<Comical1> outside of the city, if you didn't mind the country so much, there was a pretty well known Vineyard to the North East. I know what you're thinking, BOOORRINNNGGG, but hear me out. This vineyard was well known- not for its juices or wines or soups, this one was known for its special 'effect' it had on newcomers. Rumors abound of the 'first encounter' with the NE Vineyard (so elusively named) that anyone who enters it will react with the most unforgettable behaviors. Insanity stirrs in the minds of people of all historys and backgrounds regardless of race or gender... Some have been known to enter the endless fields of fruits and fall in love, others to kill their best friend, and even some who just never return. For the mere sake of curiosity (and on a ranchorous round of bets had at the bar last night by all!) a tiny expedition of misfits departed Lodan this day... seeking out the NE Vineyard and facing the uncertainty that awaits them each within.
<Maruyasha-sama> Ah, Night time, and what a pleasant night as well. Marianne finished getting ready and grabbed some goggles she had made, these just helped her hide her glowing eyes at this time, she was never the type to just walk around with glowing eyes, making everyone know what she really was and all. "Lets see if there's something fun to do tonight." She spoke to herself and walked out of her room, heading downstairs to leave the Guild. Marianne placed her goggles on and continued to walk., staring at other members of the Guild, but ignoring them quickly, wondering still of what ''thrilling'' thing she could do tonight.
<coontails> He'd gotten wind of a strange place lately, called the 'NE Vineyard'. Really, what a creative name. He rolled his eyes. The rumors he'd heard about the place was startling to say the least. Well, not the rumors at all. The rumors seemed commonplace at best to him. What surprised and annoyed him was the fact that it was so close to his guild, considering that it was in the Northeast part of the city. He sighed, looking outside before grabbing his fur-trimmed coat, leaving his office to go outside. As he left, he spotted Marianne, and another of his new recruits, both of which seeming to not be doing anything of merit. They could come with him to check on things. It didn't matter to him what they were doing at the moment, because it obviously wasn't their jobs</i>, if those rumors about the NE Vineyard were true. He turned to look at each of them, calling both by their last names as he stood there. "Thorn, Peirrette. Front and Center." He said simply, his eyes closed.
<Comical1> Caitlin hiked one booted heel up on the rim of the fountain (same fountain she'd dunked her hungover head into just this morning) and pulled her skirt all the way up her leg to adjust her stockings. thoughlessly, one hand wandered to the belt sliding down to the lower hip, feeling for her sword sheath. When she felt the blunt handle of her English sword her eyes went wide and she breathed in deeply but soundlessly. "Its just muscle memory" she told herself "It's not like I'm anxious," she lied. Truth be told.. Last night at the bar when everyone was going shot for shot and screaming bets out loud, she had been the one to bring up the NE Vineyard and bet the whole drat bar they were too chicken to go there tonight. She couldn't help herself, she wanted to check it out, and with or without someone (though she fiercly prefered someone would come) she was going to find the place tonight and see how it effected her. After all, Caity couldn't resist a good bit of fun. She though she heard something out of the ordinary and her head snapped up and she stood prone, one foot still on the fountain, and listened for more
<MaltedMilkBoat> Scratching at his beard with book in hand, he mumbled to himself "I should've brought a lantern..." It was far to dark for him to read outside, but he had been to fixated on the book itself to plan ahead. In his aimless wondering around the city, he had somehow ended up just outside the city gates. With his brow raised "How did i end up here..." He decided to sit himself down and ponder on his route.
<Maruyasha-sama> Well, this sure didnt last long. Her hand was in the door knob when out of the sudden she heard her boss voice. 'Great....' Marianne rolled her eyes and let go of the steady grip she had on the door, sighing silently, turning around and walking to the man, stopping some feet away from the man as she mockingly saluted the boss. "Yes'sir." She spoke to him sarcastically and lowered her hand, standing straight as she eyed at the familiar face she stared at some minutes ago. "New commer.. huh." Pierrette thought to herself and moved her sight away from her, staring at her boss, awaiting his orders, in which she hoped they were good ones.
<lillumsama> Leah looked up from her gun when she heard the Guild leader and took her a couple of seconds to react, seriously considered not moving at all, but she hadn't been there long and... she was bored. "'sup, Boss? she asked brightly, then wondered if she shouldn't have saluted just like the other woman and followed -kinda- her example "I mean, how may I be of assistance, sir" she asked, trying to remain serious while saying it.
<coontails> The man eyed them both as they saluted. He shoved both hands into his pockets, staying quiet for a moment before turning, walking toward the so called 'Vineyard'. "Come with me. You have an assignment."
<Comical1> "Oh wait, I know that sound," Caitlin spoke, with a half smile pulling at the corner of her mouth, "Sarah, right?" she called loudly. She could tell by the sound her new boots made on gravel. FLat boots, no heels, a very distinct sound. She turned toward the direction it came from and in the dark spotted a slender figure. 99% positive that she was correct, Caitlin stepped down from the fountain and began walking toward the girl. "Any chance you've heard of the NorthEast Vineyard? Supposedly it makes wild, explainable things happen to people... an unsolved mystery and all that...." She waited till she got right up to the other female pirate before asking excitedly, "Wanna go?"
<Coffee-sama> How was that the girl knew Sarah was there from such a good distance? She would never know. She sighed and walked toward the girl. "The NorthEast Vineyard? Never heard of it..." She grabbed an -unexistent- beard and pondered. "Wild things happen there? Mmm, sounds delicious in more than one way! Of course I want to go!" Sarah started to run in some random direction, and after getting lost in the dark, she returned and stared to the woman. "...Where is it exactly?"
<MaltedMilkBoat> He knew he was wasting his time thinking on such trivial matters, but he really didn't want to go back to the guilds dusty old archives, being cooped up there didn't agree with his health. "Maybe a nice stroll in the countryside will do me some good" he said to himself as he got up of the ground clearing the the dirt and dust from his trousers and placing his book into his bag. Ahenobarbus Tilted his head back looking to the clear night skies, checking the direction he was facing "North east it is then." as he walked off humming a tune.
<Maruyasha-sama> Marianne rolled her eyes yet again and nodded, following the man as she slowly adjusted her goggles, staring at the path they were taking, rather glad that she could see so well in the night. "Y'know boss...Curiousity killed the cat.." She chuckled and crossed her arms, following him still, wondering why the man was so interested in taking his employees along with him.
<lillumsama> "An assignment?" Leah asked but nonethless followed her boss, curious about the details that would make him bring the two of them with him at those hours of the night "What kind of assignment is it? Where are we going?" she asked again, before turning to look at the other woman "And we haven't been introduced, Leah Thorn, pleased to make your acquaintance" she said with a slight smile on her lips
<coontails> He didn't answer either of them, his expression set. He never was one for details, but he guessed he should have told them what the assignment was. If you could call it an assignment. Well, either way, he continued to walk toward the vineayard, thinking that if, he'd given details now, would make the two of them flake out on him. He didn't want that. Because he'd be drated if he were going in there without someone to make sure the effects of the place. He figured there was some kind of monster in the place, or some other non-humane than in the garden of grapes at the time. That could have been the only explanation, right? "...We're going to the NE Vineyard. There's something there."
<Comical1> Caitlin bit back a laugh and shook her head slightly at Sarah's enthusiasm, "you are just like me," she said, but then added quickly "on the inside! like me on the inside" she laughed out loud as she flipped her braid back over her shoulder. She always felt as excited as Sarah looked, but she was rarely in the right kind of company to show it. Well now, she might have herself a new best friend "We chart our way North East using the stars, just like in sailing" she told Sarah. It's supposedly very vast and you can't miss it if you head that way long enough. But hold on tight to that sword, people have also been rumored to get killed there as well... not that its more than a couple of pirate wenches could handle!" She put faith in the thought that they were safe... but wasn't truly sure.
<Coffee-sama> Sarah tilted her head a little staring at the woman. She couldn't say if they were really alike. Maybe was something about the blonde hair. She shrugged and looked to the sky. "Sooo that's it. Mmm, let's make those years on sailing well worth it, mmmkay?" If there were something she could be proud of was on her sailing abilities. So just giving a gaze, she knew where to go. "Dangerous or not, an adventure is an adventure. So let's go!" And again, grabbing Cat's arm, she ran at the Vineyard direction.
<Maruyasha-sama> If one of the things she really disliked was when people didnt explain things. Great, one more thing to place on her 'i hate my boss' List. Marianne held the urge to just facepalm and she just let out a soft sigh, rubbing her forehead as she continued to follow him, glaring at the man from a distance. "This better be worth it." The feline quietly snarled under her breath, still shooting glares at him.
<lillumsama> She was starting to think things through, wherever they were going it just didn't seem all that worthy, her current companions Sunshine and Rainbow didn't seem like the most... endearing companions, not to mention the fact that they barely talked. However, when the man finally replied she brightened again "The NE Vineyard? That one that's rumored to drive whoever visits it insane or something?" she asked and cracked her knuckles "Been meaning to go there for a while, if it has such drastic... influence on the people who go there, there might actually be something of interest, right?" Well, it seemed like at least, there was the chance to cure her boredom for the night AND get something valuable if she was luckyenough.
<coontails> He nodded slightly, his face still set. "Exactly. I get the feeling that the cause of the rumors is something that we could easily kill, if my thinking's correct." It was true he didn't talk much, and some of his members found it endearing that he would spare them a long-winded explanation of things. Others, though, obviously didn't. He continued to walk until they had reached the entrance of the so-called 'cursed' vineyard, frowning up at the entrance. It looks nice, though....must be something that has to do with the sound...? Or the plants...? Maybe an Alptraum..." He though aloud. There were so many possibilities of what the cause was. He was determined to find out, but....he didn't want to go in, y'know, just in case he needed some kind of help to come out. "You two..." the man gestured to the entrance, frowning. "Inside. I need to see if these rumors really are true.
<fireoz> Faye: There was having a barracks party, and there was having a barracks party with fancy drinks. Her squadron mates, ever the troublemakers, wanted to have a party with wine from this rumoured vineyard. Figuring the walk might be nicer than sitting around with grumpy wine-less colleagues, she had volunteered to go. Checking the directions written on the piece of paper in her hand again, she figured she was just one block away now.
PERSONALITY GENERATOR FOR INSIDE VINEYARD
1. "the love boat"- someone gets struck with serious puppy-love syndrome and just falls-in-obsession with someone else
2 .Sadistic/insane one: Creepy, thirsted for a fight/bloodshed.
3. Morbidly gloomy
4. Tsundere
5. Moe
6. Hero of Justice
<Comical1> Caitlin latched on excited to Sarahs wrists when she smelled the sweet sent of thousands upon thousands of sun-dried and summer-ripe berries. "We're here!" She whispered as loud as she could... the girls exchanged a look of anticipation... just across that line of trees, into the vineyard.... what awaited? they released eachothers arms at the same time and took off at a sprint straight for the field! Rushing in Caitlin let slip a sudden gurgle of laughter. She raised her hands high so she could brush the branches of tress as she raced down rows of apples and then swung inside the arch of a viney grape covered paradise. But she came to a hault. She could see someone standing just outside the arch-tunnel on the other end of the vines. Was he waiting to come in? or was she imaging it?
<Coffee-sama> As they arrived to the vineyard, they took separate ways. It was all so beautiful, and thefragances coming from all the place made it all so exciting and intoxicating, as a fine perfume, one of which the women from the high society used. Sarah laughed, feeling pretty excited and full of energy all of a sudden, she ran from here to there, passing her hands for all the trees and the fruits, taking away some of them and eating, enjoying as if it were the forbidden fruit. After some minutes of floating by, she was so deep on the place that she couldn't see the way out anymore. And what was that strange feeling she was having? Her sword was trembling, thirsty for blood. It had never happened before, and she didn't know how to deal with it either. So, with a frightening smile painted on her place, she kept walking, looking for someone to calm that anxiety.
<MaltedMilkBoat> Ahenobarbus somehow awakens to find himself already within the vineyard grounds and on his feet, his face displaying quite some confusion, scratching his beard he deduced he mustve been sleepwalking. And seeing as he was already at the vineyard he thought he might aswell have a nosy around.
<Maruyasha-sama> Marianne opened her mouth to just yell at her now dissapeared boss, but instead she covered her face, sighing heavily as she stared at the other female. "....I'm Marianne.." Her tone was rather monotonous as she slowly regained her posture. "That bastard just left us to take care of this 'thing'... He sure gets me angry sometimes.." Marianne rubbed her forehead and stared at the vineyard, then at her. "We'll...Whatever happens here... lets just keep it to us okay? okay." She didnt let the other answer as she walked through the vined tunnel, walking away from the woman, but she turned and stared from afar. "If you get lost or something its not my problem!" She chuckled and turned back and continued to walk, enjoying the new scents inhablting her nose, they were sweet and delicate, enough to calm one down, though.. she couldnt help but to get slightly bothered by this. Marianne fixed her goggles and walked deeper into the tunnel, finally winding up in the supposed center of the Vineyard, gazing upon the large, old fountain, tilting her head.
<lillumsama> "Wuss..." she muttered under her breath, annoyed at the man but clearly not annoyed enough, as the idea of going inside still excited her. This'd better not be a dissapointment, tho, or she would get really, really pissed. "Well, of course... It's always easier to sacrifice others for one's own sake after all" she replied distastefully and about to laugh at the woman's request, like, what was the worse that could happen? But instead of laughing she grunted annoyed when Marianne started walking "Pfff I could say the same, just who does she think I am?" she muttered, to herself, since she was alone now. Sighting, she began walking, looking around, hoping to see or find anything of interest, but all there seemed to be were fruits and flowers. Really, what was the big deal about that place anyway? In the distance she could see a fountain, but as she walked towards it something rolled all the way to her feet. Stranged, she picked up the bright orange that just layed there and kept on walking, playing with it like a ball, unconciously peeling it's skin
<fireoz> Faye: She arrived at the vineyard. Walked inside, looking for someone on staff she could talk to. There seemed to be a tasting event, so she carefully plucked a grape from a nearby bunch and had a taste, peering at the sign next to it. This type of grape was to be turned into Minot. Hm.
<Comical1> "There is a man on the other end of the vines," Caitlin exclaimed.... she couldn't see him very well but she was sure she'd never met him before.... this could mean trouble... she unlatched the hook on her scabbard just in case she had to unsheathe her sword. Still she walked toward him. Once she was close enough to speak she could see he had a beard... and it looked good on him, she mused to herself. "Sir, excuse me, whoa..." she thought she'd gotten his attention but at that same moment her attention was diverted to the fountain just behind his back. It looked ancient. "have..you..seen..that!" she exclaimed to the man as if they were old friends
<Coffee-sama> "frak...frakfrakfrak!" Sarah yelled all the way long, cutting anything that was on her way with the edge of her sword. Trees, plants, even some rocks and animals, but nothing filled her blood desire. She needed fresh and crimson, human blood. There should be someone, she could hear steps all around. Oh~ so near, she could almost taste it.... And then, as in an kick of great luck, the silouette of a woman appeared from the deep of the place, where the light barely let her see. She passed her tongue over her lips, as feeling her desire already fullfilled, and walked to catch her prize, rounding her from the darkness, as a wild animal
<MaltedMilkBoat> As Ahenobarus continued to explore the grounds, he came across a single blueberry every now and again, and even though he knew he shouldn't eat them, he couldn't help himself... With each blueberry he ate he felt like a part of himself just fade away. He didn't pay attention to any of his surroundings and by the time he reached the the foutain, He was a complete mess as tears rolled down his eyes not even able to stand anymore, he sits next to the fountain. "MMMMMMRUBUGLmmm" he incoherently says as he woffles on, attempting to wail his arms about and failing
<Maruyasha-sama> The womans eyes darted to a red circle floating on the fountain, she leaned to the object and grabbed it, it was a Pomegranate. "My My. I haven't seen one of these in a while." She muttered to herself and sat on the small boulder. She looked to her sides and noticed some people from afar talking to eachother and she turned around again, staring at the bright pomegranade on her hands. The feline reached to her pocket and took out a knife, cutting the fruit in half, the bright crimson-like liquid dripping down her hand. She noticed this and turned her hand, licking the trail of the sweet liquid and slowly took some of the lucious, juicy seeds to her mouth and bit some, swallowing the savory liquid and spitting out the seeds. The feline coudlnt understand why she was feeling rather odd, but she continued to eat the fruit and left half of it, placing the fruit to the side as she licked her now red lips. Marianne seemed somewhat brighter but suddenly became startled by the man who just began to squirm. This brought a frown to her face and she walked to the man, patting his back. "Come now sir! There's no need to feel so down! Turn that frown upside down! Come on! You can do it!" What.
<lillumsama> Suddenly her surroundings became Leah's last problem, as her attention focused on the round fruit in her hands. Why the eff couldn't she peel it properly? Tangerines were easier! "You bloody fruit! If you want to be eaten you should be easier to eat!" she yelled at it, not really caring how weird that was. She was, however, pleased that the orange seemed to consider her words when she finallyfound the way. "Now that's better" she ate it with delight, little by little. A strange feeling overcoming her, a warning perhaps, in the back of her mind, but since she didn't feel poisoned or any different really, she payed no attention to it and kept walking towards the fountain, still wondering if there was anything at all in that place.
<fireoz> Faye: The fruit was sweet, and she wondered why exactly wine turned out so sour. Deciding the people back in the barracks could wait a bit longer for their wine, she thought she'd look around some more, and walked off down a row of grape vines. Up ahead, she could see the fruit trees, and the people starting to gather beneath them. No one she recognized, but she'd be more surprised if she did see a familiar face. Settling into her habitual sleepy-eyed contentment, she mosied on over to the gathering crowd.
<Comical1> Cait rushed past the stranger when he didn't react to her awe-inspired outburst about the fountain, and she practically climbed on top of it to look at all the intricate carvings. "this is something from the dark ages" she breathed reverently. Caitlin was walking a circle around the fountain to look for more treasures within when she snagged her skirt on a bush growing much too close to the ancient marble masterpiece. She looked at it with annoyance at first, then with pleasant surprise. "Blackberries!" she cheered, swiftly picking a few off the top and popping them into her mouth.
<Coffee-sama> Sarah tilted her head, hidding in the bushes while she saw Faye walking in the fountain direction. Oh, how delicious it looked, for the love of Crap! There they all were. The first one to die would be Leah. Oh yeah... the blood would fit perfectly with her clothes. And Cat, oh Cat! That red would make your hair look delicious!! That woman and the man with the beard... she didn't know them, and that's why they deserve to die!. But no, wait. Faye MIGHT be the first one to die. She didn't even remember her that day on the tabern! How could that be possible!! Also, her hair obviously needed a new style. Crimson red would do fine... "Hello, Faye" Sarah appeared from the bushes, dirty, with her arms filled with scratches, and that frightening smile on her face. "See here, this sword is the blue shine" She rubbed and passed her tongue for the sword, as tasting a sweet. "He says he wants to meet you...
<MaltedMilkBoat> Ahenobarbus throws a rather pathetic smile up towards the tall lady, he quickly dejects back to his previous state, though now without tears... "I think were gonna..." His voice cuts out slightly, "Dieeeeeee~" His voice corrects..."Whats the point... he then slowly lowers his head to the ground, then twisting the blades of grass around his finger.
<Maruyasha-sama> Marianne frowned and stroked the mans back. "There there. Mister. whats with the pessimistic attitude?" She tilted her head and stood straight, placing her hands on her hips, almost heroically. "This is a beaituful Vineyard!, why the need to be so down?, Come now." The feline adjusted her goggles and helped the man up, sitting him on the boulder besides the fountain. "Dont go back to the grass now, you'll get dirty." A bright smile appeared on her lips and she turned around, noticing how more and more people came to the center of the vineyard, how thrilling.
<lillumsama> Alright, the orange had been delicious and the fountain was quite pretty, but there had to be something else, right? Well, besides the bunch of weirdos that were suddenly appearing out of nowhere. Before she realized it, there were five other people around, each seemed weirder than the previous one and... Was that Sarah licking her sword? Leah shivered and turned around, giving her back to the blonde, she wasn't about to interfere in one of her brawls... "What's wrong with him?" she asked her Guild companion, then looked more closely at her "What is wrong with YOU?"
<fireoz> Faye: She turned around at the address to find a girl (a familiar one at that) with a sword. "Oh! Um... Um...." Suddenly, she wasn't so sure of herself. She unfortunately still couldn't remember this girl's name, but now that she was licking a sword, she looked extra menacing... and Faye couldn't understand why. "Um... N-nice to meet you... Mister sword?" she said uncertainly, eyes shifting left and right nervously.
<Comical1> The sound of metal rasping against leather as Caitlin drew her sword got a lot of attention. "Y'know..." she said non-chalauntly, and facing the one other person with a sword drawn, "I like it here, and I liked it here a lot better before you all showed up... You're disrupting. the. peace." She clipped off her words rudely, and pointed her sword toward Sarah for added effect. "Especially you," she specified. "It's rude to bear a weapon in a holy sanctuary." Her eyes flashed defiance everwhere she glanced. She didn't remember becoming so overly touchy about everything, but it didn't matter, because she believed what she said was true, and right about now she was willing to fight for it.
<Coffee-sama> "Ooooh! Mister sword! I LOVE that one!" She laughed histerically as she drew herself nearer and nearer to the girl. "...Even tho, you don't remember my name, but don't worry I forgive you... I'll even give you a change of look!" The voice of Cat disturbed her 'peace', and she turned her head slowly to face her. "Oh! I'm sorry sweetheart!! I'll be sure to hide my sword right after I tear you all appart. Is that alright?" With that, she attacked Faye with all her might (and her hit is lethal, so you better skip it! *shot* )
<MaltedMilkBoat> Being placed upon the boulder "You could've just thrown me you knowww~ but now with the extra height now gifted to him by the boulder, he begins to notice all the other high spirited people around. He lets out a long drawn out sigh, "Looksss~ like i called it... The crazy lady is gunna kill us alllll~" He lets out another sigh But that's okayyyyy~ , I can come back as rock thennnn~. He begins wailing his arms around the best he can atop his boulder.
<Maruyasha-sama> Another frown appeared on her lips, but it rapidly faded as she saw the familar face, it was the fellow female from the Guild she was in. Perfect timing. "Ah! I could totally use your help!" She smiled and walked behind her, placing her hands against the others back, pushing her lightly to the man. "H-He needs help, I've been trying to cheer him up, but so far no good!" Marianne listened to the man and turned around, noticing the turmoil up ahead. With a gasp, she let the female go and ran towards them. "You take care of him while i go attend the others!" She shouted to the other and waved, making her way to the fight-scene. Hero time.

Hero time.
