Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Indeed. When did our group turn into a child care center" and by 'group' he meant CAEsAL. After closing the door behind him, he walked over to the chair and sat down in it with a tired sigh. "I have an few outfit that is being made for her. They will be done in about an hour. I had to guess her measurements so if the clothes do not fit we could get them fixed later." Sitting down now he realized how unclean he felt. Getting up quickly he took off his jacket with a disgusted look on his face and tossed it in the corner of the room, his vest soon following it, leaving him in his long sleeved shirt, pants and boots. "That girl owes me a new coat. And a rabies shot." he went over to the mirror to look at the cut on his head. It was not that bad looking but it had dried blood on it. It was a wonder he had not been arrested for looking like a criminal. "You seriously let me out and about looking like this?!?" he said in a despairing voice, staring at his frazzled looking appearance with shocked outrage. With an unhappy groan he flopped down onto the chair again "When will this day end.."

"I wonder that myself too..." She sighed. Though her mental questions on that matter usually were not as literal as today... but with workers like hers, who needed kids?
"It's not as bad as you seem to be thinking it is. When she out of the tub and dressed you can wash it on the sink, and the most it'll remain will be a tiny thin bruised line." And depending on where he goes, she pondered, he was still prone to be robbed for 'looking rich', with or without that little bruise. And she kept talking on her way into the room's bathroom, leaving the door cracked open so he could still hear what she was saying but not stare at the one-armed little girl while she was washed. "And not like it would help if I commented on it while you were carrying the kid either." Nor after she had to carry the kid herself.

"Great, just a bruise. Which I will have to explain to my old man. I do not think my 'I tripped down the stairs' excuse will work anymore on him" no, he was out late already; No doubt his father would think that he got the bruise by doing..... strenuous activities with a female. He shiver unconsciously, a grimace on his face. God he did not want the talk again. That man still treated him like he was a 12 year old. "I bet the kid will be hungry when she comes to. I'll go get some food for her. What would you like? Do not refuse. I do not understand why people are so willing to refuse free food when so many of us are complaining of stomach pains" he muttered the last bit with a shake of his head.

"Do you want me to follow you home and 'help' you explain yourself to your father?" She chuckled. "Stephen since you live with your family you seriously need to learn some Deceit tricks." And then he mentioned food. "A bag of strawberry jam-filled doughnuts glazed in sugar, thank you very much." No hesitation in asking at all. Nope. And she had already made her request when he was still uttering the word 'refuse'. Oh she did want a treat as reward for cleaning that strange kid for free, and there was no way she was going to feel ashamed for that.

"Oh Queens no, that will only make it worse! The man would come to his own conclusion and not listen to a word we'd say. Thank you for the offer though" he would probably start writing his wedding speech then and there. Typical man, blowing things way out of proportion. "Is Deceit some kind of magic? Because last I checked I an unable to perform any magic." he said with a gloomy sigh. At Epikuro's specific instructions he let out a short light "Right then. Well, I will be back in a few with the clothing and food." With that he straightened his shirt then left, closing the door quietly behind him.

"Deceit as a skill is magic, yes. But 'tricks', not necessarily. For example, learning how to disguise bruises with cloth and/or makeup." Like a circus magician's tricks. "I'll try to have her smell clean by the time you come back."

(time for another post for Eryn before she wakes up)
as they start to wash the sleeping girl , they start to see an amazing transformation, as the dirt comes off her skin it turn pale white and her hair a brighter brown. as the water turned dirty , year of living in the dark and damp sewers without sunlight and dirt had hidden the true beauty of this young girl , a rare sight to see as this once girl started to turn into another.
(years in the swear will do that to a person)

After a while, Stephen finally arrived back at the inn. He had a large back that had the outfits in it and another smaller basket that held some drinks, a good amount of the pastries Edelweiss had requested, a warm container (with turkey, fish- for him of course- as well as vegetables), and a fruit salad. He had managed to sneak home and convince his overly cheerful chief to make the food while he went back to the clothing store. The man was more than happy to help; he was always eager to show off his cooking skills, a trait Stephen took advantage of many times for such occasions as this. "I am back" he called after knocking on the door "I managed to sneak past that rude innkeeper this time. Probably would have scolded me again for 'leaving my child alone at such a late time" he said in a sarcastic voice, rolling his eyes "I have the clothing and food. I hope you are okay with hot punch or lemon water. I had to leave before I could grab some tea" he finished with a sigh.

Edelweiss let out an awkward laugh at his mention of reasons to sneak past the innkeeper. "Welcome back, I think. And yes punch sounds good, and after this day I'm fine with anything to drink." She gone to take the clothes first to dress Eryn in them. The least that could be said was after being washed it was really strange to leave her there in the empty bathtub without anything for cover; but with her immobile like that it was like dressing an oversized and rather heavy doll, so it took a while before Edelweiss managed to carry the strange girl out of the bathroom. "It's like the washing took her colors away along the dirt."

Stephen looked up from his fish "Wow, she actually looks decent now. I thought that would be an impossible feat" he said with a slight yawn. "Do the clothes fit? Your food is over and the side table by the bed" he said tiredly, rubbing his eye. "Hopefully when she comes to she will not try to escape or stab us with a fork" he grumbled, talking another bite of the cooked fish on his fork.

"See how there was indeed a girl and not a dog under all that smelly sewage dirt." The redhead nodded and gone ahead to place the still sleeping girl on the bed, then turned her attention back to the task of offering a peace treaty to her stomach so it would stop complaining. Obviously, the clothes had fit the kid at least reasonably, otherwise she wouldn't be able to wear them (and would still be naked in the bathtub).
"It might be good to hide the forks and knives after we finish eating, to make sure..." She let out a sigh, the tiring part was that wasn't even a joke. "And maybe the spoons to, just in case."
Stephen let out an amused snort "I am still not quite sure about that. Do you think the innkeeper will charge extra for the mess. Who cares, he can clean it up for being rude" At Edel's comment he let out a short laugh "Oh, Queens help us, the child is going to murder us with some spoons" It was sarcasm of course but he knew this girl was not like ordinary people so he would follow Edelweiss's instruction anyways. Getting up he stretched "I am going to see if I can disinfect this scratch now since the bathroom is free... It better not smell terrible in there" he grumbled as he went into the separate room.

"Be killed with the spoons, probably not... but losing an eye with one, maybe." And she mused in her mind that Stephen was a really lucky man if he didn't know the things a spoon could be used for when someone was desperate enough. But soon she also figured it would be way better to focus on the food and her lovely jam-filled doughnuts than on thinking of gruesome mental images. "It's not absolutely terrible, but not smelling like heaven either. That kind of stuffy scent like the Trials closet."

Stephen walked in and scrunched up his nose "Queens, it smells like something died in here and someone tried to cover up the scent with the intoxicatingly strong perfume" hopefully the kid did not smell like this. She probably did not, Edel seemed quite capable of getting rid of the stench, since the bathroom was quite an improvement from before. Taking off his eye patch he washed his face with some water, refusing to use the soap since it smelled like coconuts and that girl had used it. After a bit of scrubbing he managed to get the dried blood and small amount of grime off. It did not look infected so he supposed it was fine. He walked back into the room, noticing how different it seemed to look now since he had the use of both his eyes. He never got use to taking his eye patch off. "Does it look better?" he asked, pointing to the now cleaned wound.
as sound started to come back she slowly opened her eyes , the light was so bright she was painfully blind , she tried to cover her eyes but her arm was tide to her side , something didn't fell right she felt colder , and lighter , as she tried to move she rolled of the bed and landed face 1st on to the floor "Aggh!" her feet where still tide but latest her face was shielded from the light allowing her to open her eyes fully again, she felt around and thing where not right her coat had gone and was replaced with other things , she felt that something was covering her hips down as well, confused even more and scared even more she know 2 things , this was not normal , and she had to run or hide , able to see under the bed she wiggled her way to hide there , it was the only safe place she could think of , that was dark enough and safe enough.
