Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
So close. So close to the portal but a slam proved otherwise. Pressed to the wall, chest racing up and down, Sayvahn’s head ached. Ten seconds. Ten seconds and it would close. Summon, summon a new one. But, Edelweiss was speaking. Words, ebbing. Speaking nonsense, her sensical nonsense— because she had to always be right, always had to be sensible. “Shut up!” Sayvahn screamed, summoning a gating portal behind him. Pressed against the wall, he would fall through- fall through, fall through, fall through!

"...As you wish then." No sense in trying to reason with a crazed man, so she'd refrain from talking to him once he's done having his little fit. At least she tried. So as previously planned, she did float him back down and towards her from the wall, cuff his hands behind his back on a chair, and retook her seat in front of him - for just long enough to find the phone number to the Main Theater's reception amid the papers on the coffee table before she stood up again and went to call them from her office. Had to request someone to take Sayvahn to the infirmary.
Who knows, maybe a dose of lorazepan and passing a (few) day(s) strapped to a bed would calm him down enough that they could hold a proper conversation. And if not, it at least should keep him from killing himself.

Away from the portal. Away from the end. Sayvahn thrashed at that, grinding his teeth, trying to fight back. He screamed, he clawed. Hands were cuffed, but he still thrashed. His purplish green aura, nearly black, emanated from his body, swirling. As Edelweiss tried to call, Sayvahn continued to thrash, trying to break the cuffs. He casted Pyromancy, tried to break his wrists, even opened another portal to get free, anything to get him out, to get him away, to get him dead.

Alright, now this was ridiculous. The redhead heard the noise from the living room since she was still on the phone at her office, and she had to keep Sayvahn from destroying her apartment or disturbing her neighbors in his suicidal fit. At the very least since Amon had already 'ander-proofed' most things around her home she didn't need to make a trip downstairs and request the reception to call her work in her place to send the message; that would have taken even longer.
Once the call was done, she rubbed her temples with her fingertips trying to think of a solution that would not come, and walked back to where he was. She was sorry about Sayvahn, but if he doesn't stop throwing a tantrum on his own by the time he's within her reach, she's going to knock the lights out of him and keep him unconscious until he's safely tucked in the infirmary.

Knocking him out was going to be the only option. Already his wrists were chaffed, maybe even bleeding from his attempt to free himself. Sayvahn succeeded in breaking his thumb, but it wasn’t enough. The pain, although dulled, was not enough. He continued to thrash on the floor, calling out, screeching for Edelweiss to let him go. There was not going to be a simple end to this. Either he was going to die, or she was going to have to knock him out. There was no third option.

Well then, so be it... nobody could say she didn't try to do it the gentler way first. Letting out a sigh, the redhead moved to stand on the back of Sayvahn's seat, and hit the back of is neck with the side of her hand. Then she sighed again and sat down while waiting for some help to come for carrying him.
Next time Sayvahn wakes up, he'll find himself lying down on a bed in CAEsAL's infirmary, with all limbs tied down to it. And the redhead hoped, prayed that he'd be over having his suicidal fit at least enough to reason with by then.
