Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
"Nope," Amon replied. "I was recommended this place by a friend. I actually don't go out all that much...especially recently, as Abby is learning to cook, though saying that might be a stretch," he continued, shuddering a little. Having a machine without the ability to taste cook food can lead to...unpredictable results.
"And here we are...though there might be someone in front of us...?" he noted, seeing an oddly familiar pair enter the establishment.

Stephen burst through the door in a huff, trying to keep up with Ikuze who seemed intent on losing him, and almost bumped into the woman. "Queen's woman," he muttered under his breath as he looked to see who Ikuze was talking about. Mrs. Wilons ("a stout, short woman who had rosey red cheeks and unkempt mousy brown hair" -A Meal Fit for the Queen) gave the couple the once over and stormed up to them like a freight train without breaks. "You thought you could jus' sneak in while I was out, didn't you Mr. Leland! Trying to hide this new, pretty lass from me too? What happened to the other girl? I hope she dumped your sorry arse." Mrs. Wilons blinked then narrowed her eyes at Ikuze, studying her. Her eyes flew open with recognition, "Saint's grace, this is the same lass you left at the alter!" Stephen coughed, avoiding the fiery woman's glaring eyes. "You-" she stepped forward and proceeded to kick him in the shin. "QUEENS, was that necessary," Stephen snapped loudly, grabbing his wounded leg. "Yes and I ought ta kick ya again! You 'ave no idea how cruel that was- not to mention the waste of effort I put in makin' the food for your nonexistent reception!"
By now the patron's of the restaurant had their attention on the group at the entrance. "Mrs. Wilons," the noble hissed, not liking the attention at all. Curse that waitress that claimed Mrs. Wilons would be out today. "Shut up about my personal life and serve us properly like actual customers," without waiting, he stalked over to an open table and pulled out a chair for Ikuze. He made a silent prayer that Ikuze had not heard Mrs. Wilon's comment about the 'other girl.' That would only complicate things even more. Mrs. Wilons huffed angrily in the noble's direction then turned a kind eye to Ikuze. "This way dear, I am sorry you had to see that. My name is Mrs. Wilsons and I own this fine establishment. Let's sit you down and I'll get your orders personally. Also, if ya want me to slip something into his drink jus' say the word and it'll be done" Upon spotting the couple behind Ikuze she smiled and gestured to them. "Come in, come in! Welcome to Wilons! Here, you can sit right over there," she pointed at the table next to Stephen and Ikuze's. Stephen finally noticed the two and put a hand to his face. "How wonderful. Out of all the days he could have brought her here and he chose this one," he grumbled, feeling fatigue already set in. This is the restaurant I based Wilons after! "Hi Stephen. And Ikuze too, it's been a while since I last met you." The redhead greeted with a short hand wave, a small smile on the otherwise blank face that was the same expression she always did when was trying really hard to not burst out laughing at something. By the heavens, that scene had been... there were no words that could possibly describe it.
And she sat down.
Daintly at the table Ms. Wilon offered.
If to keep Stephen from possibly being poisoned or just to watch as things developped in merry amusement (so long as no one's in real danger), only God knew. "I have the highest expectations for this dinner now. "
Ikuze blinked before smirking. "Don't worry, I've got him sorted Mrs Wilson. And to be honest, the last wedding was a tad rushed into... we're taking our time this go around." she said before taking the offered seat from Stephen. When she saw and heard Edelweiss she smiled. "Hey there. Has been a while. How've things been going? You look a little peaky..." the thief said in slight concern for the red-head before spotting who her companion for the evening was. "Oh, hi there." she said, really hoping that the man's mechanical parts weren't going to explode.
Speaking of explosions, she turned her focus to Stephen, crossed her fingers into each other, rested her elbows on the table and then rested her chin on the interlocked fingers. "Sooo... want to share, or should I ask Mrs Wilson for the story?" asked Ikuze with an amused smirk on her face, clearly enjoying this. She knew well enough that whoever this girl was, and she had a fairly good theory as to the girl in question, that this was before their current relation... but it was so much fun to watch him squirm, especially when she wasn't the one making him do it.
"...Oh good...entertainment," Amon muttered sarcastically, his eye twitching a little. He knew of the rumors surrounding Stephen and Ikuze's botched marriage, but he didn't think it was that bad. As fun as it was to make fun of the guy, those sort of public outbursts made him uncomfortable.
"...Good luck," he muttered to Stephen, as he went to sit with Edel.
"High expectations? So much for no pressure..." he replied to Edel's comment.

This time Edelweiss couldn't hold back a snicker. "No pressure on you, I just have the feeling this place will be anything but boring. Isn't that a good point to somewhere?" She told Amon with a calming motion of hand before turning back to respond to Ikuze's comments to her.
"Well, life has been having their ups and downs with me lately. But I'm reasonably fine right now." Could be better, but she had definitely been fairly worse some time before so now it wasn't time to complain. "Oh right, I guess you two didn't know each other still. Ikuze, this is Amon, clockwork doll maker who takes care of the Mingos. Amon, this is Ikuze, a friend of mine and pretty talented guitar player; she graces my District" and Stephen "with her presence once in a while."

"Pleased to meet your acquaintance," Amon replied. He remembered seeing Ikuze at Stephen's place. He also remembered how she broke one of his toys while subtly discussing ways to break Skye out of jail with Cait, but that was a discussion for another time.
"Guitar...perhaps you two should do a duet sometime...a combination of guitar and violin would be quite interesting to hear," he continued, looking between Ikuze and Stephen.

Wait he was asking her to join him?? Gladys was really going to die today. If her face could get any redder, it did, as she nodded and accepted his arm. “D-do you know how to get to docks?” she stuttered a little as she asked. If he knew how to get that far, she could relax a little on the walk over. But if not she'd be a bundle of nerves for a while.
He nodded and smiled calmly towards her. "I think I do yes." he said reassuringly before beginning to escort her. As they walked down Lodan's streets he kept a watchful eye for any trouble. Even though he was technically off duty, Artorigus knew that trouble didn't stop just because he wasn't on the clock. It was when he heard someone throw a wolf whistle their way that he shot a dark look in their direction, his free hand going to his sword that he kept by his side at all times. The offender immediately made their escape, allowing Artorigus to relax a little. "Apologies." he said as they continued to walk. "I just cannot stand anyone even hinting at such remarks towards the company I'm with." Artorigus explained as they drew near the docks. "A lady's honour should not be impugned." he said before looking around. "So... er... where was this place again?"
She was caught off guard by the whistle, tripping a little in her step. And she had just stopped blushing too, but that was gone. When they got to the docks, she led them to the restaurant she had in mind. “It’s right over here,” she explained, walking toward the building. “The Wilsons, they’re quite popular I’ve heard.” She smiled a little bit at they approached.

"Nice to see you too Edelweiss. Amon," he commented simple, giving the chap the once over then a subtle nod as if to say 'good luck.' So she hadn't forgotten. Well, nothing to do but tell the truth. "I believe the person Mrs. Wilons was referring to was... Danielle. She was the last person I took here but that was a while ago..." he trailed off, remembering the event with a frown.
Shaking his head he turned to respond to Amon's comment. "I do believe the last time we played together was a bit of a duel in the streets of the theater district. Though that had it's charms it would be nice to duet at one point, with a decent violin on hands too." He smiled at the memory as he turned to look at Ikuze, "I admit I was quite impressed with your skills."

Oh that street duet. Edelweiss remembered that, and even up to this day the memory still amused her enough to make her snicker. Let those lovebirds have a minute though - it was rare of Stephen to coo a girl, at least as far as Edelweiss knew of, and she wasn't oblivious to the point of missing -that-. Ikuze also seemed to be pretty in her element too.
So for the moment the redhead turned her attention towards the food menu and Amon. One table of distance was close enough for chatting, but still perfectly far away if the people it concerned were distracted with something else.

"...Danielle...?" thought Amon. Something about that name...ah whatever. There were better matters to attend to.
"So...what were you thinking of getting?" he asked Edel, taking a look through the menu.

"Thought so." said Ikuze when her theory was confirmed and she leaned back in her chair. "Although I must admit, pretty gutsy choosing the same place twice for two different dates... guessing you were hoping Mrs Wilson wasn't in eh?" she chuckled before she nodded at Stephen's recollection of that duel. "Aye, you were pretty good on the street yourself... for a nobleman with fancy teachers. Tell truth, I taught myself the guitar... after having some lessons in the lyre." she said, her old life rising up for the little mock job. "Think that was the first time we met as well. Shame the violin you "borrowed" was falling apart... I would have definitely won otherwise. You could see it in the audience's eyes." the thief smirked playfully. "You still got that by the way?"

It seemed hearing of 'Danielle' called Amon's attention as well, and to speak the truth the was these couple seconds when Edelweiss needed a large amount of willpower to not start snickering at that. But the talk of Danny wasn't also directed to her at the moment, and Amon didn't actually coment on it out loud, so she tried to keep her attention on the menu.
"Hmmm these shrimp rolls seem nice." She actually never had shrimp in a roll before, just something she never thought about asking for in a restaurant to taste, but it indeed sounded nice and this was a good chance so she just thought 'why not'. It's not like she'd be asking for sweet pastries for dinner, as much as she loves doughnuts and sweets in general those were to be kept for dessert or snacks. Actual meals required actual food. "What about you?"

"Sounds good..." replied Amon. "...Though I may go for calamari...or something meaty...like the fillet of beef..." he continued, a little indecisive.
"Though I must say...sorta surprised you didn't choose something sweet right off the bat..." Amon said in a teasing manner, giving a small smile.
