Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Heh, that sounds a little weird you know. Knowing all that stuff about people you don't know well?" He shrugged it off though and smiled as he bit around a mouthful of potato. After all, to him, it was just weird but nothing to worry over. Had he even been slightly aware of her actual professions then he would have cause to worry. But for now? He hadn't even thought twice passed that thought.
"Did he really? Huh, man, I'm so bad with keeping to my tasks though so I'm a bit surprised he thought I was. I only got buried in paperwork while Amon was gone, really. Other times, hardly. I don't mind it, it's just that I'd prefer doing other things." Anything. Like his instruments or teasing NK-5 or bothering Amon or cleaning even.

"Does it? Like I said though, interguild business is one of the leader's duties, so I can't really not know that kind of thing. I'm pretty sure Amon does too." She chuckled, taking a moment to eat some of her potato before it gets cold. "Makes me think I'll forever be in the 'weird' corner in your mind. Not that I can protest, maybe I am a bit weird afterall... and being too normal sounds a bit boring."
"Yes, he did, I think I had mentioned that before already. Another chuckle as the chatter topic went back to being 'Stephen'. "Can't blame you for the feeling about paperwork. I'm not overly fond of it either - though yes, it's necessary. Even if not entertaining."

"Well, it makes sense. Any people who make it to high up positions like that would obviously interact with others in similar positions, right? Whether they be enemy or friends... I guess it's just weird cause I never really thought about it? I mean, Amon's so reclusive--other people knowing about him and things I don't know about him is weird to me. Then again, I just don't know a lot of people well, so the fact that you know things about a lot of people is different for me. But that's also your job, right? Your district sees the most traffic I imagine." Half of his backed potato was gone by now, and his eyes were downcast at his food. Whether he seemed to be thinking or just spewing out whatever words popped to mind was anyone's guess.
"As for paperwork, entertaining is never the word I'd associate with it--unless you doodle on them." A small snerk left him as he recalled some of the silly doodles he'd drawn--oh no, oh nonono, some of those were on Amon's papers. Suddenly he felt sick. That was okay, he could always deny it if questioned, right? Right. No worries. "So, uh, Edel, have you ever been outside of Lodan?"

"That's true, he is." Edelweiss agreed with a chuckle, Amon was one of the most reclusive people she knew (only losing to Danny), but she liked to know about him, at least as much as he knew about her. "Hmm, I'm not 100% sure my District is the one that sees the most traffic, but we do see -a lot- of traffic so I'll give you that. And the best way of knowing about someone is asking questions, like you're asking to me." She pondered still with a bit of a smile, before focusing on his actual question. "Outside of the city, yes, a few times for business reasons though I've yet to find any time to go out for my own leisure. Outside of the country, no, I never went anywhere that far. And you?"

"Well, think about it. The Merchant's district sees a lot of traffic but only because people need something. They get what they need and then they leave. The Central Square is where most people live. The Hovel is also where people live but most others don't go there 'cause of its condition. Then you have your district where control and people actually want to be there. It's not an obligation or a necessity at all. I think it's kind of nice, really." Almost half of his potato was gone by now since he ate and talked at the same time. "But you're right, yeah. Best way to learn is to ask questions. So, you've never left Lodan the country? Huh. Yeah, I have a couple times but no where drastic. I think it's quite interestin' really--smashing. Culture outside of our own is so different."

"...Fair enough. You're right on that." Edelweiss admitted with a snicker as Viktor listed his arguments on the Theater District's traffic income. Her own food had mostly disappeared from the plate by now as well, but she was content with sipping her tea at leisure pace while chatting; it felt rather relaxing. "Where have you been outside of Lodan then? Any amusing stories to tell?"

"We went to Sveden once when I was younger then I went a couple times to Bulrush--not a place I would recommend. Anywhere you walk feels like you'll get shanked and it's not a very good vacation place but I had to go for my uncle. And then there was a time where I went to Masaa with this uh, with my friend," his voice lowered to into a mutter as he lifted his hand to cover his mouth, expelling a cough or two a moment later. The tips of his ears seemed a bit redder but otherwise he seemed alright. "Is there any place you'd want to go, Edel?"

As Viktor's face (and ears) seemed to be turning radioactive levels of red due to his own memories, Edelweiss just watched and listened with a soft faint smile on her lips. She could guess what had caused him to blush so much from his hesitating mention of a 'friend', but it wasn't in her right to pry and she didn't want to risk making him feel uncomfortable. "Sounds like a nice time."
Then Viktor asked her if there was anywhere she'd want to go, and the redhead could only shrug and give a bit of an awkward smile. "I'd like to travel, but have to admit a specific destination isn't something I've thought of. Somewhere quieter than this city would be nice for a change - clearer skies and new scenery. Other than that though... not much comes to mind."

"Yeah, it was. Hey, you should go there," he offered with a grin then shrugged. "Few places are really calm, sadly. Every place has its own struggles though a place like that would be nice. Hey, maybe the countryside would suit you better? It's always quiet out there--too quiet. And less advanced. It's like going back to a third world country sometimes," he sighed and sank in his seat.

"Do you mean Masaa? Or Bulrush?" She asked with a soft chuckle when Viktor commented she should "go there", then it became a smaller yet light smile at the mention of the countryside.
"For a visit, maybe. Don't get me wrong, I love the city - it's just overwhelming sometimes." If she didn't love Lodan she'd have already moved out many years ago. "So wherever I go, I probably would yearn for home again soon or later. There are stressing things here, but everything I love too, so the balance tips the other side. For a small trip though, I guess anywhere can be a little heaven if we're lucky (and in good company)."
