OPEN TO ANDERSWELTLERS/HALFBLOODS AND MINGO'S MERCHANICS!!
Andersweltlers and Technology
Why does technology always seem to malfunction around Andersweltlers?
I hypothesize that it is because of their magical abilities imbued in their blood.
Andersweltlers are known to have magical abilities that humans are physically incapable of. This parapsychological advantage is based in their bloods, as guessed by scientist. This means that every time their heart beats a burst of Para-magical energy (PME) is emitted from them. It is only a minor amount of PME so it would have no effect on others. Weak and mostly contained, this wave can only travel a few centimeters off the Andersweltlers skin.
Our steam technology is mostly all metal based. Metal has been proven to be a conductor of magic. So, when an Andersweltler is around any metal object, their PME is intensified.~ Further question, do certain metals enhance/decrease an Andersweltlers PME more than others?~ This increased PME is contained in the metal object that is it's conductor- so long as the Andersweltlers skin remains in contact with it. As long as the metal object is stationary, such as a cup or dagger, it will be mostly unaffected by the PME's flowing through it.
Moving Steam Technology like cars, Ferris Wheels, and clockwork devices are another story; PME's have a devastating effect on moving devices. The PME pulse effects the crank frequency. As the PME is pulsed through the device, it will try to match the heartbeat- the creator of this pulse- of the Andersweltler. Most steam technology operates at a faster pace then that of the average heart rate of an Andersweltler. So, the sudden change in speed causes the machine to malfunction.
It is a troublesome outcome that I believe can be prevented. Every time a machine breaks the fault is placed unjustly on Andersweltlers. They did not purposefully sabotage the machine. It is just an unfortunate disadvantage that comes with their magical abilities given to them from birth. If this pulse can be concentrated on something other than the mechanical device, then Andersweltlers might be able to use any steam technology easily and without trouble. This device could be a simple magnetic bracelet. The magnet would work as a sponge, absorbing the excess PME's, ensuring that they would not effect the Andersweltler's surroundings ~ Further Question, could these magnets also be used to channel the Andersweltler's magical abilities like a staff or something of the sort?~ Further testing will need ot be provided to prove my theory. Maybe..

Stephen tossed his pencil down onto the table in front of him, rubbing at his head in irritation. He was located at a small, secluded building and had been waiting here for what seemed like hours. Yet still no one had shown up. He had his patch over his right eye so that his yellow one was out and hand a white mask over his nose and mouth. He was wearing large, high collared coat, his usual attire for his assassin missions, minus the addition of the mask. Anyways, the reason he was here in this dump. He had put up a few posters offering a reward to any Andersweltler willing to participate in his harmless experiment and any mechanic who knew how to fix watches. He tired his best to make the offer not sound as precarious as it looked by wording it in a friendly way. That, obviously, had not worked. They probably thought it was some prostitution add. He sighed and looked down at the 10 watches he had placed in front of him and the 5 magnetic bracelets he had designed. The watches ticked synchronized, all the same brand and all at the exact same time. Everything was ready, all he needed now was people.
