Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Stephen spotted Iacomus outside and was immediately suspicious. What more, he had a wanted poster in his hand not but a few moments ago and the picture looked an awful lot like Rava. Was Iacomus in with the group. He had better find out for Rava's safety. Stephen exited the clinic quietly and walked over to Iacomus with a bored look on his face. "Good evening Iacomus. I did not expect to find you out and about at this late hour. How are you?" he asked politely, keeping his eyes open for any sound in case one of those hunters thought to attack him from behind.

Iacomus eyes widened and he smiled enthusiastically. "Hello my boy! How are you this evening? I am doing quite well, myself." He quickly folded up the papers he held and tucked them neatly into his coat. "You must forgive me, but I can't seem to remember your name! I do apologize." He hoped that this man hadn't seen him with the poster. He did not want him to think that he was attached to whatever group the masked men were a part of. If he knew the woman in the poster, that would be even worse, but the man was a noble, and Iacomus assumed that that would not be the case...
Ikuze blinked as the doctor handed her the napkin that Stephen had given him, and offered the use of his sink. The fact that a human was actually being kind, at least in voice, to her was not lost on the half-blood, given that such occurences in Lodan were quite rare in her experience. The thief curtsied before the doctor. "Thanks..." she said, making her way to the sink in the next room to scrub the remnants of bile from her face. After some scrubbing she found herself looking at her reflection in the mirror. Her attention went to her hands which were shaking somewhat. "So easy... it was just... so easy..." muttered Ikuze before she slapped herself. "Focus girl, focus..."
Rava heard what Mulven had to say , she reached her good hand up to his face and caressed his warm cheek which gave her some happiness "am sorry , i didn't want you to...... end in this situation .. not like this ..... this was my fault... all of this " as tears and blood came down her face " i regret alot of things... but one thing i never r...regret ... is falling for you .... your the reason why i am holding on to this life .... I ..... I Love you " she finally said , words that the once bandit never though she would say as the doctor was treating her. she wanted to make her future with the man she loved and she would hold on as long as he held onto her.
she then turned to to see her friend " I Ikuze ..... am sorry , reason i asked you to run , i didnt want you to get harmed .. in anyway ...please forgive me ....." knowing she will have to carry the deaths of the bounty hunters , men who only want her death for greed and gold.
the hunters notice the 2 , they looked on and see that one has one of the wanted posters , they quickly acted as they rushed the 2 men , they didn't not want to lose there target to anyone at all " YOU 2 GET ON THE GROUND NOW!" they shouted as the pointed there bows at them ready to shoot " RELEASE THE POSTER NOW AND GIVE UP ALL YOU BELONGING NOW BEFORE WE KILL YOU ON THE SPOT!" they where not messing at all , only knowing that there was only a few of them left and they did not want to lose anything to these 2 people before the night was over.

Mulven's eyes widened and his lips pressed into a tight frown. She must be delirious, he thought. No way was this girl in love with him, they'd only met three times, and two of them he was pretty certain she was pitch drunk, if not on all three occasions. She turned her attention to Ikuze and Mulven pulled back, rocking onto his heels and pacing the room. Loving someone wasn't that simple... falling for them could be though, and he paused to glance at her for a moment. Maybe she was falling. Maybe that part was true, but if she thought she loved him now, then she didn't know the meaning of the word. He started pacing again.
And what about him, what did he feel? He liked her well enough, not so much as to say he was in love with the girl, queens!! But he would admit having a tender spot for her. A protective instinct took over him from the first time he saw her pushed over in the dirt by the press of the crowd at the festival of hearts. He thought about that now, picturing her in his mind... She wore a white day dress with a bright white wide brim hat shading her face. There was a blue ribbon around it and she wore tiny little white slippers on her feet. She was so small, he was always so concerned with how tiny and fragile she looked. He could rest his chin on the top of her head if she hugged him.
His attention rivetted when he heard voices outside the door, Quietly he walked over to the window and glared out the corner of the glass. Outside he saw fancy-pants with someone he apparently knew. Movement caught his eye and too late he noticed the armed men springing into action. They barked out orders to the others and he cursed under his breath. Turning back to Ikuze, the doctor and Rava he put his finger over his lips in a shhing motion, then tiptoed carefully to the door. Reaching into his pockets he pulled out a few more smoke granades and cracked the door ajar just enough to throw a softball through. He waited for fancy-pants or the other fellow to react before making his own move.

Stephen was about to respond when the two hunters confronted them. Stephen nodded, pretending to look scared as he raised his hands to show he was no threat. This was not good. Iacomus was here so if he pulled out any of his knives, the man might put two and two together and figure out he's the assassin. Alas, he could not just let these hunters live when they were so close to their target and his friends. Stephen looked over at Iacomus, hoping he would do something and attack one of them. When he was distracted he might be able to take the other out. He saw a tiny movement from the door and glanced over. It was Mulven with what looked like some sort of bombs in his hand. Stephen glanced at the hunters then once more to Mulven again, making a slight jerk of his head in the hunters direction while looking at Mulven, trying to get his message across. If they were smoke bombs he could take both of these guards out quickly without Iacomus knowing about the knives.

Thats all the indication Mulven needed. He cranked back his arm, pulled the pins, and let fly two more smoke grenades (that's 4 of 5, he has 1 left). They erupted with smoke and a bang each, even before the struck the ground at their targets feet.

Stephen went into action as soon as the smoke sprung forth. Covering his mouth and nose with his sleeve, he lunged into the smoke cloud in the direction in which one of the two bandits had been standing before. Just as he moved, a bolt flew right were he had been standing, managing to cut his forehead in the process. Splendid, now he would have to explain this cut to his father. A smoke shrouded silhouette appeared before him. Slipping one of his throwing knives out he aimed silently at the figure. It was one of the hunters, the one who had shot him since he was attempting to reload. The hunter spotted movement and turned towards it but it was too late. Stephen threw his knife but missed his main target as the knife missed the hunter. Resisting the urge to swear, he lunged forward and yanked the crossbow out of the hunters hands as he punched the hunter in the face. While they were disoriented, he yanked the partly loaded arrow out of the crossbow then jammed it into the hunters neck, killing them (Knife fighting I).
Blood was smeared on one of his hands and a throwing knife had gone missing. If that did not spell out assassin to Iacomus, the man must be an idiot. The only thing to do was to pretend the blood was his own. The knife, he would have to find later. There was still another hunter in the mix though. Stephen squinted as he looked around at the slowly dissipating smoke and listened. The was a female voice coughing loudly not to far from his left. It had to be the other hunter since he had not seen any females outside when he spotted Iacomus. Crouching down he crept over to the noise, finally spotting the hunter from the back. She had removed her mask, probably hoping to help her breathing as she looked around frantically Moving silently forward until he was right behind her, he straightened and wrapped one arm around her neck as his other hand went up to cover her mouth and nose. He was taller than her so he was able to lift her off the ground. She struggled, clawing uselessly at his jacket for a little bit but went limp quickly (Unarmed Combat II). The smoke inhalation must have helped speed up the process. Both hunters were taken care of.
Now, to pretend as if nothing happened. He somehow had to convince Iacomus that he had not killed the two hunters. It had been terribly risky to take them out right in front of the man anyways. Only Mulven's smoke bombs had saved him from being seen. The only way to possibly pull this off was pretend that he was too distraught to have done anything helpful. Stephen stumbled out of the smoke cloud, coughing wildly as he crashed into the side of the building. He slumped down, still coughing as he clutched the wound on his head with his already bloody hand. He played up the act by looking around frantically, trying to speak but only making out gibberish. Those acting lessons Marcus had given him were coming in handy- he hoped. If not, all he was doing was
((Flipped heads or tails to see if his knife would hit the person in the head. Obviously, I got tails XP if only I didn't have 50% hit rate DX I am totally out of ideas today XP))

Iacomus pressed himself against the wall as the smoke bombs exploded, covering his mouth with his hand. He waited there with wide eyes, but remained as still as he could. The smoke started to clear a little, and there were the two masked-people, dead at his feet. The boy who he had been talking to was thrown - or so it seemed - into the side of the clinic, seemingly scared out of his wits. He seemed to have a cut on his forehead, and blood from his wound seemed to have gotten onto the hand he had grasped it with. However, one of the corpses seemed to be bleeding out from its neck onto the brick of the ground below, and the other looked as if she had been strangled. Iacomus could tell. Who then, if not the boy who was now whining on the ground, could have killed these two? The bomb had obviously not been theirs, as it came from the direction of the clinic... These were the people who were looking for the woman in the poster.... Does that mean she's nearby? But if that is the case, why would they choose to attack the boy? "oh my..." Iacomus said in bewilderment. He was actually quite confused at this time, and the bewilderment was not all an act, but he was also quite intrigued. This should be interesting.
The thief smirked at Rava. "Please. I get hurt on an almost daily basis. Can't run across rooftops without getting a few bumps and bruises along the way. Plus, steel strings on my baby." she said with a pat on her instrument. "The amount of times I've bled cus of a slight misjudgement in pressure..." she said with a smirk before she heard the noise outside from the hunters.
Ikuze looked towards the door and moved herself between it and Rava even as Mulven moved into position. If they got past him, then she was Rava's only line of defence. Ever so slowly she pulled her guitar into position, ready to send out a "power" chord that would carry more towards the enemy than her voice alone could. When Mulven threw out the smoke grenades, Ikuze braced herself, her fingers hovering over the strings of her instrument.
the 2 hunter where deposed of, one killed with a knife in his chest and the other who is a woman chocked . the woman was still alive but when she wakes up that will change. in a different part of the town , a man wearing animal skins see the sun rising , he gestures to his man as they follow him out of Lodan , they failed to get there target , they may return one day but they lost fresh blood today , the only ones who wanted to hunt the Bandit queen.
Rava laid there as the doctor sowed her left eye closed to stop the bleeding , hearing the things that happened outside as she was useless , but at lest with this night she will be she could think , even with less blood in her body as she was slowly being patched up . as this downfall was the beginning for her.
(sorry for the short post , as for the hunters they lost this night so they choose to leave for now. with only one hunter out cold and alot to talk about and do, as the sun comes , a cool down part , no boss this time but i promises one for another thread when the time comes )

((Oh cool, you roll? I flip a coin. If I had dice tho. D&D habits die hard X3))
As the smoke cleared Stephen's eye widened at the sight he had been expecting. Both hunters were on the ground. His free hand flew up to his mouth, partly to hide his annoyed frown with having to act this way, partly because it fit his little act "Are they..... dead?" he wheezed out. Someone please put him out of his misery soon. He shot a pleading look at Mulven, hoping he got the point.

"More er, powerful than expected," Mulven said a little stonily. He hadn't expected smoke grenades to kill anyone, but once the smoke cleared, there the hunters were - laid out on the street motionless as the dead.
of note, with the addition of the new TW skill branch, Mulven wont be able to toss grenades anymore until he gets his TW I skill. if anyone needs some crafted though, Mul's your man

That would have to do. "I am getting on these streets immediately. I suggest you do as well, Sir" he said in a rush as he struggled to get back on his feet. With a quick nod he hurried back to Dr. Flintlocks clinic. This night needed to end. He was already on thin ice with killing those people practically in front of both of these men. He moved past Mulven as he stepped inside. He blinked when he saw Ikuze, a confused look on his face. "What are you doing? Were you going to scare the hunters away with some mood music?" he asked incredulously.
Ikuze frowned at Stephen's question before recalling that he had never actually seen her use her guitar in combination with her magic. "You remember that trick earlier?" she asked, referring to when she'd made those two hunters kill themselves. The thief's face blanched a little at the memory and she swallowed down some bile before continuing. "Well, this," she said, patting the guitar, "much bigger audience. I didn't know how many were there, and this is louder than my voice." explained the blue haired girl as she put it away.
