Hey everyone!
Man, some crazy things are happening in the event. Speaking of, we'll be trying something a little bit differently this time around.
Looking back on the success of the Halloween mystery event waaaaaay back around 2013, I personally found that active, admin interaction to drive the plot forward made the story that much more exciting. While the "hang out" events of the past may still come back from time to time, I want to try to breathe some excitement back into these events. As such, we will be trying something different:
The event was made to allow you to RP by yourself.
Well, not entirely: you will technically RP with the Admin if you do so. At the time I created the event, I was in the middle of a busy time and wanted to still take part without slowing down the action. As such, this event was made to allow for solo actions to help tell your story of how you're surviving this crazy event.
Just a few things:
1) We will still try to gently push you to meet other people. This is an event after all. If we see that two peeps are close to each other, we'll try to push you two together to make a team (and a more proper RP).
2) If you are solo, again, you will be RP'ing with the Admin. As such, please be aware of how long your actions take with respect to other people.
Other than that, go have fun! This event was made for angst and to make you feel like a bad@$$. Besides, you guys have been earning points to get awesome skills, why not use them?
Speaking of...
Here is a review of the notes for the zombies:
- Zombie bites does not cause you to become a zombie. You are free to get as injured as you want without transforming. Actually dying might be a different matter...
- Zombies continue to look exactly like the living. No decaying here!
- Human-zombies cannot use Tech. Due to the amount of mana required to sustain these zombies, Ander-zombies do not have access to their Magic. They do however, still have access to their race abilities (i.e. flight) and their Combat abilities.
- If a character you brought back was a generally good person, the only thing they'll have full control of are their consciousness and their words. Otherwise, they will be actively attacking you (depending on the situation, the Admin may be hijacking their actions from time to time).
- If you want to bring back a character that was a generally bad/evil character, they have full control of their actions...for now...
There was one thing that I decided to not address: stats.
While I initially thought about having you guys submit stats for your zombies, I decided against it, as it would be a lot more work for the Admin and the players, and besides, it detract from the feeling of mowing down your enemies. I merely ask that you RP responsibly.
That being said, if you do decide to give your zombie stats, we will be enforcing it. That means if you accidentally make something way too strong, you will deal with the consequences of that decision...specifically, a really strong zombie.
There will be more surprises that may happen as the event unfolds, but those will be revealed in due time.
Has fun~
