Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
“Ohhhhhh. I want to go where there is pink grass.” Polinya hummed, and when Jade commented on her drawing, Polinya beamed. “Yes! I was there. It’s a walk- walk—“ “Walker, Poli—“ “Walker!” Poli beamed, holding her drawing up high. Wern, on the other hand, was not as energetic but he still tried to match her energy with a laugh. “Y-you did well.” At the offer of putting it up on the board, Polinya’s mouth opened wide in a large “O” fashion as she gasped. “Yes, yes yes!” Poli squealed, pushing the drawing toward Aunt Fiddles. “P-Poli- d-don’t forget to say ple—“ “Please Aunt Fiddles, Please, please, pleaseeeee!” Though, with Aunt Fiddles looking at Magic Nel’s drawing, Poli wanted to look too and when she did there was so much pink! And red! “It’s so pretty! Can his get put on the wall, too? It’s soooo pretty.” When more paper was put between them, Poli gasped again. Taking her seat, she began to draw more stuff, though she added a red lake to hers as well. “Yours is really pretty. I want my drawing to be pretty,” she exclaimed as she drew a squiggly orange tree. But, she also had to be different! So, she drew a train. And a floating ship, carrying a giant and fat Chakaia.

"I will." Edelweiss chuckled, nodding and taking the drawing from Polinya's little hands as she held it up. When the matter was Spinel's picture, however... "His drawing really is pretty, but it's not about today's activity so it can't go in the activities mural. Maybe another day it'll be more related and then it can go there." "It's related, I promise! I just gotta finish this one first." The boy rushed to mention, color pencils already sliding over the second sheet of paper in speedy, hapazard lines. "Alright then, once you've finished you can call me and I'll come check it again." Then the redhead turned to take Polinya's crayon art and pin it on the mural along the other drawings that were already there. Since she was already done with the classroom task, the little girl could keep drawing anything she wants.
Meanwhile that, Spinel's new piece was taking shape. This one lacked the warm red tones of the first, filling the paper with greys and browns. Mist envelopping a ground of bare earth, constructions erected in moldy old wood, water puddles - all the dampness of the city slums.
Then a third sheet of paper was taken, and a fourth. The third was filled with flames, fire engulfing the landscape and turning it into a sea of golden, yellows and oranges serving as an in-between of the other two frames - while Polinya had picked the battle of Castamere as her personal rendition, the boy had picked the Hovel Slaughter by the EIRAL forces under Alistair.
Then for the fourth and last frame, there was no scenario. Just a large group of children standing holding hands (all of those present in class, and he made sure to place Polinya with her headscarf on somewhere in the middle), and two rows of large letters serving as captions on top:
Squealing, Polinya clapped as her drawing was pinned on the wall. Though, she took a break from her Chakaia drawing to look at Spinel’s, and watch him draw. He was drawing a bunch. He drew people, and above it words. Poli couldn’t really read the words, so she leaned into him to read the words. She still couldn’t read the words. But, there was a lot of color, and not so much color. “What you make?” Polinya asked, leaning her head to the side.

"Here is the Hovel." The boy pointed at the first picture, stacking them all in order and explaining it all when Edelweiss returned to check on his 'artistic production'.
"And here's when EIRAL burned everything. And then whoever was nearby and lived ended up here, where it's all red but doesn't hurt. And here is everyone, I added Poli too."

“I’m in it?” Polinya squealed, clapping her hands before she pointed at herself in the middle, headscarf and all. “Werni, look, look, look! I’m in it,” Poli giggled, tugging on Wern who nodded sheepishly.
“V-very good,” he stuttered, though he wasn’t sure how to feel about the other portions of the pages— the fires, the hovel, the slaughter. It seemed a bit grim, but well, this is what the children of Lodan grew up with. He grew up with different things. And also, Polinya had drew Castamere, so there wasn’t really much to judge but well, he just wondered if there was a way to make the pictures a bit more… less solemn then they were.

"Alright, I stand corrected." Edelweiss chuckled, amused as Spinel showed the pictures and let her take them. "These can go in the mural too now. Good job."
Considering the point of the class activity currently ongoing, the vast majority of the drawings or texts made would be solemn in nature in varied degrees. It would be hard to correlate it to the story otherwise, and Edelweiss couldn't consider it complete if there was no relation to it. Polinya could be the exception that time solely because she clearly could not understand the story at all, so they'd have to start teaching her from a lower/simpler stage.
As for right then, the redhead would just pin Spinel's art along the others and let him and Polinya keep drawing whatever they want for a while, and only attempt to make the little girl think of phylosophy after she can sign her own name on the papers instead of Wern doing it in her stead.
