Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"We'll get her back." The redhead stated, lightly patting Eryn's head before nodding to Elaine's last comment and turning back to talk to the only informant who remained near them: "J, show the way." The lad just gave a quick nod, turned on his heels and started running, once in a while glancing back to make sure the group of assassins would still be following him. As all of them moved, he started a more detailed report on what had happened, word by word: Pierre and Gus bringing Zona to a sort of hotel room and tying her to a chair, her waking up, the threats and hints of the blue-haired gal's past, how she kicked Cyran's head, then him impaling her leg and her screaming. When finished telling everything, the building they were heading to was already in sight.
"We have taken quite a few of them now." Edelweiss pondered in response to Jasper when he asked if they had a plan. "If they value their companions even a bit, we should be able to make an exchange - and if they don't... we default to dying the floor red with them again."

Zona huffed some as Cyran laughed, blood pouring from her leg, she needed to get out of this... She would be out soon, she was losing too much blood. Cyran walked over to the window as he smiled, "So, would you like another missing leg or shall we work with one of those wings?" He said as he stared out and up at the sky, "You know... I've always hated you and your kind the most..." He began to ramble as he stared out the window, ignoring Zona. Zona huffed again as she looked down at her leg, she couldn't believe this was happening... She was going to die here wasn't she... Would she die here? No. No she wouldn't and she would make sure Cyran paid for what he did to her family and to her. He was going to pay...
With where Pierre and Melvan were Zona was able to wiggle her hand out of one of the cuffs that was attached to the chair, she looked up here and there to make sure Cyran wasn't turning around and lucky for her he seemed to have noticed something off in the distance, giving her plenty of time to get her other hand free. "What is that... Pierre come here and see this..." Cyran said as he got closer to the glass. He had notice a small group on the other side of the street, it began to worry him. Zona froze as Pierre walked over to the window, he seemed to have ignored her as well, which she was once again fine with. Looking over some Zona saw where her cost was and next to it her bow and quiver of arrows, they had taken that from her at the beginning of this whole ordeal and she didn't even know it. If only she could get to them...
"That group seems familiar..." Pierre said as he took a step closer to the window realizing who it was, "Ah... That was the group she was with. The one who seemed to off nearly all of our men." Pierre added as he began to turn around only to be stopped by a hand on the side of his face, "Look close! Are you sure those are the same ones?" Cyran asked as he stared at the group, "Melvan go and send Gus and Bruce to handle them!" Cyran called out. He knew the two of them were strong but they could barely hold their own when he had all his men fighting against them, and if this group could take down nearly all of his men then those two were the next easiest to kill. Melvan and Pierre could hold their own but still... He would rather have this dealt with outside rather than in here.
Bruce and Gus did as they were told and went outside, ready to fight. The two walked up to the group and said nothing, they just looked at one another before looking back at the group. Gus took a step forward while Bruce crossed his arms over his chest in the background, "I'm sorry but you guys need to leave..." Gus said in a rather child like voice as he clutched the stuffed animal in his hands, "Mr. Cyran doesn't like you guys... So please go..." He added as he rubbed one of his eyes some, it seemed to be passed his nap time.
Melvan nodded as he walked over to the door, opened it and left. Good, she wouldn't need to worry about him for now. Creeping forward some, Zona somehow managed to get to the front of the chair without making a sound, though her breathing did increase some and her vision was beginning to go. Taking one last look at Pierre and Cyran she dove at her bow, just as the two were beginning to turn around. With bow in hand Zona grabbed and arrow and shot it (Bows II used). Due to her blurring vision the arrow went on a different path, bouncing off something and landing itself in the wall behind Cyran, "You little rat you..." Cyran said as his fist balled up, "I was going to make this fast due to them but now..." He said as he grabbed at the arrow behind his back, Zona grabbing for another arrow at the same time, "This will be slow and painful!" He shouted as he ripped the arrow from the wall, throwing it at her (TW II used) Zona had somehow laced the arrow and shot it at the same time Cyran threw his, causing the two identical object to fly past one another (Bows III used) Zona just happened to move to the right some as the arrow came at her, lodging itself into her left shoulder, just under the collar bone, Cyran however wasn't so lucky. His arrow lodge itself directly in between his eyes right in the center of his forehead. He stood there stunned for a moment as he stared at the girl, only to see her mouth the words, 'Rot. In. Hell.' before falling to his knees and then to the ground. He couldn't believe it... The kind he fought so hard against to get the land that was rightfully his... He lost to her, a winged ander.
Pierre stood there shocked for a moment as he watched a pool of blood slowly form around Cyran's head. Looking over to Zona he saw her with yet another arrow laced, and ready to go, aimed at him. Just as she was ready to fire Melvan came back into the room, "How quiet can two men be?..." He questioned as he looked up, noticing Zona was gone from her chair, Pierre standing in one place shocked, and Cyran lying dead on the floor. "What the hell happened here?!" He questioned as he took a few steps in, not seeing Zona by the door with and arrow now pointed at him. Pierre moved quickly as he grabbed Melvan and looked towards the window, "Don't think this is the end..." He said before running at the window and jumping out of it, shattering the glass in the process. He landed on roof top across from where they were before he sped off with Melvan in his arm (Speed III or IV used (I don't remember which one it is...)). Zona stared out the window for a moment before letting out a small smirk, "...yes..." She mumbled before falling over and blacking out. She was done...

Edelweiss saw two figures ready to face them, two of the ones J had mentioned. But none of them had Zona, and they didn't have time for dealing with underlings - let them taste some of their own tricks as the redhead used it against them. "Pass out." [Deceit II casted twice, 2 level II casts remaining] She stepped over the larger man's throat while passing, and then kept running. This left the younger boy for Elaine, Jasper and Eryn to deal with. Personally, the redhead would prefer the kid alive. He was sent to fight them, so might be useful at some point - or in last case they could remove his memories and send him to an orphanage - but they were in a hurry and Zona was more important than an unknown opponent so she wouldn't fret too much if one of the others decides not to be so kind.
A duo jumped off the window, shedding a shower of glass shards above. Edelweiss didn't care about them at the moment, though she knew later she probably would. Presently, she entered the building at her top speed and focused on finding Zona.

Elaine chased after her leader and the other assassin leading them. Her feet fell with even pace and she easily kept on their heels. But she skidded to a halt as they came up to the boy and the man. Before her or the others could say anything Edelweiss had the larger man covered. And she winced a bit as her leader used him as a doormat, he may still be alive right? Probably not. The boy however, as small as he may have been, Elaine wasn't about to underestimate him. Instead she stepped forwards as her leader bolted and called out in a sweet voice, "Hey sweetheart, aren't you tired? Why don't you sleep?" She laced her words with a little deceit. (Deceit I used, 3 casts remaining) She stood tense waiting for any unwanted response from the child. Her green gaze flicked back and forth from him to Edel's back as she ran into the building where Zona was reported to be. That was until she heard glass breaking. She watched the crystalline shards rain down as the two men ran off. A low, stifled hiss of disappointment and anger escaped her throat as she felt the twitch in her legs to begin a chase. But there was no time for that, Zona was their mission and it was unbearably clear that her captors didn't intend to fight back as foolishly as they did before.
Eryn followed behind Edelweiss , she was more worried about Zona then the kid that was there , or the 2 who jumped out the building. Eryn know something was wrong as she started to smell blood. she didnt know who's it was but she hoped it was not Zona's.
Livna followed behind Eryn but as the 2 men jumped out , Livna cut away from Eryn and chased after the 2, she know it was a bad idea but if no one was going to do it , she would . she could handle herself if anything happened and she know Eryn would follow suit after her sooner or later in her footsteps.

Keeping in step with his leader and other two guildmates, Jasper made his to the building Zona was being held in - only stopping momentarily to leap over the unconscious pair his acquaintances left behind themselves. The sound of breaking glass instantly called his attention and he watched as Eryn's silver-haired double broke from the group to chase after the men who escaped through one of the building's window. For a moment, the slightest moment, a one-hundredth of a nanosecond, the thought of following her crossed his mind. His legs, however, kept on the path. Right now, Zona was more important than anything around him. To him, she was more than just a friend, or a member of his assassin family; she had been almost literally the first person he'd met when he came to Lodan, there was no way that he'd let someone hurt her. Not in this world or the next.

"Umm... Pierre..." Melvan said as he saw some girl following them. Pierre looked over his shoulder for just a moment, "Oh this will not do... Not do at all..." He said as he looked forward again. "I got her." Melvan said as he jumped from the mans grasp and began to run next to him, only to turn around and back-run besides him. Holding his hands up to his mouth, a large stream of fire came from Melvan's mouth, making it seem as though he was breathing fire.(Pryo IV used) The flames hit nearly everything on the roof as he shook his head from side to side. There was no way anyone would get through unless they wanted to get burned, but even if they did run though it the two would be gone. Pierre grabbed Melvan and sped off.(Speed II used) With where the fire happened it seemed the two could have had several escape options; One, they jumped over to the next building and ran off. Two, they jumped down into the alley way and went either right of left, disappearing down one of the streets. Three, they jumped into one of the open windows that lay on both buildings of the alleyway. Four, they jumped down and escaped into the sewers and were running off underneath the city. No matter what they choose they knew they would not be followed. They weren't going to be caught.
Bruce fell for the woman's deceit as he tumbled backwards, landing hard and smacking his head onto a loose piece of the pavement, splitting the back of it in two. Blood slowly began to line the cracks in the pavement, Gus just stared at the man for a moment before looking back up to the woman. "No... I'm not tired..." He said with a yawn. Her move only half worked on him, the sleepy feeling he already had so the deceit didn't work, and considering his child-like behavior, he would never go to bed when told. As the group ran past him, Gus turned around and narrowed his eyes at them, "I told you people to leave!" He shouted as he pulled out what seemed to be a small 5 inch round sphere from the bears back and threw it at the group (TW III used) The balled landed with a thud in front of the group, cracking the pavement underneath of it. Taking a step forward he threw his hand onto the ground and created two large hole big enough for at least one of these people to fall into.(Terramancy III used 2 times) As the boy stood back up he grabbed another weighted ball out from the back of his bear, He gripped it hard as he threw the ball at the woman who told him to go to bed.(TW III used) He didn't like that...
Zona lay there still on the floor. She was surrounded by a sea of darkness, and all she could do was swim, to where she had no idea but she did know she needed to swim. If she stopped... No. She couldn't, wouldn't stop. She needed to keep moving. But... It was getting so hard. The water was thick and dense, just like blood, but as clear as untouched spring water. Though it may be clear the darkness continued even under the water, it got thicker and heavier the longer she swam. She needed to stop, to rest. Just for a moment... Her body lay still and un-moving. From a far she looked to be gone, almost as if she left this world for another, even up close she looked to be the same. Still. No moving, no breathing, no beating. No. But upon closer inspection once, literally, on top of the girl, could the slightest rise and fall of the chest be seen. A twinge of a moving nerve. A heated breeze that just barely came out from her mouth. She was still there.

Elaine had a brief moment where a look of 'are-you-serious' cross her face as the child refused her deceit and started to attack. She was quickly growing tired of these shenanigans. "Eryn move!" She shouted as he threw something. The ground under her feet cracked on impact and she stumbled a bit. "I am never having kids!" She hissed to herself. She skirted back a few steps trying to look where she was going and keep an eye on the child. Luck was running out for the girl. Looking up just in time to see him throw one of the explosives in her direction. Drat.... She raised her arms defensively and tried to scoot back as far as she could, the ball landing at her feet instead of full on hitting her. The blast knocked her off her feet and she hit the ground hard. There was a loud ringing noise in her ears and she couldn't hear anything, save for her own muffled groan as she rolled onto her back. Everything hurt. She laid there trying to regain the breath that had been knocked from her lungs.
Part of her was trying to figure out if he had harmed Eryn or Jasper, because she vaguely remembered they were nearby. She twitched on the ground trying to move as her hearing began to return and the ring started to fade. She hissed, she was furious. The more she recovered the angrier she got. Alright kid, two can play this game. Elaine went limp as a mirror image of herself appeared and marched off in the hazy smoke. (Projection II used once) It wandered around to stand behind the child, it's feet making no sounds. "I thought I told you to go to bed." She snarled behind him, scolding him in a way. She had just a few seconds before the smoke would clear and he would be able to see her body. Maybe he would think she was a ghost, one could only wish. "You will go to your room." The apparition crossed her arms. "I am very angry with you. I am very, very cross!" This child couldn't be over ten years old, maybe not even eight. False Elaine stared down at him narrowing her eyes disdainfully. She had to get that bear away from him. It was time for a little double play. 'Throw another one of those things at me! I dare you brat!' She thought feeling her false body tense and she lowered her arms clenching her fists.
Livna was taken by surprise as the fire came from the men who she was chasing , never the less her momentum mean she could not just stop so she dashed through the fire as she quickly covered her face with her arm. but when she made it through they men where gone "dam it , where did they go " Livna said as she quickly brushed the fire out on her skirt and healed any burns she had taken using Health I, she looked around as much as she could but they could not be seen. she decided to head back knowing there was not much point to continue without a trail to follow.
Eryn quickly heard Elaine shout to her as she reacted with speed II and jumped to the side as 2 big holes opens up close to her from the ground as she span around and recovered. as she looked around to see that Elaine had been hit by a balled thing with some force, Eryn's eyes locked on to boy which not had a odd looking Elaine who had said a few words. the boy was about Eryn's size and seemed to be with the group that attacked them before. Eryn quickly pulled out another one of her ropes and hooks , she quickly re-casts speed II and with the bust of speed she Ran over to the boy , hooked the rope on the back of his clothes and ran around him as meany times as she could before her cast ran out , effectually tying up the boy "please stop, I don't want to hurt you like I did to the nasty men , you can change to be a good boy, please understand " Remember what Edelweiss had talked to her. that anyone can be changed.

"Ha!" Gus laughed in a voice that would have never come from such a small boy. It sounded almost like a full grown man had made that noise, almost like it came from Bruce, but all knew that couldn't have come from him. Gus stood there with a twisted smile on his face, though he may have been bound and tied up by the girl, he still had a trick up his sleeve. "You think you can tell me to go to my room? Ha! And you call me boy?" He said in the same voice as the laugh, a deep and somewhat low one. "How dare you two talk down to me like that. You have no right to talk to your elders like that." He said as his claws worked at the ropes some, snapping a few but nothing big enough for it to help or be noticed. "Besides what your doing here is pointless... the girl your after is most likely dead by now, that is if she hasn't bleed to death first." He said with a smile as he shrugged his shoulders some. He knew something bad happened it Pierre and Melvan ran off without Cyran, but that didn't mean he couldn't stall this group long enough for the girl to die on her own. "Now..." He began as he snapped another rope, one more should do it... "Let me go and get out of here before I get mad." He said as he snapped the last bit and the rope fell to his feet. He jumped forward some away from the two, giving himself some space to think of something. Anything to keep them here.

Before he knew it, Jasper's feet had left the ground, as had the rest of his body. Explosive or not, the abruptness of the pavement-shattering impact was enough to send the blue-haired feline flying headfirst into a nearby dumpster. He crashed into the broad side of the metal container with a startling bang and several faint yet still audible pops. Luckily, the noises were worse than the actual damage and the assassin was back up with a few pained groans.
"Ugh, ouch that hurt." He grumbled, massaging his neck with both hands before turning to face his toddler-sized assailant with a look a inquiry - less of a why-would-you-do-that glace and more along the lines of how-can-I-stop-you-from-doing-that. He watched as Eryn tied the boy up but didn't drop his guard; he wasn't entirely sure that the boy was no longer a threat, and when he cut loose, the assassin was all the more certain he was. "What makes you tick?" Jasper thought silently, staring at the boy all the while. If he could figure that out, he could be practically assured his spell would work and this fight would be over before it really began.
After another few precious seconds passed, the juggler decided it would be best that he do something - anything - instead of just sitting around and letting his teammates take the brunt of the attack. He pursed his lips and whistled a deceit-laden tune. The first notes to fall from his lips were solemn, almost mournful. The next phrase, though similar to the first, was dark and heavy. It was a song fit for a funeral. No, the notes that left his mouth were the song fit for a funeral - Choplin's renowned "Funeral March." Beneath the grim melody was a tragic suggestion spoken by a cacophony of despondent voices all crying with one purpose: to confuse and distract their foe. (Deceit I used)

Stairs, corridors, rooms. Everything normal up to now except: no Zonas detected inside. Tremors coming from outside must mean Elaine and Jasper were still fighting there (how were they taking so long against a tiny kid who didn't even notice herself passing?)... When Edelweiss found the blue-haired girl she was in one of the last and most wrecked rooms of all, fallen in a pool of her own blood and a limb missing - or not so much missing as having been tossed on the opposite side of the room, completely dettached from the rest of her body. Edelweiss ignored the view of Cyran's dead body with an arrow stuck right between his eyes, but winced at the sight of Zona and needed some effort to not look away and leaning down to check her vitals. Still alive, but barely breathing, and with an obviously severe case of bloodloss. There wasn't much time to ponder about how gruesome the scene was. Zona's coat was nearby, and the redhead improvised a tourniquet on Zona's leg stump to reduce the blood flowing just for a moment while she tried to find a more permanent solution.
This was still a hotel's room afterall, although she had no idea what had been done to the furniture that should have been there and wasn't. Did the room have a fireplace? Yes. Did the fireplace have any pokers? Yes. Those would make do.
"Alright, Zona." The redhead mumbled, grabbing the long object and briefly checking it - the handle's opposite extremity was orange-hot. "You better stay alive, and you better stay unconscious until I'm done because this will hurt like hell." She knelt next to the blue-haired gal's fallen figure and leaned the poker's hot tip against her leg's open wound. Had to stop that massive bleeding before Zona went into shock (if she already didn't), at any costs, and the fastest way of achieving that at the moment was cauterizing it. Zona might hate her for it later, and she wouldn't blame her if she does; but it's not like they could re-attach her severed leg back in place. None of them had Health skills high enough.
Eryn watched as the boy talked ... he talked like he was older ... he talked like he was a nasty man ... Eryn know this boy could never be recovered and could only see wrong. "... i gave you a chance ... " Eryn winded up , her eyes had locked on to the boy as she stop shacking.
with in a second Eryn used speed III on the Boy to slow him down to half his speed before casting speed II on her self to speed herself up by half , she Ran at the Boy and with all her force and Throw a punch with her metal right Arm as hard as she can before trying to follow it up with as meany punches as she can do while both her and the boy where under the Effects of speed magic. (UC I)
Livna was on her way back as fast as she could , she was getting more and more worries of what happened as she ran through the streets back to the group. skilled used

Elaine would have probably flipped a table if she had one because she was getting real tired real quick of this kids crap followed the boy's movements and tensed her ghostly body up. She needed to get back to her own which was behind him. Upon hearing Jasper's tune the apparition did just that. With one final hiss it returned to its owner's body and the girl jerked up with a start. She jumped neatly to her feet and watched cautiously as Eryn practically steamrolled the kid. She gripped her arm and looked up at the house where they'd taken Zona, growing even more concerned as Zona and Edelweiss did not return in a suitable amount of time. Or at least suitable for Elaine and her impatience at the moment. She turned her attention back to the fight whipping out her daggers. She didn't want to kill the poor boy but if she had to she would. She stepped over in Jasper's direction with weary yet calculated steps.

Zona continued to swim, though everything was getting heavy, and hot... Everything was getting hot, really hot, especially where her leg should be. Burning. The sensation of burning began to grow. But she was in water how could that be... Just as the water began to pull her down a bright flash or red and yellow over took her as she was pulled back into the real world. A searing, hot, burning pain come from her leg as she let out a loud scream, even if she did want to hold in it she knew that would never happen. The pain was intense and she could feel the heat of it all over her leg though it wasn't quite as bad as the pain that came with losing her leg. Taking several deep breaths, Zona opened her eyes to see a familiar red head sitting over her. A small smile crept over her face as she closed her eyes again, she was glad to see her guild leader there. "I may... need just a small break... from work... Hope ya don't mind..." Zona said in between breaths. Everything was going dark again, but Zona wasn't planning one passing out just yet (UC IV used for the pain)
The deceit the blue hair boy used would have worked if the girl with the fake arm didn't come running up and punch him. Gus stumbled back some as he went and blocked the rest of the girls moves (UC II used). Just as he was about to throw a punch back at the girl a scream echoed though out the street and a large smile broke out on Gus's face. The thought that Cyran was still alive and had just taken the girls life bounced around in his head, after all a scream like that could only mean one thing, "YES!!! Cyran has done it!" Gus called out as he wiped the blood that dripped from his nose, the girl hit hard than expected, "Your actions are for nothing now. Your friend it dead!" Gus called out again as his smile grew wider. He was filled up with the sense of satisfaction, feeling he did his job and kept them all from where they needed to go. Letting out a wicked and wild laugh, Gus forgot about the people he was fighting, dropping his guard and leaving himself open.
