Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Seven... Eight.... Yes, that made it the 8th time she could recall him apologizing to her, and there might be even more minor ones she didn't remember at the moment. But before that she had to wonder if he even knew what he was saying sorry for; now was the first time he'd known everything for sure before speaking. And frankly, that made her heart feel tight as well.
"Please stop apologising..." Hadn't that been enough already? There was a point in which words lost their sense after being repeated too much. She didn't want that, nor need another 'sorry'. But she'd accept the tight, shaky hug in its place. "Just don't be gone again. That's enough."
And there he was crying too, she could feel the slow dripping subtly wetting her shirt. That's why she didn't want him to know. There was nothing other than pain brought from it. Ignorance was a bless - that they no longer had. "I'm sorry." She repeated in her mind as well.

"...Okay..." Amon managed to say after a bit. "...Promise is a promise, right?" he said with a small hint of a sad smile.
He held the hug for a while, doing his best to calm down while hoping Edel was doing the same. He stayed silent, waiting until he was sure he could speak clearly.

"I probably will, after getting some rest..." It was the purest truth here. Even while not counting the intense distress and overall muddle of sad feelings, the exhaustion topping it all was very real. But her mind was still far too tense and active now to relax on her own, so dozzing off again and catching up to some sleep wasn't something she could do without external help right now. Amethyst sure was taking her time to be back with that diazepam dose...
"...And you?"
"Hurt them, or you?" The girl asked while Sayvahn took her hand and she guided him back inside like a grandma taking a little boy for teatime. Well the teabags still needed some time to leak in the hot water and be ready, so scones could still come first meanwhile they waited for the tea. She'd have to find someone else to keep Sayvahn company so that she could rush to deliver Edel's request, but whom... Hm, there were some of the other younglings wandering by that room in particular too. She didn't know if Sayvahn was close friends with any of them, but it was worth a try.
"Alma, good morning." She waved to a teen girl of similar height and paler hair. "Are you busy?" "Morning. And hmm no, not reall-- why is he crying?" "Edel put him on timeout because he punched Mr. Amon in the face." "............Punched him?" Both of Almandine's eyebrows shot up on her face. "He also called him 'tin can' and 'metal man'." "Snrk!" There was a rather ungraceful snorting noise and suddenly Sayvahn would find himself hugged as Almandine wrapped an arm around his shoulder from behind and started energically ruffling his hair with her free hand. "Man, you're brave, I've been wanting to do that for weeks! I officialy (platonicaly) love you! ...Hey Pearl! PEARL! Come here!" "Hm?" "He punched Amon. In the face!" Pointing at Sayvahn with the ruffling hand. Right before restarting ruffling. "We should throw a party!" "...I'll get the confetti and fancy grape juice." Thumbs up.

"...Same..." Amon replied, wiping his eye. "I know this is rich, coming from me, but...I'm glad you told me instead of keeping me in the dark like that. We'll still have our secrets, but I'll never keep you in the dark like that again."
So this is what he meant by Edel being "fragile;" as strong as she was, Amon couldn't help but think that she would fall apart the moment he let go.
"Everything is going to be okay..." he said softly, trying to help calm the both of them down.

Still trying to hide his face, Sayvahn just sobbed a “Meeeee,” as Ametyhst guided him to the room. Gods, he must have looked like such a mess. He could already feel his face wrinkling as he furrowed his brow and sobbed. Thank the gods he didn’t have a performance that night, but still. He felt heavy, weighted down with emotions that he couldn’t place. When was the last time he had sobbed like this? With Corey? And Lasair? It was so disgusting, to a point that when Amethyst plopped him into the room, he grabbed the nearest pillow and tried to bury himself in it. Come on Sayvahn, you’re stronger than this, you’re stronger— and then Almandine. Almandine was hugging him— saying that she loved him, and suddenly there was talk of a party and Sayvahn didn’t know whether to laugh or cry and he ended up doing both as he returned Almandine’s hug, his old bones weary. “Almandine— Edelweiss is going to hate meeeeeee,” Sayvahn sobbed, leaning into her. “I just wanted her to be happy,” he sniffed, easing under her gentle pats. Lord. It seemed like he had pleased the children— but it was their parents that Sayvahn was worried about. ….They were going to need a lot more than grape juice, but he doubted if Peral had a secret stash of moonshine anywhere near there.

Edelweiss couldn't find anything else to say right then, so she just nodded slightly instead and stayed where she was, focusing on calming down again - as much as she could at least.
Thankfully with the other guild children slowly but surely flocking to Sayvahn like an odd fanclub of tiny people, Amethyst was finally free to return to were those two were. Although the sight of them hugging and looking all teary made her think she'd still arrived a tad too early. Well, at least they weren't noisily bawling.
"Um, do you... need a dose too? To calm down." She asked Amon, just to be sure. This was very, very awkward to witness.
"Naaaah, Edel hates it when people she likes hurt each other, but she doesn't hate anybody unless they're rapists and torturers or child traffickers or something worse... or framers like Mr. Blue SissyPants." A.K.A 'Alistair Malak', who had finally been thrown out of his figurative throne. "Besides, if she hated you and you punched him she'd have probably thrown you out the window instead." Most of the resting rooms were on the first floor, so even if he might have gotten bruised some he still wouldn't die from the fall. Besides, he was a Feline. Cats always fall standing, right?
Amon glanced over when Amethyst spoke, then shook his head a little.
"I'm good, thanks..." he replied, his voice a little raspy, a small smile that was between apologetic and appreciative.
"Hey Edel, Amethyst is back...do you still need the sedative?" he asked, a little hopeful that she would be okay enough to refuse.

"Diazepam is functional as a sedative, but you know those things like shaky hands, or lack of air from when people are really anxious? It's works for that too." Amethyst shrugged and went to take a seat across from them so that she could open the aid box and measure a small dosage to drink. "Only when really needed though. Which... even without the little squirmish here, considering the last night's mortar fire, is well called for." She's mostly just thinking aloud now. But if they want to converse further with her while she's counting drops of solution in a very-very tiny cup, she'll still resply to whatever they ask.
"I'm surprised you actually knew what this was though." Edelweiss turned to Amon with a slightly raised eyebrow and a hint of what looked like an impressed smile. "Had you heard of it before somewhere else?" That thing was difficult to make through laboratory/human means it was rare for her guild to acquire a batch that didn't have a little help from a Toxins user in its manufacturing, and other than perhaps MI she had never heard of another place that had it in stock. But then again, she vaguely remembered Amon mentioning his mom could heal people. If Rebecca has Health, did she have Toxins too? Just a loose guess for now though...

"It was a just a guess to be honest..." Amon replied with a sheepish smile. "After my first attack, my mom offered to go to a friend to get something similar to help drive off the nightmares and let me sleep; actually asked me again when I visited them a couple of weeks ago. Refused both times," he said with a shrug.
"I guess I was being stubborn and would rather fight off the wolves on my own," he stated with a shrug and a smile. "Not exactly the best choice..."

Sayvahn knew Almandine was trying to comfort him with the “or something worse” but he merely let out a groan, leaning against her, wondering if he should run right then. So, being thrown out the window. That is what he was going to have to expect, hmm? Dear Lord, what had he gotten himself into. “I don’t think I’m one of the people she cares for, dearie. More like tolerates,” the feline sniffed, rubbing at his eye.

"You have attacks of what kind?" Amethyst turned her head to look more intently at Amon while Edelweiss was busy drinking her medicine, as if she wasn't sure what sort of medical condition that might refer to but it sounded serious nonetheless. "No, he was attacked." The redhead handed back the empty cup. Well, Amon had indeed spoken while fully aware the younger girl was there, so no need to attempt to deny it as it'd fail anyway. "......By wolves?" "Metaphor, Ame." "Ah. ...Do you still need me for anything else? Chaperoning dates is still kind of uncomfortable and mind-numbing for me."
"Eh, 'tolerate' is what she does to a couple nobles and EIRAL officers who try to walk down the District like they own it because they're rich (it's nice the numbers of them doing that dropped back again lately). And it's kinda how I felt about you before knowing how much guts you've got~" And she then started mushing his cheeks like an annoying aunt. Squishy squishy, version 2.0. But no, Almandine wasn't really just speaking to comfort Sayvahn - she was actually terrible at those comforting things and it felt awkward, so more often than not she didn't even try. The "or something worse" part was merely a conversational trick to shorten her list and not name the next 50 items her mind could fetch about horrible things some people do that would either bore or gross him out to death.
The queen of salt is praising you, Sayvahn. Accept that fact.
"What did she even do to make you think she hates you though? Ame said she just put you on timeout, doesn't even sound like she fired you." Meanwhile that, there comes Pearl with the juice and party snacks and other slightly over a half dozen younglings following in her trail. Yeah, news travel fast. They'd probably need more scones.
"Long story short: got attacked once, lost my arm and eye, very traumatizing," Amon quickly explained. "Got attacked a second time, reminded me of the first attack, was able to get away with only some internal bleeding at the worst."
"Can't do anything about the awkwardness, but I don't need anything else at the moment..." Amon replied with an apologetic grin.
"...Feeling better?" he asked Edel, readjusting himself so that he held her in a one armed hug.

Again, if Almandine was supposed to be comforting him, the elder feline couldn’t tell. Instead, he let out a muffled groan. Well, the gem children had never really liked him, but well, he wanted to be a little liked. I mean, didn’t everyone want to? Well, he was better off ignoring people who he didn’t care for— but Edelweiss wasn’t one of those people. Neither were the gem children, but he knew when to give up on trying to attain the younger one’s attention. Almandine was one of the ones he had given up, but well, apparently he had gained some sort of footing? Lord, he didn’t know. And then there were more children and he sniffled, politely inquiring if he could have some of the juice— his throat was beginning to become hoarse between all of his previous yelling and sobbing. “Well, I challenged both her and Amon— punched him, and repeatedly called him a bast—,” pausing, Sayvahn looked once more at the younger children and coughed. “I um, called him numerous names. Negative, um, names,” Sayvahn stated, rubbing his eyes once more.

It was a bit weak, but Edelweiss chuckled a bit at that repeated 'feeling better' question. "Give it sometime for it to start making effect, but yes." Then she turned her head back to look at Amethyst, and since Amon didn't seem to be needing anything else and neither did she... "You can go now and keep doing whatever you were doing before, Ame. Sorry for taking your time.
"It's ok. Should I lock the door when I leave?" To avoid other people bumping into them like Sayvahn did and such...
"Did you murder him? No? Thought so - you'll be fine."
"And you do realize you are currently talking to a bunch of little bastards and sons of a dollymop for the most part, right? It's not an insult if it's true. As in, literally true." Pearl shrugged while removing the juice bottle's cork. It made a funny tiny 'pop' noise and the smaller kids giggled. If at the comment or the noise it was hard to know - perhaps both.

Amon shrugged. "Up to you," he replied, gently rubbing Edel's back.
"In the interim," he continued once Amethyst left. "Can we move to a more comfortable seat? If there's anything else you would like to talk about...?" he asked, motioning to the other couches.
