to kill anders when they where Anders themselves. But for now, this was a victory for her.
the once pro-human was no more and Eryn felt unsure . this victory was one that she felt something was not right.... as the sun started to come up. a new day was beginning for everyone in Lodan, one free of Elm.
