Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Kalum glanced down at the approach of the little girl and when she spoke he smiled at her. "You are a very smart girl as is miss Edelweiss." He then looked back at Andronikos and shook his head. "Bjorn never saw himself as a hero but as a failure because of how his demons haunted him. He still blames himself for the murder of his wife and newborn daughter. The rest of us saw him as a hero, yes. I think perhaps you truly are like Bjorn. This girl here admires you. Many soldiers in our ranks admire you. I certainly admire you. And the girl is right. Andronikos, I am not certain of your situation, but I am honored to serve beside you."

From the girls she mentioned before, Amber's face was scarred because a bunch of human teens saw her with her wings out and thought it'd be fun to 'brand the bird' with a broken bottle, and Almandine's lost tooth happened in even less savory circunstances. With so many horror stories stamped over the bodies of the friends she lived with and saw everyday, Jade would probably hate humans if not for the strict fact she's human as well. There were both good and bad people of both races in the world. That's why even though she only partially understood things when Kalum started to talk of demons and heroes, she still agreed with him that it didn't matter where Andronikos got his scars.
Whatever it was that marked him, it must have been painful. And he still lived even so. It should count as something. "Should we sing for you? I'm not... very good at it, but when I'm feeling down and someone sings to me I feel better..."

"I'm fine," Andronikos replied to Jade with a hint of a smile. "Do not worry about a man such as myself." With that, Andronikos' gaze flicked towards Kalum. He was not in need of this reassurance. They were laced with pity. He wondered, however, if Kalum had any more stories about his years of hunting... Maybe he had judged the man prematurely...
Kalum pressed his lips into a thin line but nodded. There was nothing more he could have said and so looked down at the girl and gestured to the cafe. "I think a song may be good another time. Andronikos and I should be returning to Headquarters here shortly before we are in trouble. I hope you can forgive us."

"Oh. Alright then... I'll go back then..." To the bakery, pay her tab. The baker wouldn't chase her for not paying, at least now with Edel having giving her permission and probably willing to pay it for her, but it just wouldn't feel right. She turned to leave, but still glanced at Andronikos and the other sleep-deprived officer a last time. Stay well, ok...
