Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Nah. Metal Maw'll be fine... he's jus' gonna go nurse 'is 'urt pride. 'e'll be fine..." Danny tugged his scarf into place and continued on his way to the ship. "So, wha's Robo gotta do wit yer new relationship status with the Commander?" Danny snapped his head around to stare at Cait. "Was Rugoo yer girly tha' got caught by the coppers?" Danny shifted closer to Caitlin and whispered. "Is 'e 'oldin' Reebo 'ostage an' demandin' ya be seen wit' 'im?"
Levi continues his mid-afternoon jog through the streets, his chest heavy under the weight of deep breaths, but he doesn't stop until he reaches his spot. He runs at a wall, catching a loose stone with his foot-tip as he flings himself up, breaking the stone loose in the process of it all. He grabs onto the gutter, causing it to crinkle and bend under his weight but he doesn't care. He climbs onto the top of the roof, pulling himself up before shimming up on all fours to the flat top. He lays on the ceiling with his ankles cross and hands behind his head as he stares off into the sky. It felt good to be free, if only for a moment. The wind under my wings. Maybe they'll feel it too... he thinks to himself, before losing thought to counting the swirly things he can see in his eye.

She shook her head. "No it's nothing like that. She was the one caught breaking into the army barracks - not my idea by the way, was never my idea - but then I'm the one who leveraged her out by trading my time for her doing time. It's probably not on the books why she got out, but he made it happen, and since he came through on his end.... I got to come through on mine. All he asked me to do was be his sparring partner but..." Oh hell... did Danny know? about her background? "But I hate the sight of my own blood so I tricked him into going on a couples flight with me. It turned out pretty nice..."
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Of course the boy knew. The forest reveals all. "Ah... So Ringo's free now 'cause yer datin' the Commander?" Danny rolled his shoulders and continued walking in silence. "Sounds like yer some kinda favor dollymop..." Danny shrugged his shoulders and lapsed back into silence.

"Not at all," Caitlin grinned, "I'm exclusive." She pulled them aside to one of the market tents on the way away from the docks. "One sec, let me change clothes."
not sure what the goal is for moving fwd besides diving off an airship, are we regrouping or running two sep locations, or is this just Danny and Cait (as in Levi is exiting stage left?)

(( I guess we finish this up and regroup?))
Danny settled his scarf in place and rocked back and forth on his feet while he waited for the pirate queen to change. "Ya know, Caitie, I promised ya I'd show ya when I got it workin'... so if ya want, b'fore the jump, I can show ya why I was pickin' up the sword. Ya remember, righ'? Well, I figured it out an' got somethin' ta show fer it too!" Danny sounded a little too pleased with himself as he spoke. Who could blame him, though? He figured out instant access to a weapon anywhere, anytime.

That caught her attention, Caitlin poked her head out of the tent to look at the exuberant Danny. "Really? When can you show me? On the ship? If that's the case then, lets get to the sky harbor," She would worry about Levi later. Right now they had a date with the doves, and Danny had a secret to share. Caitlin picked up the pace and nearly ran the rest of the way to the tower after getting dressed. "What did you need the sword practice for?"

Danny raced after the pirate queen and followed her up the tower. As he stepped off the platform, he turned and grinned at her. Well... one could assume it was a grin from the movement of the eyes. Danny flourished his hand out and spoke in as theatrical a voice as he could. "Why, Miss Baron-Pirate! I'll show ya why I was workin' on swordplay an' whatnot." Danny slammed his hands together like a clap and a small shockwave of sickly purple and green light radiated out from the impact. He quickly pulled his hands apart as though one were a sheath and the other was gripping the hilt of a sword. From the center of the shockwave a blade began emerging. The weapon was a long heavy bladed one handed weapon with only a single cutting edge. The spine of the blade mirrored an actual spine, with vertibrae assembled along the length of it, and the steel itself looked more like it was rusted and stained with blood. Near the base of the blade there appeared flesh housing a constantly gnashing and gnawing mouth with razor sharp teeth protruding from beyond rotted lips. The steel itself was the rusted red of something permanently stained red with blood. The handle of the weapon looked like it was wrapped not with leather, but with a torn up grave shroud and at the bottom of the hilt, where the pommel stone would be, was a single eye that twitched and swiveled to glare at everything around it. "This is why I was workin' on gettin' ta use a sword. Can' make proper use'a this bad boy if I don' know how ta swing one'a them pig stickers."

Caitlin gasped! Ok that was disturbing, and impressive, all wrapped up in one freakishly magical weapon. The presentation was what could only be expected from someone like Danny. "How did you do that?" She asked, shocked, nearly speechless - and keeping her distance from the swivel eye'd living-dead weapon. She looked around quickly to make sure no one was watching them, then turned back to the boy and the boney creation. Not for the first time she wished she'd scooped him up for her own guild when she had the chance.

"Well, s'all 'bout understandin' whatcher workin' with. See, This thing ain' no different than makin' a skelly." Danny dismissed the weapon and snapped his fingers. After the snap, a purple-black glyph appeared on the ship's deck and out crawled a single undead skeleton. Before the creature could make any moves though, Danny snapped again severing the creature's link to the malignant sources powering it and causing it to collapse to the ground in an inanimate heap. "See, way ya look at is yer jus' redirectin' where ya wan' the energy ta go. With a deader, tha's big an' an easy target ta hit. Only drawback is ya gotta concentrate on keepin' it's energy from escapin'. Wit' a sword, or axe, or even a mace or hammer if tha's yer thing, ya don' gotta worry 'bout 'ow much damage it's doin' 'cause ya got perfect control of it. An' it expends less power than makin' a deader move, so ya get a longer use outta it. But it's a very delicate thing, an' ya gotta know exactly how ya wanna shape it b'fore ya start summonin' it or yer jus' gonna end up with a useless mess." Danny dusted his hands off and grinned at Caitlin. "Tell ya what. I'll give ya lessons if ya can find someone ta keep teachin' me sword fightin'. Yer busy, so I don' know why I was expectin' the Queen 'erself ta take time ta teach an urchin tha' ain' even one'a 'er folks. But now I got somethin' ta trade fer it."

That sounded like a fair deal, and wait till the next time her and Levi crossed blades, then if he decides to break another one of her slender blades (she doesn't like lifting the heavier broader swords) then she'll just whip up one of these Danny specials and watch his eyes pop! She couldn't help the grin that stretched across her face.
"Ok deal!" she beamed. "Now lets get some of those parachutes and catch some wind before the rain hits." She could smell it on the wind, and it only registered in her brain after she said the words. That made her hustle double-time to get them the gear they would need. "Um, Danny, any spot in particular you fancy falling over?"

"Uhhhh..." Danny thought for a moment then shrugged his shoulders. "You tell me where we're landin'. Jus' so ya know, we land in the woods an' I ain' doin' what I did last time. We're jus' gonna make a run fer the city." Danny began putting on the gear he was given. "Whaddya think 'bout landin' in the middle'a Central Square?" Danny winked at Caitlin as he mentioned the possible destination.

"I think one of them dandy's would shoot us out of the sky, perhaps the Leland senior fellow, who knows, just cause they might think its some kind of invasion." She shrugged, but really didn't feel like parachuting into her own back yard. Not with her papa watching and seeing that she's up to her old ways again. "How about over the Merchants district, then we can sell the gear once we're done with it, instead of hauling it back to the harbor?" Speaking of gear, she handed Danny some and showed him how to strap it on.

"A'right... sure. Merchant's place it is." Danny Finished strapping everything on and then tied his scarf in a knot so it wouldn't fly off. Lastly, he removed his hat and tucked it inside his jacket. The side effect of that is his blonde hair tumbled down around his shoulders. "So, ya wanna do the count off or want me to?" Danny brushed his hair out of his face as he waited for a reply.

They got on the vessel and one of her pirate navigators turned them toward the merchants district the second Danny agreed. Cait finished suiting up like Danny, then turned to answer. "You can if you would like, but wait a moment..." she stared out over the city and it was a beautiful sight, flying over the rooftops and looking down in between them to the streets. The manors fell back and gave way to businesses. It wasn't long before they were over the merchant districts main street. She turned to Danny and Nodded. "Ready?" Shea asked.
