Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Danny answered for them both and Cait gave a groan at what followed. She covered her face and tipped her head back to the sky for a moment. "hell, does everyone in this cursed city know about that? Is nothing secret anymore?" Course did they also know Cait had struck a deal with the commander to get Rava out of prison, giving the man her company in exchange for Rava's freedom? She uncovered her face and looked at them both, wondering.
The crowd below on the pier got bored with watching the three of them talk on deck so they dispersed and went back to their business. Caitlin put her hands on her hips and eyed them both weerily. "What else do you know?"
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
Levi snickers like a school-child. So she was a girl that always needed saving, hmm, the thought wasn't one that invaded him before, she was kinda-careless, even if she thought so or not. When Caitlin looked at him, hands on hip and in a powerful pose, he smiled at her before turning to Danny. "Yeah, suppose so. Say, where've you been chap? Care for me to take you to the tavern? I'll buy you a drink and get'cha a lady, or man. Whichever tickles your fanny." Levi knows he didn't say fancy, and he meant it as it looks back at Caitlin. "Having others boys save you all the time? OH, about other men, this rings bells for me. I heard the EIRAL captain, leader person was in love with you. Did some of my charm rub off?" he says, nudging the air as if it were Caity, offering a wink to go with it too.

"Eh, I'm in love with my work." Danny shrugged his shoulders. "Ain' got time for nothin' but makin' money so's I can eat." Danny pulled his scarf higher into place. "Anyways, what else do I know? Ya worked some mojo on Commander Skye tha' night in yer 'ouse, yer Daddy know's yer queen'a the pirates an' is tryin' ta reform ya, ya were gettin' in sweet-like wit' Willoughby Tavers afore 'e up an' disappeared. Lessee... I turned one'a yer girlies into a noble. Ikky, tha' was. More'n that I'ma keep to myself. Much as I like ya, gotta keep an ace in yer sleeve, yeh?" Danny waved his hand at Cait before looking at Levi again. "Careful there, lover boy... most'a the boyo's she ends up likin' don' get happy lives." Danny winked at Levi before clapping his hands. "Righ', anyways! Le's ferget this little tidbit, an' talk more 'bout that there sky-divin', yeh?"

Caitlin looked at Levi as he tried to take credit for her rubbing elbows with the leader of EIRALS. "You wish. More like I found you lacking and went after a real man to show me what it meant to be charmed," she flashed her teeth at him. While she stood there enjoying this little victory over their game of insults, Danny set to work answering her previous question.
However, the more and more Danny said, the brighter and brighter red Caitlin's face got, making her regret she ever asked.

Levi's eyebrows raise as she takes her shot. "Oohhmmm, I see. Does he know your secret? Just...curious." he says, the last word hanging on by a finger as Levi flashes a smile before turning to Danny. "It depends boy. I might jump again, I might not. I'll remember to bring you along if I do.." He turns to Caitlin, leaning back on his heels as he narrows his eyes and lets a small breath of air come out in a whistle of "Uh-oh" narrowing his eyes at her rosey cheeks. "Just for the record, if he was a real man, how come you're clothed from the peasent hovel?"

Her jaw dropped. "I'll take you sky diving sometime, Danny, you dont need him, I have the equipment anyway," she said, poking at levi. Then she turned on him like angry cat. "For the record, when I go out with the Commander, I don't dress like this," She seethed, regretting the costume now more than ever. Technically she'd only gone out with the commander once so far, and they did a little sky diving of their own, but no one was keeping tabs.
"But what does it matter to you what I wear - or don't wear" she raised an eyebrow suggestively at him "when I am with the Commander?" It was a bluff, but he couldn't know for sure.

Danny raised his hand over his head. "I like you no matter what you're wearing, or not wearing as the case may be." He nodded his head once before cackling gleefully. "So when are we divin', Caitie? An' does this mean I cna come an' visit ya on the ships whenever I want? C'mon, say yes? Please?" Danny was near bouncing with giddy joy as he spoke. He might have regretted it in the woods, but saving Cait had been one of the smartest things he'd ever done.
She's right, Levi didn't have any kind of word to put in the mix with what she did with him. He did, however threw up a small shrug with his shoulders, full of carelessness. He's been gone for awhile, and maybe she finally did get Levi-fever out of her head, but he doubted it, and either way he'd still put in the effort. He smiles at Danny. "She may own the ship and equipment, but I can get up there, obviously. A little more heart-racing when you know you shouldn't be there." Levi's eyes drag over to Caitlin's, glancing at her through his lashes for a moment before returning to Danny. "Or, have her take you. Just gives me more time to go find another pretty woman on the ship." Though that statement wasn't true. He'd lay on the rooftop of a building, staring into the air as he waits for them to come back, but he doesn't let it show. Couldn't let it show, no.

Cait smiled at Danny and nodded "Like I could keep you out anyway," She grinned. Besides, she owed him for a handful of reasons. Maybe now they'd be closer to even. Levi on the other hand....
She got rid of him for months.... and it was like he never left.
His words cut right into her. For someone so perfectly all wrong for her, his opinions matter way too much to her ego. His preoccupation with other women burned her up too. "Good. Glad I didn't wait around to see if I was right about you, glad I found someone else..." she bit back at him. She couldn't help it if it looked like some kind of lovers spat right in front of Danny. Then she took it maybe a step too far. "After the milk and honey of your voice, I don't know what those other women want with you, since you're such a lousy kisser."

"Yeh... pretty woman... sure." Danny rolled his eyes and laughed. "Jus' don' let'er get all caught up on yer metal. I can jus' imagine it... Next time I see ya, ya've got a lady friend stuck ta yer face 'cause she got caught on yer shiny bits." Danny snuffed his nose with his thumb and looked at Caitlin. "Ya really think I could get ta an airship without somebody stoppin' me? 'cause that's kinda flatterin'... but yer a lil old fer me."
Levi practically ignores Danny. He was right so there was no point to argue. "Wasn't sure about me? Does that mean you've been thinking about me for the time I was gone?" Levi raises his eyebrows as his lips form a straight line, curling at the end into a devilish smug grin. "You know, if you didn't storm off like a flustered girl, you may have found out. You gotta dig deeper if you ever wanna find out." His expressions flexes for a moment as he chuckles for a second. "But maybe a girl like you would rather spend your evenings with a fire close by, staring out the windows as your husband reads a book on taxidermy."

Any retort Cait had at the ready got stuck in the muck in her brain when she heard what Danny had to say. She visibly froze, mid word, her lips pursed together like she was about to say the word "you" but then ran out of steam. Her scalp got all tingly and her face even redder.
"Now Danny, I didn't mean you... not that you aren't a good looking kid, or as much of you as I ever seen under all those layers, I meant Commander Skye." She corrected, shifting her eyes pointedly at Levi. What was the point though? Did she expect that news to mean anything to Levi? For her words to have any kick at all he'd have to actually care first. He only cared enough to point out that she was destined to be a total boring old maid sitting by the fire, ignored by her husband who thought taxidermy was more interesting than she was. Flattering.
"Maybe, or maybe I'll be the sort who goes sky diving with her friends. C'mon Danny, no sense sitting around here flinging insults all day. Besides I want out of this stupid outfit." She waved her hand toward the ramp, as if to say "after you." She gave Danny a smile, but when she looked at Levi she gave him a scowl.

Danny settled his scarf into place with a small titter of a laugh. "S'all good. I don' show 'nuff skin fer anyone ta get a likin' fer me as is." He waggled his eyebrows as he started walking the way that was indicated. "Are ya sure it's a smart idea ta be leavin' Metal Maw back there? I mean, ya may be gettin' inta a couple rows, but 'e ain' all bad. An' 'e 'as gone skydivin' 'afore." Danny shoved his hands into his pockets as he walked and looked back over his shoulder at Levi. He glanced at Caitlin curiously as he continued his thoughts. "So you an' the Big Boss Man're a thing now? Last I saw of the two'a ya was jus' cordial chattin' at the Jubilee b'fore I visited Stevie. Somethin' 'appen b'tween then an' now?"
Levi stands there as the walk away, only turning his body to watch them go, and the scowl Caitlin gave him seared deep enough in his skin to leave a mark, and it showed as Levi looked down at his feet, placing his hand on his neck, kinda scratching it as he's at a loss of thoughts, but he doesn't wait for them to go down the ship, no. He ran towards the side of the boat, jumping up and placing his hands on the side of the water-logged wood as he king-konged over it, sailing through the air ONCE AGAIN as his cloak flies in the wind like a bad wing. He hits the ground hard, sending himself into a roll to displace the impact across his back instead of just his ankles. He looks back once before jogging down the pier, his boots hitting hard on the wood as he aims for land. Who knows what she'll think. Running off to another girl, pitying myself, drowning my sorrows...being an arse in public for the 'ell of it.

"Yeah, her name's Rava, Rava happened." Caitlin said ominously, but then her ire ran out. She realized she was throwing around her new arrangement with the Commander like it was a shield to dent on anyone's attempt to poke at her emotions. It wasn't fair to do that to the commander, just like it was never fair of her to prance around flinging her father title in other peoples faces as a kid. Caitlin sighed and turned around. Too late. There was a thunk! and she turned forward again to see Levi springing back to his feet and jogging down the pier.
"Honestly Danny, I was JUST about to swallow my pride and invite him to show us the ropes but now he's..." She looked confused, and a little disappointed he gave up so easily. She thought he was more of a fighter than that, but of course she was being childish. In front of other people who needed to see he as a leader, was not the right place to bicker. "Should we go after him?"
