Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Emily looked over her shoulder at him as she approached the door. "You know, it isn't exactly my stuff....so I can't tell you that you can't have it." She waved her hand flashing him a teasing smile. Walking to the door she placed her hand on the handle, ready to turn it and leave. "Where's the best place in town? I'm rather new." The woman brushed her bangs from her eyes scanning them over the books on the shelves. So many interesting things in one little cabin. Her gaze traveled out the door and cast a glance up and down the street. Oh no, not now. She spotted the thing she did not want to see. "Lasair hurry up!" She hissed tensing up and unlocked the door. "We have company!" She pushed the handle down to make it easier to open the door as he gathered his newfound collectable.
Meanwhile the port master stood and scratched his stubble."Well I 'eard that there be a treasure huntin' vixen 'round these parts. Some say she be better than any hired bloke anybody ever found." The second man with several pistols hanging from his belt shrugged. "I don' believe a word of it. But if there was a vixen, hehe, be mighty fine to catch her wouldn't it?" The three shared a chuckle and carried on their way, nearly at the door as the pirate inside prepared to bolt.

That sounded like permission to him. He tucked the book into his coat and hurried over to the door, frowning a little when she said some guests will be coming. “If there’s not enough time to run, I have an idea. But you’ll have to trust me.” He winked at her as he peered out the door. To him, all the big burly men looked the same. Obviously she was the only one who could identify them.
Turning, he glanced around the room and reviewed the exits himself now. The door would be the best bet, but one of the windows could maybe work for what he had in mind.
Emily stares out the window flicking her eyes across the street trying to see if there was a way out. The men were getting too close for a clean way out. But it seems Lasair has it covered. "They're already too close for comfort. What is this idea?" She turned to him making sure the door was locked once again. The men were going to go in for the kill if they were found.

“The man coming in is the actual owner of this room, right?” He took a few steps towards her, looking over her head out the window. Once her confirmation came, whatever it was, he nodded quietly. “Right, then he should be pretty happy if I caught a thief among his wares.” Without warning, Lasair clamped a hand over her house and began to shout in a fake, but still believable tone. “Thief! Thief! I caught you, don’t try to struggle!” Using his other arm, he wrapped it around her and tried to hold her still, under his control. It wasn’t every day where he got to grab a girl soon on the first date.
"Yes it is...." She confirmed his suspicions only to look at him in shock at his next words. "Wait! Wh-!?" Had she read him wrong this entire time! Oh hell no! His hand covered her mouth as she went to shout in anger and confusion. She started writhing and trying to get away. Panic beginning to set in and her mind racing for something to do. The arm around her was limiting her movement greatly. Frantically she picked up her knees to her chest, letting him support her full weight, before kicking her feet down on the ground as hard as she could to try and knock him off balance. She made several muffled shouts of very creative curses at him as she struggled. (it's probably a good thing he had her mouth covered) Strands of her hair fell down in her face until she froze as she heard the door hand wiggling, her eyes wide with helplessness. The men outside stood trying to violently rip the door handle off, until the smaller one growled and pushed past the others kicking the door down. "What the hell is going on here!" The port master stepped in between the two hunters and glanced at them confused and furious. "Who ar' you?! And who be that?" His eyes scanned the girl in his arms.

Lasair hung onto Emily tightly, but did his best not to hurt her. It was rather hard though since she thought he was being serious in his act. Either that, or she was a really good actress. Hard to tell. Once the man entered the room, Lasair took a few steps towards the door. “Hello sir, this your office? I’ve been looking for this little thief, she robbed me last week. I saw her sneaking into this room so I followed her and grabbed her!” he spoke with a triumphant tone, smiling to the man. “I’m going to turn her into the EIRAL now, give her what she has coming.” He took a few more steps towards the door, struggling with Emily more. “She’s a bit hard to hang onto to, so I apologize if I seem to be in a rush.” A few more steps towards the door. He just needed to get out and around the corner and then he could explain himself. Even if she didn’t forgive him, they would get out of there without being in trouble, at least.
The half-breed stopped struggling, going partly limp in his arms as she listens to him speak. The arm around her was rather strong and her fighting hadn't done anything but tightened his hold. She muttered angrily tempted to bite his hand but thought the better of it as she felt him step towards the door. What was he playing at? The two men stared for a minute staring them over. "You sure she didn' take anythin' from 'ere?" He casts a glance around the room, eyes straying to the floorboards and pausing there before returning. The shorter man from before spoke up, "She looks like a handful...very well....thanks for saving us the trouble." He steps aside, the others following suit shortly after still giving them strange looks. She let him drag her out the door, giving a few struggles here and there. Once outside the men nodded and began to set the door back. Picking it up and leaning it against the poor door frame. Once they retreated into the cabin and they had a bit of distance Emily started. "Mmmm! Mnnn-mmmmh! Mhhhnnn!" She shouted angrily against his hand trying to pull out of his arms.

“I didn’t see her take anything, was rummaging around the desk when I walked in. Best of luck fellows!” He dashed out the door then, taking the opportunity while the girl wasn’t struggling as much. Moving quickly, he rounded a corner and found a shaded alley out of sight from the public. It was here where he released the girl, taking a step back and holing up his hands right away.
“I’m sorry about that, but we did get out of there without a problem,” he said quickly, flashing a nervous smile. “And I did my best not to hurt you. Sorry if I was a bit rough though. Didn’t expect you to struggle so much.”
Emily felt him let go and whirled around punching him hard in the shoulder. "A fair bit of warning would have been nice!" She cried crossing her arms a little angry but also relieved. He had most definitely surprised her and she reacted the way any rational thief would have. A fight for freedom. After a few seconds she loosened her arms and muttered, "Sorry." She probably shouldn't have punched him as hard as she did. But then again, he kind of deserved it. The girl double checked her belt for the map and she fixed its position against her side. "You alright? As irritatingly shocking as that was...it was pretty quick thinking. I'm impressed." She brushed herself off and stood tall before smirking at him, her gaze softening. "Thank you."

The punch to the shoulder wasn’t too bad, he took it well and didn’t cry out in pain or anything. Her look started off an angry, but then quickly softened, causing him to smile. “Don’t worry about it. And thank you, I do try to think on my feet.” He leaned against the wall of the alley, still smiling broadly. “And besides, it’s not every day where a first date leads to me getting so close to such a pretty lady.” His tone was smooth as he looked at her, expecting a sigh or something similar as response. She already seemed to not be so amused from his flirting, but that didn’t mean he wouldn’t try.
She rolled her eyes laughing quietly. "You have quite the character don't you?" He was persistent, she'd give him that. She shifted her weight to one side putting her hand on her hip. "Most first dates probably don't involve stealing or maps either." The native girl smiled at him seemingly considering something. "You wouldn't still be up for that drink would you? Totally hands off?" Emily smirked to herself pleased with the turnout of events. And slightly amused.

He chuckled at her sassy pose, smiling at her all the while. “That drink still sounds great. Do you have a place in mind?” Offering her his arm, he turned to head out of the alley, back into the street so that they could head off to their next destination. He just had to hope that they wouldn’t run into that office man again. If he saw Lasair with miss Raven chatting it up and having a good time, well… Let’s worry about that when and if it happens.
"Sadly, no I don't. I'm actually new here. I haven't had the time to go out and have a good time yet." She took his arm recalling how Lionel said this was something gentlemen do. She looked at him for a brief second before taking his arm and smoothly starting to walk as she did so, keeping in mind to step evenly with him. "Although, I do believe fully, that a flirtatious gentleman such as yourself probably has several places envisioned as we speak." She wears a smug little look, not uncommon when she got her way. She probably had a childish streak in her and sometimes she was not at all ashamed to flaunt it. She had a map on her side, a mission partly completed, a new ally and absolutely no reason not to celebrate!

“Oh but of course I do!” he countered with a grin. “Knowing the area is my specialty. Just tell me what kind of place you want to visit, or what kind of drink you wish to enjoy, and I’ll whisk you away to the place that most fits your desires.” He took a slight bow with the arm not laced with hers, looking up at her with that charming smile of his. He’d never give up the pursuit of making pretty girls smile. There was just something about their smiles that filled him with happiness. Abandoning that was simply not allowed.
She arched an eyebrow at his little display with a grin. 'Oh dear he thinks he's being cute.' She thought to herself trying not to laugh. She must admit, the relentless flirts and compliments were really sweet. He knew how to woo a girl, all the more reason not to let down her guard. However, there was nothing wrong with maybe considering him a friend. Emily broke out of her rapid fire comments to herself and hummed in thought at his question. "What about...something with a little kick? This is more than likely the pride in me talking but I feel like I can push my luck and try something new." Adventure is afoot. She glanced over at him curious as to what he thought of her idea.
