Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Oh ho ho. She wanted to have some strong fun. Yes, he knew just the place that would provide. A visit from a certain green fairy seemed fast at hand. “Come with me and let’s go and see,” he chimed to her, voice sounding almost like it were singing. With a bounce in his step, he led her to the theater district. It was a little bit of a walk, but it was worth it.
“Hey Fred,” he said as he walked past the line of people, waving at the bouncer standing at the door. “I haven’t been here in about a month or so, but does my free pass still count?” he grinned with his charming smile at the big burly man, who stared down at him and Emily in response.
After a few intimidating moments of silence, the man broke out into laughter. “Sure thing, but only because that girl is better looking than the last one who came in.” Stepping aside, he held the door open for the pair of them. Leading Emily inside, the place behind the door was very fancy, looking like a place for nobles to visit, rather than middle class or peasants. He led Emily to a table and sat down, waiting to hear her reaction to their location.
She followed beside him with less springy strides. He was very confident about his ability to choose the right place and she had no doubts as he led them to an interesting place. The man outside made her hesitate slightly when he offered no reply to Lasair's question. He seemed like someone you wouldn't want to cross. His laughter surprised her though, causing her to smile slightly. This city was full of interesting people. Her hazel eyes took in the fine decor of the inside with curiosity. It looked quite nice. She seemed a little distracted by the atmosphere in the room until she noticed them heading for a table. Emily sat down folding her hands on the table giving the place one more look before turning her attention to him. "Lets hope the drinks can live up to the wallpapers reputation." She joked relaxing in the seat and brushing some stray hair behind her ears.

“Oh they can, trust me,” he said with a smile. A waitress came over to their table surprisingly quickly and sported a rather large pair of breasts. Lasair kept his eyes on Emily as he ordered, however, seemingly unfazed by the waitress. “Absinthe please, for both me and my friend here.” The waitress gave him a look of surprise, but then walked off with a bounce in her step.
Still with eyes on Emily, he grinned anew. “I hope you don’t have any big plans tomorrow. The hangover will be brutal.”
Emily chuckled softly at him looking down at her hands slightly under his gaze, her eyes flicking to his and back down. She wasn't usually a timid person but there was just so much to look at and pay attention to. She gave him a curious look as he ordered, whatever it was sounded slightly exoctic. "Interesting...." She murmured catching his eyes evenly with her own. "I think I can handle it." Confidence, her strong suit. "It's nothing Lionel won't find amusing tomorrow." The half-breed snickered at the thought of Lionel finding out she was thinking about trying to out-drink her companion. It was not a good idea at all and she probably wouldn't go through with it. But one extremely lazy day wouldn't hurt her, she'd sleep in late...very, very late.

“It’ll be a little while before the drink gets here,” he said, glancing around the room briefly before returning his eyes to Miss Raven. “What do you like to do in your spare time? What do you do for fun?” He wanted to see just how much he could learn about this lovely lady, how much he could experience before disappearing into the depths of the city.
"What do I do in my spare time? Why, I enjoy a romantic novel or two and long walks on the beach." She gave him an award winning smile before laughing and shaking her head. "Not really. I spend a fair amount of time in my bay window working on or finishing maps of places I've visited or reading in the sun." She brings a hand up to rest her chin on it as she talked. "If I'm out I like to go hunting sometimes, although the city makes that a hard task to complete if your intentions are hunting game and not people. I used to use my homeland as a sort of obstacle course to play in as i grew up. Kept my small little world interesting." Emily smirked. "What about yourself?" She leaned forwards slightly quite interested in the man before her. He was an enigma in himself sometimes.

“What area are you from? I’ve been around quite a bit. What kind of hunting would you do?” he asked, leaning back in his chair before addressing her question. “I like to read. Socialize. Study. Whatever strikes my interest really. I used to travel a lot, all around to see what I could find. Some places were welcoming, some not too much. It taught me a lot of things, but I came back to Lodan after a while. Couldn’t abandon my parents.” Now it was his turn to wait for her to answer more questions.
She nods at his answers casting a glance across the place when he paused. "You sound like someone who likes to have time to himself as well as time to socialize. I'm from the islands in the West Indies. That was where my friends and I went hunting for wild game, before I started roaming and traveling." Best to leave the thieving, treasure hunting, and hitching rides from people who probably didn't like it out of the equation. "I spent most of my life on my own, I had my mother of course to talk to when I came home but I never really did stay for long. I lived off acquaintances and the rare few friends here and there until I came here." She wandered the streets of Lodan for awhile before Lionel found her and took her in. She smiled softly remembering the night she met him. Long story came with that memory. "Have you been to the West Indies?" She asked him curiously.

“Yes, but that was at the start of my traveling so the memories have faded a lot. I remember it being nice, peaceful even. Some nice nature. I really should visit again seeing as they aren’t far from the city.” As he finished speaking, the waitress arrived with the drinks, two fancy glasses filled with green liquid and a bowl of sugar placed on the table between them.
Lasair reached for the sugar right away, taking several cubes and stirring them into the drink. He felt like having it on the sweet side tonight. As he did so, he watched Emily to see how much she would add to hers. Sometimes the way people had their drinks gave some clue in to their personality, or how they were feeling at the moment.
She nodded at him. The islands were nice, a wonderful place to live if you wanted to. But before she could say anything else a glass of strange green liquid was set before her. She watched as Lasair took some sugar cubes and she followed suit only she didn't grab quite as many, probably two or three. She stirred them in giving the drink a critical stare. After she was positive it was thoroughly dissolved she took a sip of it. A concentrated look crossed her face as she determined whether she liked it or not. She pursed her lips and took another drink smiling. "Not too bad."

Only a few cubes, so she didn’t like things overly sweet. He nodded, sipping his drink a bit more. “This stuff is stronger than regular alcohol; has some other stuff brewed into it. Some people hallucinate on it, but I just sit back and relax, seeing where the green fairy takes me.” Smiling, he looked at the drink when he said green fairy, given that it was another name for it. With drinks in hand, now it was simply a matter of time before the effects kicked in, and those would be rather interesting to see indeed.
"Green fairy?" She gave the glass a wary stare. She wasn't too overly enthusiastic about hallucinating. Leaning back in her seat she curled both hands around the bottom of the glass. "You're quite the laid back man Mr. Lupen. Does anything faze you?" Dhe smiled and took a small sip of the odd drink before her. She was a little cautious, not quite sure what to expect. Maybe the world would burst into rainbow butterflies or confetti and Lasair would come along riding a redheaded unicorn talking about his travels....wait.....maybe he would BE the unicorn...... Emily shook her head and told her imagination slow down. 'You're over reacting to a drink Emily Grace.' She looked back at lasair trying not to picture him as a horse.

“Nah. I’m an impenetrable fortress of perfect level headedness,” he answered, taking another sip of the green fluid. His grin took up more of his face as he boasted, but then he laughed it off. “This stuff is commonly called the green fairy. On the expensive side, but it’s usually worth it. Leads to a fun sort of trip, instead of the usual old tipsiness.” Gesturing to the bar, he continued. “Does the drink makes you nervous?”
"Perfect level headedness? I'll take your word for it." She grinned considering his words. "It does seem a little intimidating I will admit." She tapped her fingers on the sides of the glass. "But I wouldn't have agreed if I didn't think I couldn't handle it." She pulled the drink closer with a small smile.

Raising the glass, he smiled. “Then a toast, to treasure waiting to be found and secrets waiting to be uncovered.” He tapped his glass against hers and then drank more of it, thinking about where the conversation will lead next.
Looking at the various people sitting around them, he spotted some rather good-looking individuals and he smiled as a game came to mind. “Hey, take a look around. Who do you think is the most attractive person in this place? Second most attractive?"
