Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Tomer eyes shot open as a new person appeared. He looked the person up and down from his place on the ground , the person in question seems to have seen batters days with one eye. Dressed in black and a powerful grin "interesting , am only guessing you where sent here too by one with a mask " tomer asked as he stands up To meet this new person " from outset you look like you had a rough time in life, my good sir. Pardon my manners , I am a monk of Masaa , on a pilgrimage of knowledge in Lodan and to find the answer to better the city for peace. " the monk explained as he reached out his hand to shake the strangers hand. "I would give you my name but till Mr fox give out his name , I have to keep up my mask of truth else the power of knowing one's name can be as dangerous as beast of the wilds"

Oh, good, so he was another recruit. "Aye, what is it about everybody and not giving out names today? Oh well. The name's Tomcat. Nice to meet you, brother." Tom said, holding out his hand to shake. "Eh, life ain't so tough. Although, I'd imagine it would be, being a monk, with all that like... peace and self-restraint stuff." His comment was only in fun. He heard footsteps and turned to face the direction they were coming from. Someone was walking towards them, a blond who seemed to hold their posture high. "Well, do we have yet another recruit here? Fox man has been busy." Tom snickered.
Shoot. Seems like he had been seen. Which wasn’t hard, after all. His eyes glowed in the dark. Or well, until he reached the mansion, which had a sort of glow on its own. At being called a recruit, Sayvahn nearly choked. “Oh lord, no! I’m not a recruit. I’ve been a member for a year. Just, well, running to get something before the well- boss gets back.” The elder feline explained, hurriedly trotting up the steps and well, trying to ignore them both, only to pause at the top of the steps. He had a slight sinister idea— Lasair did enjoy giving a little speech at the top of the stairs. Should Sayvahn steal that from him? Or even more so, just invite the two in? One was a feline it seemed, the other, a monk he guessed? Best to stay away from that one. He had flirted with death many times, but it was best to not flirt with religion. That was a horrible mixture. Though, the feline did seem interesting— though that eye was gnarly. What a story it must hold— maybe he would stick around to talk to him about it. Hide in the shadows, and so forth. “Don’t follow me. The fox man has a little monologue he likes to give. I'd hate to ruin it.” Except he wouldn’t mind to ruin it, but well, it was better not to burn any more bridges. At least not so soon since the last one.

"Oooooh no brother, you ain't leaving us out here. Or me, out here, at least." Tom said, following the stranger up the steps. "It's cold, and I don't know about you but I'm not the most patient of folk." Then he mumbled to himself "And the more time between seeing Mr. Fox Man again the better." Tom assumed this was one of the members, then. How many were there? He crinkled his nose as he smelled hair soap mixed with some sort of... herbal substance? He couldn't be sure.
Tomer sighed , he had heard the other person come and was seemed to be on his way into the building , tomer guessed as much as he kept quiet while giving a grateful nod to the new stranger while Tom seemed to be annoyed and voiced his mind in a form of complaint "its only cold for your mind is not clear and calm, its find to me, a perfect nightly breeze, it keeps the mind fresh on this winters night even in this dark woods" he said as he sat back down and continued to meditate "come Tom sit down here with me , it will only be a short time and we can talk, I would be interested in hearing your story and how you ended up here " Tomer asked "an exchange of words and knowledge can be as warm as fire to anyone, it can unwind the anger and displeased like a ball of tangled string "
This was going to be difficult. Maybe. Oh goodness. “I advise against that but well, it seems like you’re coming out of your own volition so I guess it isn’t fully my fault.” Sayvahn muttered, although he was not going to hold the door open. Once inside, Sayvahn stretched a bit, though, still frowning when (and if) Tom followed him in. Well, being inside was one thing, but the man was a stranger to their home— or his old home. He wasn’t really quite sure where he fit in that regard. “Well, the time won’t matter much since well, you’re going to have to sit here. I highly doubt the…fox man would like you snooping around. So, why don’t you be a good boy and just, stand right there?” Sayvahn advised, putting a hand on his hip as he looked the man up and down.

As Lasair emerged from the woods, he was rather surprised to see the door to the guild open. Frowning, he hurried forward quickly, magic already tickling at his fingertips. The monk sat outside; a good decision, but the catboy seemed to be heading inside. He walked up the steps, only giving a slight nod to the monk before peering inside, seeing Sayvahn to the culprit. He sighed, figuring it might be better to avoid digging up that argument again, at least for now. “Good to see you,” he said gently before turning back towards the door. “Both of you can come inside. There’s some explaining that’s in order. Formalities if you will.”
Reaching up, he pulled the fox mask off of his head, revealing the bright orange hair as well as the face attached to it. “My name is Lasair, pleased to meet you both. I do believe mister Tom has given his name but you have withheld yours.” That second bit was spoken to the monk. Glancing back towards Sayvahn, Lasair wondered if he’d stick around for this or scamper off like it seemed he wanted to do. “The guild you’ve just been accepted into is known as Magicae Incolentium, a place where anders may seek refuge and find a safe haven.” Pausing in his introduction, he waited to see how the others around him would react now.

"Ah, looks like Mr. Fox man has returned at last!" Tom exclaimed as he saw the glistening gold mask head in their direction, and snickered. Mr. Fox man didn't look too happy about the door being opened - but he instructed them to go inside anyway. Tom was happy to oblige.
"Psh, lookit that hair." Tom said, genuinely surprised, when Mr. Fox man - or rather, Lasair, it seemed - removed his mask at last. "I would ask if the carpet matched the drapes, but I'm sure you get that a lot." He didn't say this in a flirtatious way, but rather, with a slight twinge of judgement stitched into his words. "Magicae Incolentium eh? Aye, sounds good."
The monk's words didn't seem to have reached tom as he still tried to get in the house , it was then the fox returned , giving him a nod as he went inside , tomer waited till he was called in as he stood up and began to walk the steps up into the house as he met the stranger fox and as well as the other 2 as the fox reviled his face , a male around his early 20s as tomer took a good look at him like an opened book. The man's hair was orange , an odd colour which tomer only at why it was but the man face show him a lot . As if he had been doing this for a while and he had taken responablity of his post as tomer could only guessed at his passed doings .
As the man spoke up and introduces himself as Lasair and the group name Magicae Incolentium. Tomer had got what he hoped to be the name so there was no more need to hide " trust works both ways so let me reintroduce myself , Mr Lasair " he said as he pulled out his pilgrimage scroll and handing it to lasair " my name is tomer , I am a monk from masaa who has learned under the guidance of my master , I have came here to Lodan in order to do 2 things, the 1st is to learn from this city and to expand my knowage to find the answer to life's question , I must do this within 10 years before I returning and giving my answer to then follow the same footsepts as my master has to become a master myself . The 2ed is as a spreader of peace , I must do all that is within my power to help this city become peaceful. Both in state wise and the people in the city " he explained as the scroll had all the details.
After the introduction let the air clear " as my attempt for an audience have been changed to joining your course , I would like to take this time to asking if I may to put in place terms of my time here " he added as he needed to make sure that he was not going to be used for any acts against anyone "for every person has right for what actions they do "
If the “good to see you” was directed toward Sayvahn, he did not reciprocate it. When the fox’s back was turned to him, the elder feline sighed, crossing his arms unhappily. Well, he was trapped now. But, the fox still had his pride, which was a plus for Sayvahn, since it was more likely Lasair would not bring up the past while in front of the current present. Faintly, the elder feline listened, learning quickly that the one eyed man’s name was Tom. Though, he couldn’t linger on that thought for long as Lasair glanced at him. Sayvahn returned the gaze with a cold one, which instantly broke when Tom spoke. Quickly Sayvahn tried to cover his mouth, but a single laugh had already escaped before he could cover it. Silently the older man snickered, curling over himself slightly at the thought. “I asked the same dam thing when I first came here.” He wheezed, recovering lightly to wipe away a few laughing tears. “You got spunk kid. I like you.” Sayvahn smiled, walking over to the younger feline as the monk gave his introductory speech. Placing his arm around Tom’s shoulder, Sayvahn leaned into his ear, lips curled into a seductive smile as he spoke, “And to answer your question— they do in fact, match.” Sayvahn purred, giving him one last pat and a smile before he drew away.

Tom seemed not to be paying attention to Tomer - although he had meant to. Instead his attention was directed to the blonde man who seemed to be having some sort of a laughing fit, and the darker haired feline raised an eyebrow, but a smile grew on his face once again as the man mentioned that he had said the same thing. Ah, a kindred spirit, then. But his confident face seemed to shatter like glass as the man grew close and whispered in his ear, and he jumped away on instinct, ending up in a crouch on the ground, sneering in an almost angry way. The only way he could seem more feline was if he had hissed.

Normally Lasair would have been amused by Tom’s question and how it mimicked Sayvahn. But given the current, well, tension between the two of them he merely gave a half-hearted laugh and turned to Tomer.
Waving his hand, Lasair chose not to accept the scroll. “I believe your words. As for placing your time, you tell me whether or not this seems like the place for you after formalities are over.” He then glanced back at Tom, surprised to see Sayvahn warming up to the boy already. He was a little less surprised to see Tom jump away from the actions. “Play nice you two,” he said in such a way that a parent would.
Turning, Lasair walked to the wall facing the entryway and gestured at a frame hanging on the wall. It sparkled like gold and held a sheet of paper within it. “Our guild is a secret, as I’m sure you can tell. There’s a few other details written here that I advise you read. Bend them if you must, break them without good cause and be ready to face the consequences.” The sheet itself (located >here<) was simple; it was the second rule that Lasair hoped Tom would pay the most attention to. The kid seemed rather…squirrelly, to put it nicely. He liked Tom, but hoped that he realized what kind of guild he found himself in.

Tom got to his feet as he listened to the man explain further. Curiously, he wandered towards the rules on the wall, his mind distracted from Sayvahn at the moment, and skimmed the page.
One: Preserve the guild's secrets.
This would be easy. If anyone was good at keeping things secret, it was Tom. And why would he want to give any knowledge of the guild to outsiders? It would in no way help the cause. And that's all he cared about, really. That, and enjoying himself.
Two: Treat magic with respect and use it responsibly
Tom only knew deceit, but he planned on learning poison as well. It was unlikely he would be able to use the latter inappropriately, and the former... Well, he would do what he had to. Didn't mean he could have some fun on the side. Didn't mean that anybody would have to know. As previously discussed, he was good at keeping things secret.
Three: Do not take life on behalf of the guild.
He only took life when he needed to. When it brought his cause forward. When they deserved it. When it made a statement. It was for him, and for his anderswelter brethren. He didn't do it often - but.... He was good at keeping things secret.
Four: Honor the guild's leaders, as well as the building itself.
... There was something he appreciated about the place. And for Mr. Fox man. It was unlikely he'd have any want to do otherwise. But you never know. If he had to, he would.
"Aye," he said with a grin, and turned to Lasair. "Sounds alright to me, Lassy."
Tomer was kinda surprised that they didn't want proof of identity as his Tomer's was guided to the board of rules , he remember his master said "rule force people's actions out of fear , but it's choosing to follow them or not makes the person true." He referenced out loud as he walked over
One: Preserve the guild's secrets.
"A man who hides secrets hides more then words , he hides more of himself with the words in order to hide the truth , I can not follow this rule , however I can choose to not talk about the guild outside of it walls as I can not lie but it's better not to speak of it then not be true, as you just seen I did with myself , mr fox" Tomer said as he moved on to the next one
Two: Treat magic with respect and use it responsibly
This one was odd , he had heard about magic but never see it before , maybe it would be a path he would be taking during his stay "interesting" he said as pointed to that one before moving to the next
Three: Do not take life on behalf of the guild.
"As long as this is in place you have agreed to one of my terms " tomer said as he pointed to the 3ed as he then move to the final one
Four: Honor the guild's leaders, as well as the building itself.
Tomer took the time to look over this rule before he spoke "this is a strange rule for such a place like this , honor is a concept of power, instead of respect which is a concept of mutually open and union among its people. Why is that ? Did in the past others in the group apposed the leaders? Or damaged the building? " tomer asked as he turned to them
"How people see you and how they see the building is all dependent of the person . Choosing to word what they see as their own opinion is not a crime per say but apart of all living beings natures, per say this old building is amazing and I like the grand works of the wood works but it follows the same style as what i have seen in Lodan , it was created to be effective and uniform" Tomer said as he rested on his staff "so if it's ok , I'll will respect you and the building , not honor , we are all equal after all"

Tom rolled his eye as Tomer read and responded to the rules. "Aye, what are you, a goddamned prophet?" He said, and smirked as he made his way over to the man, looking him over again, paying more attention to detail this time around. "You've been spouting philosophy all day. Is that what monks are trained to do? You don't gotta pick apart the writing that much. Honor and respect are synonyms. " He snickered, "Ah, no worries, brother, no worries." His eyes wandered to the man's pockets. "Well, would you look at that," He said, swiftly reaching in and pulling out a ruby Tomer seemed to have had in his pocket. Personal space was certainly not something Tomcat cared much about. "A ruby, eh?" He held up the back of his hand, where a sapphire was placed on his glove, and with the other hand, held up Tomer's ruby next to it. "We match."
