Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
“Mala. Mala. Where are we going?” Boy no longer on back. Mala tired. But search. Sava asked to search. Corey, asked to search. Search search search. “Words. Repeat words.” Corey read words. Had found paper. Had clue. But party. Party? What party? Mala sniffed air. Coiled across ground. Searched along path. But paper. Hard to find. So many papers. But not right one. What look like? What taste? Pulled Corey to big building. “The castle? Why are we here?” Boy kept whining. Annoying. Why so loud? Why so flimsy? “Party.” How hard to get into building? Big walls. And gate. Not too hard. Climb. But Corey. Leave behind. “I don’t’ think we should be here. It’s the Queen’s estate. We could get killed.” “Party.” Mala repeated, attempting to climb the wall. “Mala, get down now. I don’t like this!” “Party.” Climbed. World, high. Body, tingled. Heart, raced. Exciting. Paper, paper, where?

The two were making their way to the city's edge, looking around here and there, still hoping for anything they could us. The two stopped once they made it to the city's edge, letting out a heavy sigh in the process. There didn't look to be anything they could use here... Turning around some the two began to make their way over to he MI headquarter.
Emelo began to think about where this gate might be. As he thought this over a small torn paper caught his eye. Looking up and over to it, Emelo bent down and picked it up, reading it over some only to let out a sigh.
"What's that?" Leo asked as he looked over his brothers shoulder, reading the small paper. "What is this?" Leo questioned as he read it over again, "This is useless, it's just the ad the skills merchant sends out. And its torn in half too." Leo said as he walked in front of his brother, "How is that supposed to help us?" He asked.
Emelo shrugged some as he looked at the paper, flipping it over to see the back. "I don't really know... I mean its not like the skills merchant ever sets up shop out here, the only thing I can think of is that he comes out here to teach some of the skills... Though I don't remember coming this far out here for that, and I sure don't remember there being a gate there..." Emelo said as he looked the paper over again, before folding it up and placing it in his pocket.
"Well... I guess we could stop over there after we go to the HQ..." Leo said, not really knowing what that paper was for, or why his brother was keeping it.

Looking around some Zona noticed a few sky ships off in the distance, one seemed to be docked where as the other was just off to the right. Looking around some Zona decided to check out one of the ships. Heading off to the right Zona thought it best to head to the one not at the dock, hopefully there wouldn't be as many people there.
Zona made her way over to the ship and got there in no time. Looking around some she kept and eye out for anyone who might see her. Once the coast was clear Zona landed and hid behind a set of barrels, pulling her wings in and hiding them from sight. Standing up some Zona looked around, not only for people but for a page. She vaguely wondered what kind of ship this was.

".... Alrighty then!" Sybille murmured to herself as the man who had come up to her disappeared. He had left a piece of paper in her hands, what she presumed to be a hint was scrawled across it. She twisted her mouth in an attempt to figure out what in the name of Davy Jones' Locker it meant... However, it sounded much to her as if it would be something familiar to her, so she headed off, determination guiding her steps. "To the seaside!"
The sand sloshed against tops of her boot-clad feet as she made her way onto the beaches. Did she have to swim in order to find it, she wondered? She hoped that if that was the case, it was in some sort of container. Soggy paper would be no good, now would it?

Amid the crowd watching Dominic's speech there was a redhead woman, arms crossed and staring up at him with a neutral expression. So the thing about those old pages was ressurfacing; judging by the fact that one had been found (if it was not a fake), then it must not be a myth afterall. Edelweiss didn't need the money. As strained as the economy currently is, it did take a toll on her living expenses - but not enough to cause a miserable need. Yet, although she didn't need the reward, she held the silent thought she needed to find those pages. Not to give them away, if anything she wanted to find them just so those Sons of Adam wouldn't.
"'Threat of the Ander kind' my butt. They're sons of another thing, that is..."
Another redhead, whom she knew relatively well, engaged on a discussion with Dominic whether the page found was true or not - and Edelweiss couldn't help the faint amused smile that grew on her lips while watching that. If she manages to find a page she deciced she'd read it instead. Or find someone who could. Find somewhere to keep it safe and stashed away. Lodan had far too many secrets, and while from one side she loved discovering them, on another side there were thing that weren't supposed to be known.
Anyway, it seemed that she was a bit late for the party, as her eyes scanning the crowd around could already find multiple people frantically looking for the infamous pieces of paper. Better start searching soon.
Eir looked in the trap door and there was nothing , she then wondered for a moment as she started to think what what else was made of wood in the threat and that was linked with guild’s celebrations, then it hit here as she made her way to nearest bar that service drinks that she know could be made of wood, it was a guess as she was careful seeking in.

Howl barely had time to even start looking around the theater district before a bird flew in front of him with a small piece of paper in its mouth. Actually it was the same small bird from this morning. Howl looked around to make sure no one was looking before he whispered "Oh hello again little bird. Let me take that." Howl watched as the bird flew off before reading the note. "Bees?" Howl said confused. Howl looked around confused. I can't get into the queens palace so, the vineyard? I guess I will head there. Howl made his was across the city looking at all the people helplessly looking at every scrap of paper. Howl felt good at have an actual place to look.
Howl arrived at the vineyard, he had been here only once a long time ago with his parents. He decided to start looking a bit off the path to see if there was any paper was stuck in some branch.

A small gust of wind blew, and looking down to shield her eyes from the sudden gale Edelweiss spotted a scrap of paper locked under her foot. Something was written on it... as for the 'source'... she seemed to be having fun with nothing till a moment ago. Suspicious indeed.
There were plenty of very guarded places in the city. Certain areas of her own guild were good examples. Then, there was a certain Library she only heard the whispers and rumours of and no one seemed to know where was. And also the EIRAL Barracks... None of those places were close to each other. She'd just have to check all till finding something, and by elimination process (not counting her own guild) the Barracks seemed like the easier path to visit first.

Although Sayvahn was content with staying on the sidelines, many people hustle and bustled passt him, even at one point in such a hurry that they ran right into him. Staggering back, Sayvahn raised a brow as the mustached man recovered, ushered an apology, but continued on his way. Apparently with the news, people not only lost their reasoning but their manners as well.
“My, perhaps it would have been better if I had stayed inside today.” Sayvahn mused aloud, taking a step, but stopped, a mass, now crumbled at his feet. Bending down, it appeared that the man had dropped something in his rush, an envelope, it seemed. Unfolding it, Sayvahn read the contents, then laughed. For Petes sake, this was an actual scavenger hunt— with hints and all. Perhaps this would be interesting after all. “Let’s see here.” Pushing up his glasses, Sayvahn hummed a slight tune as he read the subsequent note. Dirtiest part of city? Aside from the castle, he supposed the hovel would do. That or the EIRAL headquarters. Shame though. It meant parting from his guild leader’s side. But, the redhead was a big boy. He could take care of himself.
“Farewer dear. Play nice.” Ushering a wave he knew that the firefox could not see, Sayvahn sauntered his way into the hovel. Maybe there, he would find a note— that, or at least a cheap drink.
Scaled wall. Vines, bricks, hard against skin. But at top, paper. Similar to paper from before. Picked it up. Scribbles. Unable to read. But clue. Glanced down at Corey. Need him. Could read. Annoying, but could read.
Jumped down from top. Boy squeaked. Bad leg, gave out. Crumbled. Mala, caught; Mala held. Pushed paper into hands. Boy squeaked. “Get off me, don’t touch me!” Hushed. Boy noticed paper. Uncurled it. Stared. “What say?” Nudged boy. Boy read note. Flipped note. Spoke note. Mala, looked to wall. Need to climb again. To big building. To garden. To Magic. “Mala, I-I don’t want to go in there. Besides, I don’t even think we need to.” Looked to boy. Trembled in hands. Tall, but so fragile in hands. Young. Leaned close. He squeaked. Held onto him. Pushed toward wall.
“Mala, please, I don’t want to—“ Pressed against wall. Ushered for boy to climb. Eventually, did. Climbed together. The boy trembled. Water, from eyes. Tears. “I don’t want to.” Mala pushed. “Need to.” At top, Mala jumped down. Rolled, recovered. Turned to boy, frozen at top. Opened arms. “No, we don’t!” “Jump.” Boy didn’t. He clung to top, on knees. Unable to move. Mala climbed again; Mala dragged down. Boy, unable to scream. No attention. If noticed, in trouble. But Garden, simple. Soldiers, not. Be silent. Be stealthy. Hard, with boy, crying.
“Mala, please.” Crouched on ground. Scouted, then led to garden. Looked around. Sniffed. Magic. Look, sense, magic. Called for magic. So called. Called, undead. Brought forth. Maybe dead, could speak. Could tell, could show.

She saw a new note, and read it. It did look like a scavenger hunt now, as if someone was actually pulling the sctrings behind the scenes and making a game out of it. On her way to the Barracks she heard a train whistle, then found another note. Reading it, her eyebrows rose so much she for a second wondered if they'd fly off her face.
The page... was on a train? No, UNDER a train?
Oh well. Only way to know is checking, and hoping she can find non-suicidal methods for it. To the train station she goes.
Dead appeared. Little animal. Did nothing. Looked at it. Growled. Animal crumbled. “W-what was that? Y-you can do magic?” Boy asked. Glared. Took boy’s arm. “Page. Where page?” Boy staggered back. “I- I don’t know. Mala, you’re scaring me. Y-you summoned a skeleton.” “Page. Tell me. Page.” Boy fumbled. Tried to run. Mala jumped. Landed on boy. Tried to pull away. “Tell me.”Growled. Boy tried to claw away. “I-I don’t know. A-a graveyard maybe?” Graveyard. What is graveyard? “Show me.” Mala got off. Corey, breath haggard. Stumbled slightly, trembled. Mala scared. Tilted head. Pushed forward. Walked back. Climbed. Then Corey, Corey led. Took to graveyard. Mala, angry. In circles, in circles. Annoying, annoying. Corey, shaking. Boy, annoying. But now, now quiet. Mala sniffed air. Looked around. Right place, right place? Call dead? Call dead. Many voices. Many voices. Called, called. Show, show, show. Any sign. Lead, guide. Help.
Getting used to people’s stares was one of the many perks of having traveled to many parts of the world, yet often, it was more out of wonder or confusion rather than hatred. Sayvahn had to resist waving to the people, not out of mockery, but out of acknowledgment, or "Yes, I don’t belong here." But to offer a wave, to offer any sign of a slight chirp of “I’m just like you” when both knew that was the opposite was futile. He was of the middle class— although he hadn’t always been. Still, their stares were just, and he couldn’t hold any contempt for that. And then, a bird. How it had known of Sayvahn’s whereabouts, the feline couldn’t discern. Perhaps his guild leader was keeping an eye on him. He would have to talk to the red head about that later, if that was the case. Sighing, the feline read the next clue. Now, it just seemed that Lasair was behind this. Which frankly, irked Sayvahn.
“Blasted firefox.” An old house? That was like asking for a rusted needle in a scrapyard. But frankly, it spoke for itself. Oldest house? Easy to find, since there were so few left with the mortars. But, somewhere where it would be safe? Perhaps one with a cellar, which, if one thought about it, would reduce many of the houses in the district. “Well, let’s see firefox.” Glancing around once more, Sayvahn noted how the stares only seemed to persist with the appearance of the bird. “What happens first? Finding a page, or getting mugged?”

Leo was just about done looking for this page when they made it to the HQ. The two had been walking around for a bit of time now and all Leo could do now was kick at the dirt here and there. "I swear once we find this God drat page I'm going to burn it and dance on its drat ashes..." He said as he kicked at the dirt some, ready to flop down on the ground and take a nap.
"We have to be missing something..." Emelo said as he stopped for a moment and thought back to what the hints and notes said, pulling out the small torn paper with the skills written on it. He looked over the words, reading them out slowly in his head.
"What could we be missing, we are looking for a gate! Even if it is fallen on the ground how the hell could we miss something that big!" Leo said as he began to rant about not being able to find it, pacing back and forth some.
"Wait a minute..." Emelo mumbled as he scrambled to pull out the first hint paper. His eyes darted between both papers as he thought back to what the man said. "Grand gate... Fallen Gate.... Gating, study of portals......" Emelo mumbled as he stared at the papers. Looking up some he stared at the HQ. "I wonder..." He said as he began to walk towards the doors, pushing them open and walking inside.
Leo turned around just as his brother pushed the door open, "Hey! Where are you going?" He questioned as he darted after his brother. Catching up in no time Leo walked behind his twin, "I thought we were supposed to be looking around outside not in here." He said as the two made their way into the library.
"Ya we are but I'm just wondering something..." Emelo said as he set the papers down on a near by table, darting off Emelo looked at different shelves, grabbing a book here and there before setting them down on the table and heading off to get another set before finally sitting down, flipping a book open.
"What are you doing? This is no time to read... 'The history of Lodan'? What is this for?" Leo said as he looked at the books, all seeming to be the same kind of book.
"Open that up and start looking for a map." Emelo said as he quickly flipped though his book, eyes darting back and forth between the pages, "I think I know what we need to be looking for I just don't know where it is..." Emelo said as he stopped and looked at a page for a moment before flipping to the next one.
"Well isn't that the reason why we were walking around out there? I mean we were looking for a fallen gate." Leo said as he looked over at his brother, flipping though the book just like he said to do.
"I think we were looking for the wrong kind of gate. Think about it. We were looking for a grand gate. One that is no longer standing." Emelo said as he grabbed the papers and pointed to something, "Gates don't always come in the same form, and the skills merchant teaches Gating which-"
"Can also be a portal to something else. Ah..." Leo said as everything seemed to click, "We were looking for a gate that was never really there, hu. No wonder we couldn't find it."
"I thought if we could find a map then maybe that may show us were it popped up." Emelo said as he flipped through the book.
"Worth a shot..." Leo said as he too flipped though his book.

"dung..." Zona said as she hid back behind the barrel. She had just search the place up and down, nearly torn the place apart only to find out that the best thing this thing had was its barrels of wine that she was hiding behind now. Turning around some she looked at the barrel, should she bring some home with her? After all this stuff was good and she rarely ever came across this stuff... But she didn't have a bottle... With a huff she turned back around and her wings came back out, off to the other ship then. Taking to the skies Zona was at the other ship in no time and landed behind another set of barrels. Drawing her wings back in she hid behind the barrels for a moment before peeking her head out from the side. Maybe this was the ship... And with that she stood up some and did her best to blend in, looking the page as she went along.
