Open to Kalum Wulfgang and anyone who may have heard of new arrivals to a scientists home.
Alice sighed. She'd been in Lodan for about two weeks and still loved to see the city. But this curfew was making it really hard to do, considering the house was so far removed from the main districts of the city. Alice hopped of the window ledge she was sitting on and wandered downstairs. Uncle Johannes was definitely strange... he was always going on about a death ray, or laser, or something or other but couldn't ever seem to get them to work. He gets good business from the nobles though. They always seem to gobble up whatever shiny trinket or doodad he makes.
Alice peeked around a corner before moving into the next room. She really didn't want to meet Ulrich right now. The man was insufferable with his insults, complaints, and nit-picking, and Alice was in no mood for his latest tirade about being cooped up away from some party or another. She pressed herself against the wall and checked the next room. Clear. Alice entered and moved to the larder... A snack sounded good right now. The woman mumbled to herself as she began her search for something to eat.
"Let's see... no... no... That's Kalum's..." She set aside a bag of apples, a cheese wedge, and then a small thing of chocolate croissants. There had to be something... Aha! Alice pulled out a loaf of olive bread and started hunting for a skillet. A couple slices of bread face down with a little butter on the skillet to toast them up... that sounded good.
Alice managed to find a skillet and reached to grab it, standing on her tippy toes as she stretched, only to knock it further back on the cabinet top.
