Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Danny let her hand linger on Tyrell's chest for just a moment longer than was necessary. Her hand twitched just the tiniest bit, and she felt confident she could pass it off as just the man's imagination. She gave him one of the warmest smiles she could muster. "My name's Danielle. Pleasure to meet you, Ty." She leaned in close enough that nobody else could see her mouth and moved her lips without even speaking to form the words, "His real name is Stephen Leland. Don't let the others know, but if you're alone with him, I'm sure he won't mind." She brushed the man's hair out of his face and rested her hand on his forehead. She straightened up. "Well... you don't feel sick..." She crossed her arms over her chest and let out a small 'hmmmm...'
Ikuze had to chuckle at now Tyrell calling him Sourpuss as well. That and the reaction Danny was giving the bird man. "Trading up already? Aww, and here I thought you had your sights set on old Sourpuss." Ikuze asked with a smirk. She looked over at the winged bloke and got off the chair. "Here, you need this more than me. Besides, I'd like to see him put his money where his mouth is." said the thief as she glared at Stephen. "Round two." she said as she put out her hands for a new bracelet and watch.

Edelweiss didn't know what was it that Danielle was holding against Stephen, but even though she had the feeling it was an overreaction it wasn't her place to judge - unless things started to really turn violent, it would be better for the redhead to let those two solve their differences between themselves. "I think everyone in the room knows the name by now, but let him enjoy his nick (I think it was Ikuze who gave it to him)." Edelweiss whispered to her before retaking a normal tone of voice. "Well, would it do any good for me to try a stronger one? This bracelet seemed to work for me pretty finely already."
Meanwhile, Jasper was just taking off his second broken watch and rambling his thoughts out loud while waiting to pass onto the next one. "Feline, cat, muff, puss... stern, frowning, sour... Sourpuss!! It makes all sense now!" And he hit a fist against an open palm in a 'everything in clear' gesture. Nevermind that he might have got the meaning wrong still.
Epikuro is a halfling General (black-blooded) Ander and she has magic, but none that is elemental. In this present tread she has Haste and Hypnosis. And Jasper is a full-blooded Feline Ander, but he never learned any magic at all.

Stephen nodded, glad to see that Tyrell seemed to be regaining his heath. As Danny leaned forward to convey some message to Tyrell he narrowed his eyes, wondering what she was planning. At Ikuze's words he snapped his head up to give her a dull look. Must she always mess with him?! It was tempting to grab one of the strongest bracelets he had and slap that on her wrist. But hurting others physically was not his favorite thing to do so he refrained himself. He cleared his throat then picked up a steel/magnesium (str 2) bracelet and handed it to Ikuze "Put this on. And try no to faint on us again, alright?"
Turning his attention back to Epikuro and Jasper, he was astounded at he news of the watch working. "What? Really? It worked that fast?" Closer inspection proved that the watch was ticking away, completely intact. "It actually worked...." A huge grin appeared suddenly on his face. It worked! His theory had been right!!! Wait, wait, do not get to excited yet. One success did not mean that there would be more. Still, he could not stop the pleased chuckle escape his lips. "This is a glorious day! I will give you one other bracelet to try Miss Edel. But if it does not have the same successful results as before, I will mark down that original bracelet as your match." He stated in a chipper voice. Oh how he loved being right. "Ah, no such luck with your watch Mr. Japser? Here, let us boost the strength up a bit." Going back to the table, he returned with a solder/magnet (str 1) for Edel and a Pewter/mag (str 3) for the young boy. "Try this one on for size, Mr. Jasper. And here is your test bracelet Miss Edel." It was highly formal to address a child with a suffix but some kids liked that Stephen had noticed and he was in an extremely good mood at the moment.
Ikuze: Steel/magnesium bracelets increase Hypnosis immesnsly. I would like Steel/Magnisium (str 3) to work on you perfectly please Edel: Solder/magnet (str 1) has no success. Break the watch how you please only bodily discomfort is that you get cold temperature wise. Solder increases ice magic. Jasper: I want tin/zinc (str 1) to work for him. So break the watch. you choose if you want him to feel discomfort from the watch or not.

Danny's prolonged touch on his chest added to his slight discomfort but as he studied the movements of her lips, he related her touch as a sort of extended gesture. Danielle... Tyrell peered at her for long after that then blinked and shook his head. He didn't know her. No. "Uh, thank you very much, miss Danielle," he said softly then curiously eyed Stephen. Why would he be caught alone with this guy? For all he knew, this was the first and only time he would ever come across these people in such a large city. Did all these people know each other then? Was he an outsider in all of this? As he made a small glance around the whole room, it did seem that way. It was almost kind of nice. Now that the feeling had passed and he'd had a few of the sandwiches and drinks, he went to stand again and placed a hand on Stephen's shoulder to get his attention. "There are different magnets. Should I try another?"
Ikuze collected the bracelet and snapped it across her wrist before collecting a watch. "Hmph. Go under once and the bastard never lets ye forget it..." she muttered to herself before blinking as the watch... didn't stall. It just kept on ticking away. "Well, that's new." she said, as she held it up for Stephen to see. She then recalled an earlier part of the conversation, about their magic itself... a twisted little smirk twitched at her lips.
If this bracelet really did enhance her abilities... oh what could she make him do... Dance like a monkey maybe? Or cluck like a chicken for a few minutes? Maybe even get him to give Danny girl a passionate kiss? Nah, the thief thought to herself, that one would probably get me killed by the pair of them... hmm... although...
The thief looked towards Stephen with an all too innocent face. "Listen carefully Sourpuss," she said, lacing her words with her Hypnosis, "you're going to treat Danielle here to a night on the town to make up for whatever it is you've done to upset her. I'll leave the details up to you." finished Ikuze before throwing the girl a little wink. "That should cover it dont'cha think?" she asked with a little chuckle before looking at the bracelet. "Wonder if we get to keep these after this..."

Edelweiss removed the watch, then switched bracelets and put the same watch back on (it was working perfectly still so there was no reason to get a different one, right?). For a few seconds nothing unusual happened, but then she felt a shiver passing through her spine and her body feeling slightly colder than before. And to her surprise, instead of simply stopping ticking, the watch make an odd little malfunction noise and a spring sprung halfway through the glass, hanging there in a milder version of what happened to the first watch Tyrell had experimented. "Now this seems to have gotten worse than it did when I wore a watch without any bracelets. And it feels a little cold."
Jasper, on the other side, didn't show signs of anything different. The new watch broke exactly like the first did, gears friction-braking and springing out to get stuck somewhere. He did, though, suddenly clasp the bracelet and take it off his wrist with a pull along the broken watch. "Geez, I feel like I am being repeatedly stung by thousands of invisible tiny needles..." "Is that you way to say your arm fell asleep?" "Yeah." The redhead sighed. "At least it doesn't hurts."

Danielle looked at Ikuze with a lopsided grin. "Trading up? I'd have to be interested in someone first, right? I'm just trying to make a few friends... it's nice to have people all over the place you can count on." She gave Tyrell a mock bow as she straightened up and turned back to work. Danielle tossed her hair back behind her shoulder when she caught the news that the bracelet worked. "No way." She peered curiously as Ikuze started talking to Stephen. Her initial curiosity died quickly as she listened to the blue haired girl's words. "Nu-uh. No. Not happening." She folded her arms over her chest again and glared daggers at Ikuze. "You've got some funny ideas, Ikky. Just being nice to a guy doesn't mean anything, so I don't know why you're pushing this. But stop." She looked back at Stephen. "So where's the next band? First one didn't work at all."

Stephen jerked a little when Tyrell touched his shoulder. That was odd, it was like his touch sent a shock through his spin. Maybe the fellow was electrocuting him as punishment for the bracelet mishap. That was doubtful, the man did not seem like the revenge type. He nodded to Tyrell and gave him the once over, making sure he was okay. "Alright, If you are feeling better, try on Pewter (str 1). Do not push yourself, alright?" he said giving him a light pat on the back then pointed to the bracelet on the table.
He turned to Epikuro with a huge grin "Excellent, exactly as I suspected! I mean, I did not suspect that you would get cold or... Well, you get what I am saying. I will mark your perfect match down as Steel/magnesium (str 2)!" he said in an almost giddy voice. This was a breakthrough! It had seemed such an absurd idea at first but to think that it had actually worked!!! "Ah, no luck with your bracelet Mr. Jasper?" he asked as he scrawled down next to Epikuro's initials. "Here, try this tin/zinc (str 1). With luck there might be some improvement with that bracelet."
His attention was shifted over to Ikuze when he heard her odd tone. "Is the watch working as well?!?!" he asked with unkempt excitement, rushing over to her and grabbing her wrist, not really realizing what he was doing. Then she spoke about taking Danielle to dinner and his mind felt a little hazy. He looked into her eyes, enthralled by her words, still holding her wrist slightly "What a brilliant idea! Of course! I swear that I shall take her were ever she would like to go!" he said in a somewhat chipper, thoughtless voice. He wondered why that though had suddenly seemed so appealing. He dropped Ikuze's wrist and crossed his arms, tapping his finger against his bicep. What had he been thinking about before all of this? It must have had to do with taking Danielle to dinner. "I wonder if she likes fish..." he murmured, staring blankly at the wall as the haze fogging up his mind. All thoughts of his experiment were momentarily forgotten.
Tyrell: works slightly but it stalls every so often. no physical effect but you feel a tad bit lighter (it improves winged anders ability to fly faster) Jasper: works perfectly.

Tyrell looked to the bracelet he was instructed to use next but before deciding to put it on immediately, he surveillanced the conversations happening around him. The red haired woman and younger boy appeared to be off in their own little world for a moment but he was curious with how their experiments were going. Edel did not seem to be having too much trouble with her tests while the poor young boy seemed to struggling much like his first own watch did. The dark haired deaf's brows furrowed a bit but he smiled gently at them before turning back to the trio nearby. Their conversation was partly lost on him but he watched it curiously thinking it almost like a book he'd read when younger or a sort of play. From what he gathered it looks like Danielle and Stephen's issues had been resolved and that they would enjoy one another's company for an evening. Feeling that now he should return back to his work Tyrell took up the indicated Bracelet he should wear and strapped it on before taking up the watch. A sigh escaped him after as he thought about how sometimes he hated that he could not hear because then he could make conversation and listen. It was quite troublesome sometimes when he needed his eyes to look at something but he wanted to pay attention to something else entirely. These thoughts didn't come often and honestly didn't bother him as much as one would think but now he was focused on the watch. It appeared to work and for a moment he was hopeful but then it stalled for a bit. After another moment it continued on then stalled again, repeating this cycle several times. He himself felt a bit lighter though not in the sense he was light headed. There was just the sensation that perhaps he could fly faster than before if he tried, that he'd lost weight, just generally felt good. "I think I like this material better," he commented then looked to Stephen. "It is not working well but it is not breaking either," he gestured to the watch.

"Hey! Hello? Don't I get a say in this?" Danielle waved one o her hands to accentuate her words. "No means no. I'm not going out to dinner with anyone. So stop trying to push this, Ikky." She planted her hands on her hips with a scowl. "Alright. Give me the next band." Danielle's right foot began tap-tap-tapping on the floor as she looked around. Everyone else had a constant stream of bands to test, but she had only recieved the one...
Ikuze shrugs at Danny girl. "Hey, spell already took hold before you protested... aaaaand I think I'm outta juice, so can't undo it... Guess my temper earlier 'flared' up eh heh..." she said, rubbing the back of her neck a little, a bead of sweat running down the side of her face. She leaned in to whisper to Danny. "Besides... let's be honest here. When was the last time you really got to chow down on one of those noble gourmet meals huh?" asked the blue haired thief before shrugging. "Or you could find someone with some Hypnosis running in them to try and undo what I did. Your call... I'd take the dinner to be honest."

Stephen blinked when Tyrell talked "Sorry, What? Oh! Was this test more successful?" he walked over to him to examine the watch more "Excellent! Here, try Pewter/mag strength.... oh I would say about 3. I feel like that would work excellently for you." he said with an eager grin, making sure he was facing Tyrell so that he could be understood. After a moment he turned to the table and grabbed the bracelet and handed it to the winged Andersweltler.
"Danielle... do you possess any magical powers? That might be able to help me narrow down the options for you if you do." He studied her, trying to figure out what she might be if she had powers. After a moment he processed Ikuze's words and turned to her with a confused look "Wait.... what spell.... Did you put a hex on someone here?!" he glanced around the room, as if trying to look for some dark magic floating around in the air. It bothered him when people used magic around him and he did not know about it. If someone was casting spells he wanted to know who, what, where, when and why. Magic was fascinating. It was not fun when he did not get to see it in action.
Tyrell: works perfect. gives you a slightly greater increase in flight capabilities.

Danielle gritted her teeth as she replied to Ikuze, "Never. But I don't intend to start with a dinner from him." She brushed her hair out of her face when Stephen spoke about magic. "Me? Well... I'm pretty quick. I'm pretty sure I could outrun each and every one of you, so I guess I'm a Haste mage." Danielle crossed her arms over her chest as she bit her lower lip. When Stephen glanced around looking at the sky, she brought her hand up and rested her forehead in the palm of her hand. "Would you stop that? Magic isn't going to just be flying around your head like that. It's not all flashy and destructive." Danielle sighed softly to herself.

By now most conversations were completely lost on the deaf man but he was fine with it. In truth he was rather entertained with the simple scientific explorations but he looked up from the bracelet to look for Stephen's response. When it came, Tyrell stood there dumbfounded for a moment. He currently wore strength 1 but was told to skip the second to go to the third. This put him off because he was worried about the last number three he went with. Of course, if he was afraid to try it again he wouldn't have asked about other bracelets but at the same time he didn't want to vomit. Breaking away from his thoughts, he looked to the table again where the strength three rested and then he set the watch down, took of the current bracelet he wore, then placed it beside the watch. Taking up the destined bracelet, he placed it on as though his previous worries had disappeared then picked up the watch again. Tyrell stared at it long and hard for a moment waiting for it to stall or for him to feel sick but neither happened and once again he was dumbfounded. Again he felt lighter and he wondered if it was him or his wings. Like bits of ash falling from the sky, his wings began to deteriorate until they were nothing. The light feeling still lingered and he looked at the working watch curiously. Gripping it tightly in his hand, Tyrell moved toward the door then quietly left. When his wings appeared they first looked like shadowy tendrils emerging from his back before taking shape and solidifying. With the bracelet on, Tyrell took flight and to his amazement it felt different, faster, easier. The feeling that coursed through him was relatable to the first times he'd ever taken flight where there was a sense of freedom that could not be taken from him. He loved to fly but after flying so much it had lost that flare and this was refreshing to him. With a grand smile, he returned back to the house after a lap around the city and entered. "It works," he announced holding up the watch.
