Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"I'm Amber." The girl replied with a slight head tilt, curiosity filling her eyes although she didn't try to reach back for Polinya. What was the younger girl doing? "And the one under me is Jasper. Nice to meet you!" She added wiggling her legs for a few moments, to which Jasper responded by rising his own hands and clasping said legs still again, painlessly but firmly, until she stopped wiggling and he let his own arms fall back on his sides as they had been before. If Amber wants to remain sat on his shoulders she better not start kicking up or testing his balance and trying to fall. His tolerance to children's physical scrutiny is definitely not nearly as high as Wern's.
"The show is on the room to the left." Jasper stated. "It should be starting soon, so if you intend to get seats at the front before it fills up we better start moving."

When Amber didn’t respond to her held out hand, the younger girl pouted some, taking it slowly back to return to being plopped on Wernpi’s soft head. Though, it probably wasn’t as soft as Jaspers. Wiggly legs were stopped but Polinya wiggled hers, of which, made the larger man squeak as the squirming worms on his shoulder came to life and oh dear. “P-polinya please!” The older man stated, holding her softly as if to make sure she didn’t fall. “T-that would be l-lovely, thank you.” Though, after a moment, Wern paused, thinking some before he spoke again, Polinya tapping his head as if to push him to move. “Y-you wouldn’t be some of the kids that E-Edel takes care of? I-I think we took a picture together. O-on Edelweiss’ birthday. B-but I could be wrong, it was, quite some time ago.”

"Oooh right, right! You were there! " Amber chipped, as if she had just discovered one of the secrets of the universe. "You're very soft and huggable. Should visit us again, yes~" And then nodded as if that fact was the undeniable truth.
"Edel is my boss." Jasper added. "But can't deny she did raise me in a way. (shrug) "
"Edel is everyone's boss-mom-sister-teacher-thingie."
Some relief dotted Wern’s cheeks as he smiled faintly, nodding in response to Amber. Yes, yes. Okay. So he hadn’t remembered wrongly. Though, when the child said he was huggable, the mechanic blushed, lowering his head some. “I-I’m not that soft, I-I don’t’ think.” The older man whimpered, but again, Polinya drummed on his head, kicking her legs as she called out: “YOU ARE THE KING OF HUGGABLE THINGS.” As she too, hugged him, nearly choking the larger man. “O-oh dear!” Fumbling somewhat, the larger man helped soothe the hyper headscarfed girl before he turned back to the two other children before him. “I-I see. That, um, makes some sense?” “Wernieeeeee. The showwww.” “Ah, yes!” Jolting awake, the larger man scurried in place before he turned to the others, a weary expression lingering on worn features. “Um, where is the theater again?”

".........." Jasper paused for a couple seconds and turned to look back at Wern, trying to look for some sort of sign or reassurance that the shorter man had been joking. Finding nothing that indicated such though, the lad sighed and pointed at the very large building they were right in front of. The open entrance halls stretched basically above their heads, the crowds congregating and workers occasionally walking in and out for the spectacles held within.
"Do you need a guide inside?"

The theater was grand. Too grand to have been were they had been heading. At least, Wern thought so. “O-oh. O-of course. T-this is it.” Even though he agreed, Wern still looked upon the building with confusion. Had he come under dressed? The exquisite nature of the theater seemed to contradict the nature of “free.’ Though, last time the mechanic had checked, there wasn’t a dress code. Not that he knew of at least. Now the larger man felt self conscious, slowly picking up Polnya from his shoulders and placing the younger girl next to him. “U-um. That would be great.” Wern muttered, holding onto the girls hand, as if she was the adult, and he the child, uncertainty, ringing on his face. “T-this is free, right?” He squeaked, unwilling to step inside until Jasper did.

"Unless you break something, yes. It's free." Jasper replied simply, walking inside without having to pause, although he did glance behind his own shoulder to make sure Wern and Polinya were still following.
Amber retained her seat on the tall lad's shoulders as well, frantically waving to the other two once she noticed the chubby mechanic wasn't moving. "Come ooonn, quick! We gotta get inside soon to find nice together seats! " And then she proceeded to excitedly keep on humming 'together seats' the whole way in.

B-breaking something? Oh dear. That wouldn’t be right at all. Frowning, Wern struggled to catch up, just as the little girl had asked for him to do, and just as she requested to get off of Jaspers shoulders, Polinya squirmed to get off the mechanics. “Werni, Werni, wanna get down.” The girl cried, and Wern obeyed, placing her on the ground and before he could even tell her to stay close, she chased after the older girl, and sighing, Wern jogged to keep up with Jasper. “B-bundle of energies, aren’t they?” The elder man laughed, though, a weary smile tugged at his lips.

Although Jasper had to agree that, by all effects, both of the younger girls were indeed 'bundles of energy' as Wern described them, "My bundle is more bouncy than a runner though." he mentioned as Amber was just pretty much vibrating in excitement like a cellphone receiving calls from an angry mother all the way while remmaining on the lad's shoulders.
Once they were properly inside the auditorium and Jasper spotted a row of free seats, he placed Amber off his shoulders and onto the chair (and made motion to do the same for polinya next if he's closer to her than Wern is), then sat down in silence Next to the young CAEsAL girl, waiting for the show to start. With the line of seats as it was, the other seat next to Amber was reserved for Polinya, and the seat next to Polinya's should be Wern's. Little girls in the middle and edged by their respective guardians.
"Where do you study? " Amber asked Polinya, still keeping herself quiet enough to not bolt off her seat and run around the place, but apparently unable to stop hopping on the cushioned seat like a bunny high on coffee.

Shrinking some, Wern tried to laugh, but it came out forced. I-Indeed, Polinya was a runner, but, well, she too, hopped. When the group got to their seats, the girl could not stand still, climbing up and down the seat, turning around to look around, to stare up, nearly toppling backwards as she tilted her head all the way back to see the whole room. Wern took his place next to her, urging for her to sit, but she whined, even more so when Amber asked her the question. “I don’t study. I stay home, or with Aunt Candy.” The headscarfed girl stated, standing on the cushion, which caused the people behind them to scowl. Wern apologized and pulled the younger girl down, but she fumbled, trying to escape saying that “she wanted to be tall too.”

"Why?" Amber chipped after the younger girl responded her little question. She didn't go to school? Even though she had a good family and didn't live in the Hovel? Why would anyone willingly chose that is beyond her little brain's understanding. "If you don't study, you're risking growing dumb. And dumb people can't get good jobs. " And now she's suddenly feeling very concerned about her tiny headscarfed neigbor.
Jasper was just sitting there in silence and mentally thanking heavens Amber found someone to be a childlike chatterbox with other than himself.
The dumb comment rattled both Wern and Polinya, but in different ways. Polinya furrowed her brow, a frown growing as she scowled; her pale face turning a bright pink as she held her breath. “I won’t grow dumb! You’ll grow dumb! You are dumb!” Polinya screeched, clutching her fists tightly. Wern yelped, surprised at the loud outburst and quickly held onto Polinya, holding her tightly as she continued to screech, “you’re the dummy!” at Amber. Fumbling, Wern didn’t know whether to be upset, confused, or sympathetic. He knew what Amber had meant, and he couldn’t deny it— though, he had to. For Polinya’s sake. But, why was Polinya acting this way? He hadn’t seen her lash out like this before. “Polinya, shhhhh.” “I don’t wanna.” Behind them, people continued to scowl, urging them to leave the theater. He glanced between them and Polinya, biting his lip. “Come on, Poli, calm down.” “I won’t! If I don’t study, I’ll be dumb, and if I’m dumb, I can’t help you or mama? I thought I was helping you by not studying!” The child wept, bundling into the larger man’s chest. Biting his lip, Wern awkwardly looked between Jasper and Amber, an apology written in his eyes. “I-I’m sorry. T-things are just…. A bit tight. We c-can’t let her go to school,” Wern stated, getting up slightly. “I—I think it’s best if we go home. Right Poli? Do you want to go home?” He asked the girl, and she nodded, sniffling as dug herself deeper into the larger man. “S-sorry for the trouble,” the large man squeaked, quickly rushing out of his seat, carrying the weeping Polinya in his arms.

Amber opened her mouth to say something again, but then Polinya seemingly started having a little fit, and the honey-haired tan girl just froze while looking at her with this bewildered stare and mouth hanging open. What was the little headscarfed girl even doing? Why was she squirming? Were there ants on her seat? Were her panties really itchy? She thought Amber had called her dumb??? Amber didn't call her dumb... did she? She couldn't remember calling her dumb. That's why school should be important, for them to not turn dumb. Amd then Wern was trying to contain Polinya and standing up. What why? What's going on? She could not understand.
"Studying here is free." Jasper intervened to Wern's comment that they were 'a bit tight', pokerfaced and intently looking forward towards the stage as the show was about to start, and refusing to acknowledge the existence of this tiny female person throwing a tantrum merely two seats away from him. "Except for schooling material expenses like notebooks, pencils and erasers."

Pausing, Wern looked to Jasper, confusion on his face at the words. “P-pardon?” Free? F-free was always good, but what exactly was free? Schooling? But, what about Anders? “W-where?” Wern inquired, adjusting the way he held the still half face buried child.

"It's free." Jasper repeated as Wern's stuttered question. Then at the question about 'where', he shrugged.
"Classrooms vary depending on what she has to study. But most of them are on the building in front of the main dorms. You can ask Edel about it if you're interested."
