"This woman is up to something.", that little voice called conscience in the back of Edelweiss' mind warned. But it was just an intuition. There was nothing to back that up except gut feeling... and over a decade of experience dealing with professional liars (and occasionally being one when dealing with certain blue uniformized people).
...And had she just got those fruits for free? She didn't seem to actually pay for anything when seen behind Rose. Add that to the fact the redhead still had this odd feeling Rebecca was familiar but she couldn't pinpoint from where, and suspiciousness increased another level. Whom exactly had her mother bumped into? She'd have to probe through talking and watching.
This was not going to be fun.
Still, there wasn't any concrete nocive action, so Edelweiss couldn't react to it either. Which meant keeping on this light and friendly, slightly curious smile on her face despite any serious thoughts. Oh there, a comment about her being popular with boys. That at the very least explained why Rose had been so enthralled talking to her, if she was trying to pair her up with someone else's child again... Ah, mothers... If that's the case, better cut it by the roots.
"Thanks." She replied to the compliment with a short embarrassed chuckle. "But I'm taken, so no comments on that last part. "
"I still wish to see this elusive lad you keep talking of, shouldn't we go pay a visit?" She then turned to Rebecca. "You could come with us, maybe?"
"He's working two blocks down from here. We're in full business hours for most shops still, might want to wait till lunch time."
