Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Ikuze blinked at the mention of her hair. "Oi! My hair's always been blue! You got a problem with that?" she growled, glaring at the man, her hands sparking once again in her anger before Sourpuss made a remark about it as well being abnormal. "OI! I heard that! Let me show ye just how "weak" mah body is when mah fist goes so far doon yer throat, ye'll think ye're bein' rodgered in the prison showers!" she roared, her anger making her accent suddenly much thicker. She didn't seem to notice the change in her voice, but her hands did spark once more, almost as if hungry to set something alight, more than likely Sourpuss himself as she tried to get at him.

Stephen jerked when one of Ikuze's stray starks hit him in the arm. Queens, that smarted! "What is with you commoners and feeling the need to attack the moment you think someone is insulting you!" he snapped loudly rubbing his numb arm. Leave it to a girl to put a damper on his mood. Women these days. "There is NO need to get violent. Nobody here would get paid if you beat me unconscious." he glared at her unhappily. This girl was most definitely capable of beating him up. There was no way he was going to attack someone with Epikuro here and he had to right to attack her anyways; she had done no real wrong in his eyes and certainly he supposed he did deserve some punishment for knocking her out. But how was he to know that would happen! He had said there might be some risks involved in this experiment.
He took a deep breath, trying to collect himself again. "Please, just calm down. I apologize if I have insulted you in some way but attacking me is not in either of our best interests. May we please handle this situation like civilized people and not wild dogs."

Tyrell's brows furrowed as he focused on the darker clothed man's lips, grateful he'd obliged in removing the cover. When he was through explaining the experiment to them, his lilac eyes fell on the blue haired woman who had been unconscious when they arrived. If the experiments gave her headaches and made her pass out, could others react differently? Would interference with... what was it he said, PMEs...? Could it kill them? While the blue haired girl and "Sourpuss" (Such a peculiar name) bickered, Tyrell went to find a seat on the floor near the wall. "Are these experiments safe," he asked and again he looked to Stephen. "Will we have to perform any magics during the experiment? Does our magic even work with those things on us?" The last questions weren't because he was concerned but rather curious. If it was blocking PMEs, or their magic he guessed, would that inhibit them from casting entirely?

Stephen turned to the dark haired man, grateful for the distraction. "It is not life threatening to the best of my knowledge. To be safe I will be only using the lower magnetic force bracelets from here on out unless others consent to the use of the stronger ones.." Stephen was starting to like this chap; he asked all the right questions "As for blocking your powers, I am not sure yet. I would like to see if the wearer of the bracelet's magical abilities are blocked or enhanced. I believed that since the PME's are being collected in one specific area, the bracelet might work as a channel for your magical abilities- like a staff or wand I suppose. So it might intensify your magical abilities and would also help you better control them." he finished with a thoughtful nod.

The eyes of the dark haired ander were focused on Stephen's lips as they moved until they ceased to do so. He was satisfied with the information given to him but now he was curious with other questions but he would ask in a moment. Currently, his wings had been retracted so he could find this place and walk about the slums without incident but as it appeared that all in his company were of his own kind, Tyrell felt comfortable to let his wings span out from his back, fluttering before settling. One could see there was a noticeable relaxation in his features once the dark wings became present. "I have more questions," he spoke and rose. "How would these magnets affect different kinds of ...Andersweltlers? Winged ones and feline ones, or even general Anders. Will the magnets affect each of us differently you think? What about those who are full blooded verse those who are half blood? Also, what of those who use different magics? Fire, Ice, water, and necromancy might react differently to the magnets then say spirit walking, now? How would the magnets affect someone projecting their spirit do you think?" He had been intrigued by the idea of the magnets channeling power but he was not the sort to like to manipulate nature and so rather enjoyed what others would call "projection". His question about the different anders had also been a genuine one since a quick glance showed that he could potentially be the only one to bear wings. Of course, Tyrell didn't expect Stephen to have the answers, he only meant to aid in asking the questions that might benefit the both of them. "I'll try the magnets as high as I can tolerate," he offered after.

"It would indeed be good to know beforehand how it affects different Anders. Though I guess we make a varied group enough to check it now... I might be willing to try the stronger bracelets but depending on how the weaker ones go." Edel looked between Stephen and Ikuze once again, wondering if by the end of this experiment the lad would still be conscious... and pondering in the case he's not, it likely would be for a different reason than what knocked out the blue-haired girl before. "But considering the main point of it is allowing us to use technology, how will you test if it works?" There was the point to considerate, why would anyone risk the collateral effects for something that was not even being tested for its efficiency but by how much distress it caused on the wearer? So there must be a way to verify if those aforementioned bracelets worked for what they were intended.
"Naaay, your hair doesn't affect me for anything, lady. Just saying it's not common to see so was wondering if it was not natural." Jasper wiggled his legs while sitting, an ever so slight frown on his lips and taking off his beret to fan himself. Besides not wanting to give reasons to be beaten up by a girl like 'mother doesn't like bad boys', he was really wishing he had brought popcorn along him. He had a really slight accent too, almost unnoticeable, but different from the kind from the slums and lower classes of Lodan; probably came from or traveled somewhere else and picked up the entonation of some other dialect. "Sourpuss there has a point tho, let him pay us first, you can solve it after coins, yes?"

Stephen blinked in shock when the dark hair man suddenly had elegant black wings sprout from his back. It was rude to stare but they were just so... fascinating. This was the first time he had actually seen a winged Andersweltler openly display their wings. It threw him for a moment. He cleared his throat and tried his best not to look at his wings anymore as he responded, which was extremely difficult "So far I have only tested them on a feline human half breed and a general human half breed. So I am not sure of how it will effect a full Andersweltler or a winged Andersweltler. They might have a different effect since the feline human half breed that I tested it on had no side effects when worn. But this might also be because that half breed was more human than Andersweltler to begin with." The feline half breed he was talking about was of course himself but there was no way that he would tell these people that information. Some of them knew who he was and he did not want to flaunt this secret. A noble half breed was just unheard of. "I have not tested the magical capabilities on these bracelets so I unfortunately do not know the answer to that question. There are different metals in each bracelet so this might also vary the effect of each magic type's capabilities when wearing these bracelets. A good question to keep in mind as I am testing though."
Now to address Epikuro's question "The test on technology is that you will be wearing a watch the same time you put on a bracelet. Depending on the bracelets effectiveness, the watch will work properly without stall, work moderately or break. The tests so far have show improvement in the watches capabilities with the stronger the bracelet, a promising outcome." He said this information almost proudly. Except for the minor set backs of his test subject passing out on him, all was going in a promising direction from his point of view.
A pleased smile graced his lips when the winged Andersweltler and Epikuro offered themselves as possible subjects for the stronger bracelets "I appreciate your willingness to this test. If you do test with on of the stronger bracelets, if you feel any ill effect to your person I ask that you take the bracelets off immediately. I do not want anyone to get permanently harmed from these tests. Pardon me as I write some of these ideas that you brought up Mr... I apologize, where are my manners. Might I ask what you would like to be called sir?" he nodded to the winger Ander then to Epikuro and her guest "The same question is posed for you both as well." Of course he knew who Epikuro was but it was better to keep up appearances this way. Plus, he did not really want to get recognized anymore than he already had.
The thief glowered at Sourpuss before letting out a slow breath, trying to calm herself down. Her gut immediately growled, causing her to look down at the offending organ in surprise. "Oi! You just got fed not... er, actually how long was I out for? Nobody did anything to me whilst I was out of it did they?" asked Ikuze, glaring once more at Sourpuss before giving each male in the room the same glower.

The look he'd received from Stephen was surprising to say the least. In the small town he'd lived in and the towns he'd visited after, superstition ruled most and never once had someone looked on his black wings with amazement. It was refreshing but odd to him as well. His eyes followed Stephen's lips until the later turned to answer Edel leaving Tyrell to catch the moving lips of Ikuze. He blinked, then his brows furrowed, then he shifted from one foot to the other awkwardly. With a shake of his head, he shyly said, "no," knowing what she was implying with that glower. "I don't like girls," he might have said a bit bluntly. Truthfully, Tyrell wasn't a romantic in any sense so the thought of touching anyone set him into a weird emotion of discomfort. When Stephen turned back to him to inquire of his names, Tyrell took a second to register what he said then answered, "Tyrell. You can call me Tyrell or Tye. It is up to your preference. Whenever you'd like to begin, I am ready."

Stephen rolled his eye at Ikuze's comment "You were out for barely even a few minutes. Nobody would so any such things to you while you were out. Most people do not enjoy being skinned alive, which you most undoubtedly would do to your attacker. If you are still hungry you are permitted a few sandwiches but save some for the rest of my guests! I swear, you have a black hole for a stomach" he said with an annoyed huff. He turned back to everyone else "I have a few refreshments available. You are welcome to help yourselves" he gestured to the finger sandwich, biscuits and jam, and the cucumber water on the table behind him.
Stephen flicked his eyes thoughtfully over to Tyrell. So, he did not like girls. An intriguing thought. Why he found that so interesting was beyond him. Might have to do with the fact that women moderately scared him. Anyways, back to the task at hand. "Alright Tyrell, we are going to do a base test first. All that I will have you do is put on this wrist watch to see if it malfunctions- as it is expected to do." he gestured to one of the watches on the table. He would had the watch to him but that might effect the result of the experiment seeing how he was also part Andersweltler. "Oh, also, could everyone who is going to participate in this test please initial this paper?" he reached across the table and grabbed the pen and paper, extending it out to Tyrell first.
I'll tell you how I wish for the test results to happen down here Tyrell
I would like for the wrist watch to break once you put it on. It does not need to explode or anything that drastic but it can have a few springs pop out or something n_n I'll let you choose how it breaks.

Tyrell studied Stephen's lips again when the man turned back to him and spoke. When he was through, Tyrell took the opportunity to approach the table with the watches before he was stopped by the pen and papers presented to him. With a nod, and understanding of what was asked, he took the pen and initialized his name on the paper before handing it back. Now he stared at the watches as they lay there, spared a glance at Stephen, then picked one up gingerly. He hadn't even been able to place it on his wrist because as soon as he took into his hand, the watch began to wind fast until the glass popped out and the springs holding the hands shot out to droop from the watch in a comical spectacle. He quickly placed it down after and although it was known the watch would brake, he couldn't help but look to Stephen with guilt before profusely apologizing.
Stephen nodded once the paper was given back to him then handed it to Epikuro. After that, he turned to watch Tyrell take the watch. As expected it broke without much effort. No surprise there. What did surprise him was that he apologized for breaking the watch. Stephen grinned in amusement, actually somewhat pleased at the others politeness "No need to apologize, I expected that to happen. That is what I have him for" he gestured to Jack Breckenridge, his official watch repair man. "This one looks broken beyond repair though. I will keep it as a reminder of this days experiment" he said with a nod, taking the watch and pocketing it. "You are not hurt though, are you?" he asked with concern, studying the other mans hand.
I'll have Tyrell try on the copper/magnet (strength 1) bracelet. Watch wont break as much as it did before- might I add, splendid job on that. I rather enjoyed it- it just wont move it's hands, so it will just stall. No side effects with this bracelet. Electricity/Fire magic users will experience a slight boost in their power from this bracelet.

The dark haired man bit the inside of his bottom lip as he concentrated on Stephen's instructions. Hurt? He blinked then looked to his hand where he held the watch. The glass wasn't particularly thick so did not slice him too badly when it ruptured. That aside, the large man's fingers were calloused from performing many odd labor jobs so any cut he would have had would have been too shallow to draw blood. With a nod, he confirmed he was well then looked to another watch and the presented copper magnet. With as much caution before, he took the copper magnet and strapped it on carefully feeling it's weight around his wrist. An odd sensation crept up his spine and he felt a bit of shivers but he shrugged them off easily as he hesitantly when to grab the watch. At first he was fearful it would break like the one before but this time it wasn't so drastic. At first the watch appeared to struggle to tick on and as Tyrell watched, his brows furrowed. The thinnest of hands to tell the second of the minute was struggling most, it seemed incapable of telling its place in time and for a moment it was caught in limbo between going forward and backwards, though every one time it went backwards, the thin hand went forward twice, then back one again, then forward twice. He looked to Stephen to confirm if this was alright and did not fret over the magnet for he had no other side effects other than the sensation he experienced at first.

One knock. Two knocks. Three knocks. After the third knock, Danielle opened the door and walked inside. This was the right place, wasn't it? Anders were wanted and were getting paid for coming. It sounded fishy, but she was ready. The skills merchant made sure of that. She brushed her hands down the front of her frilled lilac blouse and dusted her hands on her grey trousers. "Hello? This the pl-" Danielle's question was interrupted as she stopped mid sentence and stared at the packed room. One, two, three, four, five. She knew all five of the people inside, which was a surprise. Danielle tucked a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear before she continued. "Is this the place for that was looking to pay Anders for some testing?" She remained near the doorway, but her vision was solely focussed on Stephen. Just her luck...
Ikuze blinked when Danny appeared next, before bursting into giggles. "Speak of the devil and she shall appear." she chuckled as she recalled an earlier conversation in this room before it got so crowded, her mood immediately lightening and her stomach surprisingly silenced despite not having touched any more of the food. "Yeah this is the place. Make sure you're sat down though when he brings out the higher powered stuff. Packs a whallop." advised the thief before looking towards Sourpuss, her face bearing a Cheshire grin as she leaned back in the chair. She mouthed the words Your Move towards him, folding her arms over her chest as she got ready to sit back and enjoy the show that was to come.
