Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Open for Lasair Landevier Lupen, Addison Halloway, Danny Ravensdale There was an extensive amount of pleasures that a single individual or a group can experience in the world of various sensations. Some preferred to observe the exotic swaying hips of dancers while others found their kicks in simpler tastes... Mainly directly tasting many ales. Though for Uriah there was very few things more spectacular than a venture at dusk through the Theater District after a successful day of marketing and advertisement. There always a large assortment of characters around to partake in activities with along with many a sounds to enjoy. As a larger whole the Theater District was a way for Uriah to overload his senses and just enjoy the world around him without the risk of a bottle being shattered on top of his head.
"Now then, where shall we start today?" He questioned to himself, there were many hours he could spend looking and enjoying the entertainment but where exactly should he start? there was always the Steam Dream Casino that called fourth his attention when there were not particular theater shows he wished to partake in watching. Reaching into his pockets he made a quick check of his wallet and pulled out a few coins that he could afford to spend at such a location before slowly slipping it into the left hand pocket of his coat. Not really in a particular mood to leave with less than he had taken out.
"A few good hands could pay for a spectacular show." He spoke out under his breath to himself happily, walking forward towards the Casino and making his entrance without that much of a delay from there. The night was young and who knew what was going to become of it?

The theater district was alive as always on this night, as it was on almost every other night. Lasair found himself wandering around, tossing some coins to a few impressive acts, but he overall had no plan for himself. Just the usual wander, chat, flirt, have fun sort of attitude.
There was a particularly interesting act to his side, and while he didn’t want to stop and watch it, it caught his attention as he walked by, head turning to keep his eyes on the girl juggling knives with a bored expression on her face. And then suddenly he ran into something, or someone to be more exact. He looked forward to the man, smiling a bit embarrassedly. “Sorry, I should have been watching where I was going.” He took a step back, looking the man over for a moment. “Are you alright?” he asked next.

As-nas had been the name given to him the first night he had murdered for what was considered 'justice' rather than just passion to draw blood. In a language he was unsure of, it meant Ace, and as such the petite man found himself behind a dealer's table in the infamous Steam Dream Casino. Now, Addison was not a particularly patient man, but he had done well within the last year in distracting himself from his lust of killing to take on various jobs of entertainment under the surveillance of Epikuro and her guild CAEsAL. One such job had included taking advantage of his skill with cards and acting as a dealer. As such, he stood and studied the men gathered about his table as he dealt the next hand though as he did so, he caught sight of the commotion near the entrance of the casino where one fiery haired man ran into a stranger. While continuing his work, he kept a careful gaze trained on them.
Uriah was never the type to typically rush when he didn't want to this was a night where he could spend his time just lounging and admiring the sights. Even if he was speedily walking around his attention was drawn towards the more amusing of the exhibits but it seemed that it ended up with him colliding with something he didn't particularly notice, no it wasn't a pole which the man was happy about at risk of looking stupid in the open but still it wasn't exactly the most charming trait to not watch where one was going.
"Oph!" Grunting as he took a few steps back away from the individual he collided with, turning his attention next to instantly to gaze over the individual, it wasn't exactly the most natural thing that he had ever seen before. The crazy hair along with the color was almost enough to make him look down instantly to avoid starring at how obscure it was. As he opened his mouth to speak he was caught off guard by the attitude of this particular bright haired person. Grabbing hold of his coat he adjusted it and took a quick pat over it all, 'dusting' himself off but was most likely an obvious attempt to check to make sure his wallet hadn't been deviously taken from the encounter.
"I'm not crippled so I assume I'm fine... Though I am as much at fault as you are. Are you okay sir? Not banged up?" He questioned with a slight smile upon his face so the other wasn't uncomfortable or put off by his opening statement. "I assume we both got caught up in watching some of the displays, impressive really if you ask me." Starting to pass off a little bit of conversation he took a closer view of the individuals face before finally letting his eyes wander higher up, most likely having made direct eye contact for more than a few moments before looking away.

Lasair nodded to the other man, smiling gently. “I am well thank you for the inquiry, sir.” He turned to look back towards the performer that had been distracting him, only to see that she had been replaced by another act, an exotic dancer. Those ladies were never his fancy so he looked forward again, regarding the new fellow anew.
“The acts here are quite stunning; it seems as though every other week there’s someone or something new around the streets. May I ask where you were heading? I myself was thinking of visiting the Steam Dream Casino.” His own eyes lingered on the mole on the mans chin before switching to look at the grand building. The general ander had never been much of a gambling man, but it was fun to press your luck from time to time, see if the cards were in your favor, that sort of thing. So long as he didn't have alcohol, he knew when to stop spending the money.

The issue seemed resolved relatively quick and so Addison directed his attention back to the men gathered about the table. He went through each with their offers in bets and whether they would match a previous one or fold. One folded immediately in the first round. After dealing the three cards into the center of the table, his gaze traced over each men and their actions before he repeated the ushering of bets. Three more folded leaving behind himself and two men playing. With the new bets in, he dealt the fourth card as the three men who folded excused themselves from the table.
A woman took the seat as the round ended with the fifth card and the winner had been apparent with a straight flush. After the round, he greeted the woman and nodded his head to one of the remaining men that departed, leaving three seats empty.
Raised his eyebrow in curiosity as the bright haired male turned his head to look back to the female, Uriah tilting his body to the side to take a look at what exactly had caught his attention enough to distract him. "Dancers huh?" He questioned but didn't really expect the individual to actually reply back to it in anyway but it seemed that he did.
"They are all rather talented at the end of the day, I wish I could afford to give them better tips. Though perhaps after a few good hands I can throw them some coins... So you could say we're heading in the same direction stranger." Reaching out his hand he would be quick about the shake while talking a little bit more. "Or perhaps go and see a proper show, depends how well I do.. Maybe dinner, unsure exactly. Though pardon my manners, my name is Uriah." He introduced himself in a rather quick manner, this wasn't exactly a formal event so there was no real need for a completely proper introduction.

Danny practically skipped through the theater district. She had a little jingle and a little time to spend it! When was the last time she'd been out in town and not on business? And in a dress no less? She couldn't remember. But all things being what they were, she hoped to do it a little more often now.
Maybe she could find Maeve. Danny hadn't seen her in a while, and she worked in the theater district last she'd heard. Knowing Maeve, she was going to be a bouncer at the biggest spot that'd need one. So... bar or casino? Danny decided on the latter and made her way to the Steam Dream. It was big. It was fancy. Maeve was probably there knocking heads.
Danny rounded a corner at the end of the block and spotted a shock of red hair out in a crowd. Found her! Danny hummed to herself was she snuck up behind 'Maeve'. Was her hair always that bright? As she drew closer and could see more than just the occasional flash of red she realized her mistake. Lasair. He wasn't bad company per se, but finding him usually meant work. Danny was within a hands bredth from him when she made her decision.

He chuckled as the other man seemed to ramble and then took a slight bow to this Uriah. “Lasair Landevier Lupen, at your service,” he introduced himself. “I still plan on heading to the casino, but if you would like to go your own way and see a show, so be it.”
“Evenin’ Lassy.”
Turning to hear the familiar voice, Lasair was rather surprised to see Danny (or perhaps Danielle given the dress) in front of him, looking fancy and very much not like a scary shadow beast hunter. The wardrobe change was nice on her, fit well. He found himself staring a moment longer than he should before speaking. “Fancy seeing you here.” Gesturing to the stranger, he continued. “This is Uriah; I bumped into him on my way to the casino.” Danny never exactly seemed like one to go out for a night of fun, so perhaps she was just checking on her second in command, who didn’t want to trouble her if she had any other plans.

The next round passed rather quickly among the few that still remained and once through, Addison dismissed those who remained so he might enjoy a pause while exchanging the decks. As he tended to the table, he denied several that approached to play. Occasionally, his eyes would roam over those lingering in the casino. Vulgar, everyone of them. Again his eyes found the bright hair outside of the door and a slight twitch affected the inside of his right brow.
Moved his attention conveniently over to the female before giving her a swift bow with a slight noticeable haste now that he was within a ladies presence. "What fortune to come across one such as you." He smiled brightly before raising back up into his typical proper posture. "An acquaintance of yours Lasair? Had I known I would of assembled more suitable attire." Even though he understood by Lasair's context that this was a chance meeting he couldn't help but try to take advantage of the situation.
"You're welcome to join us if you would like madame, if casting your luck in a deck of cards is.. Suitable entertainment for one such as yourself. Though.. It would be a shame to learn of your name given that you're now aware of mine." With a slight laugh he turned his attention towards the bright haired Lasair and then into the distance to check out the casino a bit. "It seems like there is a handful of empty chairs at that table, or we could wander to find a more.. Personal choice." He let out, knowing full well that some people come to a Casino and find a particular table or machine and stick with it through the night/weeks/years if it continues to give them a decent amount of luck and without much knowledge of what might be two companion's play style he wanted to make sure they would be happy as well.

Danny rolled her eyes at the flippery being spewed by Uriah. Great... another Lasair...
"Ain' fortune from where I'm standin', slick. Ya migh' wanna tone down the flowery talkin' next time ya meet a girly. Don' want em thinkin' yer a slimey git right from the start, do ya?" Danny cracked her neck and let out an audible sigh. "We're playin' cards'n? A'righ'. Jus' don' start cryin' when I walk outta 'ere wit yer money."
Danny turned and started walking towards the tabe indicated, only to stumble when she recognized the dealer. That psycho with the tophat... Not the creepy one. The clowny one. Too late now. Danny internally screamed as she walked up to Addison's table and sat down, all cocky smirking and confident gesturing to anyone watching.

Shrugging to Uriah, he turned to follow Danny and then sat down, nodding to the dealer. “Evening,” he greeted without paying much mind to the man. He drummed his fingers on the table for a moment, glancing over his shoulder to see if the ‘slimey’ man would come to join them. It didn’t matter to the red head either way, but he did enjoy the man’s conversation. Danny might have scared him off, however.
Ouch. The female didn't seem to be having of that now was she? Though he didn't think there was anything directly wrong with his comments it seemed to maybe a have struck a nerve and if there was anything Uriah could do, it was avoid pressing those particular buttons once again... Even with his dignity a little dented by being called 'slimey' but even still he continued to persevere though the comment. "There's a better chance the dealer could be walkin' out with all of our money."
Making his way behind Danny, he moved at around Lasair's speed and leaned in. "Are they always like this?" He inquired wondering if using another pitch would most likely come out to be just as fruitless as before. Though within a few moments he found himself at the same table, looking over the dealer real quick before back his to company for the time being, perhaps they would lose a fair amount of their coin early on but the same was just as likely for him.
"Evening Sir, whenever you please." The man smiled lightly, his confidence beaming forward towards the individual that he was ready to play a few if not a lot more hands over the course of the night depending on how the luck came his way.

Addison looked up from where he was grabbing a second deck to replace the first, and his eyes found Danny. He had half the mind to turn her away under the guise of still prepping but that would not do. After all, her voice was familiar though he could not quite place it. "Good evening, young miss." His eyes trailed over to the spot of bright hair he'd seen earlier, now joining them. "Good evening to you as well, sir. This is a table set for Lodan hold'em. I hope that shall suffice for you both." He waited to see if the second man would join them as he removed the cards from the deck, searching them for the jokers to remove before shuffling them. When he did, he asked, "How much money would each of you wish to exchange for chips?"
