Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Caitlin drummed her fingers on the desk and bit her bottom lip. "Rope?" she thought, looking over her shoulder at where there was some rope. "What for?" She tapped her feet on the floor, looked at him in her bed, then dropped her head on her arms on her desk in defeat. "Levi no. I am not coming back to bed, I already told you, the last time I threw myself at you was the last time..." She thought about 4 days ago, in a dark train tunnel, kissing him. It had felt so natural, come so easily. She had wanted him and that was enough. it had been simple in the dark, believing that what happened in the tunnel stayed in the tunnel. But of course it didnt, it followed her here, on her own ship, in her own bed. It was ten times more tempting with the door shut and the limitless time stretching ahead of them. Not like being on the river bank, or in a tunnel when they might be found at any moment. Here there were no such immediate threats... well, except for maybe Ikuze walking in like she did.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Levi pouts for a soft moment in the silence of the room, nothing but the sound of the propellers keeping the boat up and the foot steps of others on the ship. He slides himself off the bed, his feet hitting the ground as he creeps over to Caitlin and when he reaches her, he slips his arms around her neck, placing a soft and gentle kiss on her neck. "Don't worry, Doll, I was just kidding." He whispers in her ear before delivering a lick up her ear before standing up straight. "And the other time you told me that you were finished with me, you put me on an airship before attacking my face with yours at the beach." He grins and walks back to the bed, sitting upon how he did at first, with one leg hanging over and the other propped up on the sheets. "You're going to kill yourself with all this stress."

Her eyes drifted closed as he wrapped his arms around her and teased her with kisses along her neck and behind her ear. Every nerve in her body was tuned in to anything Levi was doing, including the way he swaggered back to her bed like he owned it.
"I can see now that I've developed quite a bad habit..." She responded. "Do as I say, not as I do... telling you one thing and doing another..." She sighed and cupped her face in her hands with her elbows propped up on the desk. She watched him through hooded lashes, lethargic in her appreciation of the sight of him. She didn't need a doll to remind her of him when he left, the memory was already burned into her brain, exactly the way he was right now. "The answer is still no, Levi. No matter how much I may wish otherwise; only one man has the right to teach me the intimate secrets you keep... offering to, and that man is the future baron of Cockfoster. So unless you think you're him.... you're not the right man." It was difficult to say, because saying something out loud made it feel so much more final.
Irrationally she hoped he would stride over to her and convince her that he was that man, that he would become that man, but she knew better than to believe her delusional wishes. Such a man would be looking at marriage in exchange for the title, and it would be a cold day in hell before Caitlin could picture Levi marrying anyone. Not that she believed it, but she allowed herself a few seconds gaze at him, dressing him up in her mind like a fiendish gentleman, the sort that got ladies waving their fans in their faces out of sheer lust for him. He would be a dangerous, devilish lord and she smiled at the thought...
not that she was hoping.

Levi's mind wandered to deep dark places before bubbling up to the surface in a thought of wedlock, something that Levi had a distaste for. It's the commitment really. He doesn't believe in such things, but every once in awhile he sees a couple that look as if they should die together and exist with each other in the afterlife. The thought of him dressed up makes him smile, finding it quite funny that him, Levi Kueper could be in a position of power. He hangs one hand over his knee as he looks over at Caitlin. "Well that's quite an easy thing to do. Just think I'll be the baroness' husband. It'd be quite a thought, but I'll only do it if you call me prince." He says with a wink. Baron doesn't just seem right for Levi, no. He flicks his fingers up in thought. "On the other hand, no one ever said you had to kiss and tell."

Caitlin assessed him, his words, the tone of his voice, the mockery expression on his face - as though maybe he'd read her thoughts and seen himself dressed up as a baron and found it funny instead of sexy like she had. Caitlin might have blushed except for his last remark. She stared at him flatly for a moment, coming to a decision. Then she reached into the drawer of her desk and extracted a fat round glass bottle of sorts. Standing up and not saying a word she carried the thing to bed with her. She stopped right in Front of Levi, pursed her lips together as she popped the cork, and propped on foot on the bed against the side of levi's body. She gazed at him with dark intentions before tipping her head back and taking a long swig of the burgundy. when she was done she let the bottle fall limp at her side and gave a refreshing smack of her lips with her eyes shut. Cait handed the bottle to levi, and with both hands free she hiked her skirt and straddled him on her bed.
"You are absolutely right. I don't have to tell anyone who, when or where I kiss...." she sunk her hands into his hair and tugged his head back, baring his throat to her. She licked his neck, right over the adams apple in his throat and she nipped at his jaw. "But, kissing is the only pleasure I can take from you."

Levi watches her with narrow eyes, curious of her actions as she dug something from the drawer and walking over to him. Turns out it was a bottle, and who would've guessed anything besides alcohol, the only disappointing thing is that it's not the pirate's choice of rum! He grins softly as she downs some of the liquid, taking the bottle from her hands as she comes down on top of him. He places the drink on the wooden floor with soft thud before his hair has hands threw it, and his head is drawn back. It seems last time will last forever. He thinks to himself as she nips his jawline. He brings his hands around, placing them on her hips as his leg stretches out. "That's what you keep telling yourself and you're doing a good job at it. I suggest you keep on doing it, because the day you forget..." He says, as he brings his vision down to match Caitlins. He brings himself into her at an angle, connecting their lips in a touch of love. Levi holds it for only mere seconds before giving himself room to finish "I'll devour you."

The day she forgot......... sounded like a wonderful, dangerous, untouchable prophecy. The burgundy in her gull warmed her from the inside out and Caitlin shifted in his lap as he angled his mouth to cover hers. She hugged her arms close to her body as her hands cupped around his neck and her lips pressed hard against his. She raked her teeth across his bottom lip before he pulled away and made a declarative promise to her.
"Should I forget," she told him breathlessly as she squirmed even closer, "I could hope for nothing less from you," she admitted. Caitlin twisted around, using her weight to tumble them into the bed so that she had the comfortable position of laying flat on her back. She tugged Levi to follow and deepened the kiss. As long as she had the conscious awareness that kisses were all she could steal from him, then she wanted to steal the very best ones he had to give.

Levi smiles when she speaks, knowing truthfully she'll never forget. As she pulls him down towards, he stops for a moment, the way he was sitting made it so he couldn't keep the pose she wanted him in for a long time, so he slides off the bed to re-approach by leaning his knee on the sheets first, putting his hips between her thighs as he hovers barely above her, his forearms keeping him up as they lay next to Caitlin's side. "You wouldn't even know what you got yourself into." He says between deep embraces, their lips connecting in the moment of desire. Her mind is telling her no, but my body is telling her yes. He cracks a grin as he pulls on her lip with his, departing to kiss down her jaw line, and nibbling on her neck. "For a pirate captain, you maintain a marvelous smell. It's hot, spicy almost. I can't get enough of it." He says, as he brushes his cheek with hers before kissing the lobe of her ear.

She gasped and breathed little murmurs of shock and awe when she felt the urge to. She arched her back up to align her body to his, then fell back into the pillows and tilted her head to deepen their kisess even more. He was right, once again. She had no idea what she was getting herself into, but she'd never felt so alive, so new, so fragile and special at the same time... and she was afraid to lose that feeling if she went too far, but man did she want to toe the line as closely as she could, blurring the edges wherever she could get away with it.

Levi delivers a swift peck onto her chin before looking into her eyes, the hues of each-others complimenting each others in an odd form of imitation. "You know, for as much as you say that daddy wouldn't like me, and I'm not allowed to take you before your own husband, you sure do like running around with your pirate boy." He says with an accusing tone, before delving into another deep kiss. "You kiss like you're in love." He says when he stops for a breath of air. He nuzzles her neck with his nose, before licking the bare skin in preparation as he bites it gently with his teeth and pulls just a tad.

"maybe..." Cait said so quietly it was barely a breathy sound. If Levi wasn't nuzzling her neck with his ear right at her lips he wouldn't have been able to hear her at all. In her head Caitlin was falling, falling, falling deeper and deeper into a dark void... but it wasn't cold like she might expect. It was warm, and comfortable, and it embraced her eagerly. It scared her in its eagerness but she wanted to be enveloped all the same. Caitlin had her hands around his sides now, her fingernails tracing gentle circles on his back as she cradled him gingerly to her body with her arms and legs. She had never been this close to a man who wasn't either trying to kill her, or her kill him. She had never felt this flushed with molten lava on the inside, and cool damp sweat on the outside. She was love drunk and she reached up to lace her fingers through the hair at the nape of his neck, cupping him to her as he teased her senses with his teeth. "If only you could..." she murmurred. It wasn't that she feared falling in love with him. She feared him not falling back.

Levi continues his attack with is lips against Caitlin's skin, smiling as she wraps herself around him. At any point in time.... Only if I could? Kiss like a love-sick puppy? He places a kiss on her collarbone before pulling back to look at her with puzzling eyes. "What do you mean?" He asks in a whisper, just watching Caitlin as she draws circles on his back with her fingers.

Oops. Busted thinking things outloud that maybe she shouldn't be. Caitlin shrugged one dainty shoulder up, trying to brush off his question without having to answer in words. She pulled one of her hands back to herself so she could brush some hair out of her eyes. They were warm. Between their body heat and the bed, she felt a light glisten of sweat on her skin. She wondered if he could taste the salt from it when he kissed her collarbone. He looked a little glistening himself, and it was definitely one of the strangest, most magnetic things she'd ever noticed about him. Funny....
"I think we've hit our Peak, Levi Küper," she half-whispered. It wasn't a question, it wasn't a demand, just a random statement... something to say to fill the silence instead of answering his question. She couldn't answer his question. Not without evaluating her own heart, and she'd been evading that for months, after every moment she spent with him. It was better not to think about because she could feel the edge beneath her toes, and knew if she looked down and really examined where she stood with him, she would fall and be crushed somewhere at the bottom of the trench.

Levi smiles, and pushes himself up to give the two some more breathing room. He watches as she brushes hair out her face and takes a glimpse of her expression as she makes a comment. He speaks in a low, threatening tone..."Then it's time I push you over." He narrows his eyes as he inspects her face for a change in her features as his teeth are in full view, his lips pulled back in a hungering grin. "Don't worry dove, I'll make sure to catch you at the bottom." He whispers to her.

Her body tensed and her eyes locked on his... the words he spoke were too perfect, and suddenly a spike of warning flashed across her mind. Get out or give up, thats what it said, and her body screamed for the latter.
"Levi, Go. Please go." she asked him faintly. She couldn't. She couldn't do one more kiss, not now that he'd said the very thing she needed to hear. It would be enough to get swept up in, but not enough to save her the tears later when it was over. God she wanted to believe him. To believe he'd be there to catch her, but everything about him, his nature, it only promised heartache and she didn't want that... though by some miracle every minute spent with him was a step closer to thinking it would be worth the pain.
"Go. Get out. I'll - we'll talk later I just need to be alone right now." She strained to say through a hoarse whisper. She needed to think, without him there to turn her common sense to smoke.
