<picklez101> Archer had indeed woken up from the slight motion he felt, and he was very unhappy. The cabbages hardly slowed him down as he managed to tip-toe through them, barely missing a couple. There was no chance a little brat was going to get away with his loot, not today. Especially when it was an inexperienced punk like this. The boy turned a corner, and he almost lost track of him, but a quick swing around another lamp post brought him directly into view again. "Oh, I'm gonna get you, you little prick!" he shouted, making a mad dash for the kid.
<idioticrebelion> ITS SO BOLD OF YOU ARCHER.. I DONT THINK I CAN ASSERT MYSELF IN YOUR PRESENCE ANYMORE )
<ophelia-siobhan> "You won't if I'm fast enough!" the boy yelled back, oh he won't let himself get caught so easily. And while he run he threw a post full of newly smithed swords in his way, heading for the dancing floor. With his little stature it was easy to push himself through the people, heading for a booth filled with fruits, taking the time to get an apple, aiming for Archers head, and then running again, always trying to stay there where the most people were. The Pirate was so tall he would have a harder time to get through the crowd. Or so the boy hoped.
<little-imp-rin> If she hadn't stepped outside for a breath of remotely fresher air, Lou most likely wouldn't have noticed the hustle and bustle rousing the city. Brushing off her grease-covered gloves on her slightly-cleaner pants, she reached up and slid her goggles off to rest around her neck. After a minute, it finally clicked as to why the city was so busy. That's right, the festival was going on, wasn't it? Looking in the direction of her work and then back towards the city, she seemed to mull over the idea of just simply going back to what she was doing. However, with a frustrated sigh and a curse under her breath, she decided otherwise and headed towards the noises of the festival. Afterall, such festivities could mean good deals on supplies and much-needed parts for the job. Regardless whether or not she enjoyed pushing her way through the crowds, she couldn't pass up the possible opportunity.
Archer: The kid was a little more clever than he had anticipated. He hopped over the swords, not daring to tiptoe through this blockade, but was halted by the dancing crowds. He quickly sidestepped the apple and glared at the boy as he took off again. Only one thing to do.
"PLAGUE! I HAVE THE PLAGUE!" he screamed, waving his arms in the air and running directly at the crowd of people. They parted like the red sea, gasping and panicking as he ran through. "DON'T COME NEAR ME I HAVE THE PLAGUE, OH GRACIOUS ME!" When he finally broke away from the dancefloor, he saw the boy turn another corner. Luckily, he knew this chunk of the street very well. He turned down one of the tiny alleys that turned to cut off the street up ahead. With a couple hops over some stacked crates, he saw the open street ahead of him. He waited...and just when the boy appeared, he lunged off the boxes and grabbed the cuff of his jacket, swooping him off of his feet, letting him dangle in the air.
"Well, that was fun, kiddo, but you really should choose your targets better." he wagged his finger in the kids face and held out his hand for the money pouch. "Thieves should know better than to target pirates. Now give that back, your game is up."
The boy looked over his shoulder while running, just thinking that the guy was mad, and he really didn't want to be caught by a madman. When he lost sight of the Pirate and turned into one of the many side alleys he thought he was save. But sadly he was wrong. He squeaked shocked when the man fell from the sky and of course tried to run again, but to no avail. His little feet was danggling in the air and he was flailing and wiggling, trying to get free. "NO!" he just answered slightly pouty and then decided to change the tactic, and bit down as hard as possible into Archers hand that was holding him, like a scared stray dog.
<little-imp-rin> Lou: She heard some sort of ruckus as she made her way into the thrall of the crowd, some loon going on about something or another. Whatever it was had the crowd splitting apart and chattering amongst themselves. Whatever it was had nothing to do with her, she tried to remind herself but curiosity seemed to win over. Turning on her heel, she pushed her way through the hordes of people towards the source of the commotion.
<picklez101> Archer grunted at the pain and dropped the kid, but quickly recovered and instead kicked his legs out and put a boot on his chest instead. "Oh...alright, if you want to play it that way, suit yourself." he rubbed the bitten hand a bit before waving the pain out of it and crouching down, keeping his boot on the boy. "Do you know what pirates do to kids who steal from them?" A wicked grin spread across his face as he wiggled his fingers. "We tie ropes around their big toes and dangle them off of cliffs. Or if you come across an airship pirate, which I am, you get to get tugged behind a fast moving flier...and the best part...you have to hang on with your teeth. I've seen grown men have their jaws almost ripped off when that happens." He laughed darkly before completely dropping the charade and lightening up again. "But I've never seen you before, so I guess I'll cut you a break. For now, you are my chew toy." He stood up tall again and began adding pressure to his boot in a rhythm, as if the boy were indeed a squeaky toy. "Y'know, I would have just let you go if you had just given me my money back. Oh well. Everyone has their learning curve." He quickly removed his foot frmom the boy and picked him up by his ankle, dangling him upside down and shaking him in every which direction. Up, down, left right, wherever he wanted, but keeping him at a safe distance the whole time. "Learn, you little runt! Leaaaarrrrrrrrn!" he cackled as he waved the boy around.
“ldizrgfsrekzg” the real sounds were as human as that keyboard smashing when he was tangled around. Okay maybe that was better than the other things the pirate threatened him with. But giving up? He had nothing to lose. He breathed deeply in before he started to scream “PEDOPHILE! HEEELP! LET ME GO YOU CREEPY MAN!”
<little-imp-rin> Lou: Making her way to the center of the commotion, she watched on as some grown man took his jollies tormenting some grungy child. Looking around, it was obvious that none of the onlookers seemed like they were planning on helping. She herself merely watched from the front line of the crowd, analyzing the situation.
<ophelia-siobhan> no one wants to help that poor thing? awww =C )
<little-imp-rin> (lou would if it looked like the kid were actually in serious trouble)
<picklez101> Archer stopped for a moment, just holding him there and cocked an eyebrow. He glanced up to anybody who was watching and shrugged, pointing at the kid. "Thieeeef. Thieeeef. Hey, technically I have the right to cut off his hand, you mind your business." He carried on waving the kid around, whistling a light-hearted tune as he did. He stopped for a moment and held the boy still. "Ah, I almost forgot." He grabbed the boy by both legs and violently shook him up and down until his satchel fell to the ground. "Ah, there it is." He tucked his foot under it and kicked it up, catching it with his other hand and tucking it within his vest. "Can't be losing that. Someone made it specially for me, y'know?" He carried on with his "torture", whistling the happy tune all the while.
<ophelia-siobhan> "Let me go you drat pig! Mumper! Let me down...! he yelled and again lifted himself up, whide enough to grab the mans hand. "You got your stupid coins back... now let me go..." what worried him the most was when the cabbage man and the sword smith found them. He destroyed property he really was not able to pay... now.
Lou: Watching the commotion and the attention it was drawing, she let out a low, frustrated growl and scratched her head irritatedly. She had really hoped the two would tire out or someone else would speak up, but none of the peanut gallery seemed to want to do a thing. Clenching her teeth, she inwardly scolded herself for interfering but stepped forward nonetheless. "Oi. As doubtfully impressive as it is to see a grown man thrash a common street urchin, you're both becoming an eyesore. Why don't you bugger off and do something useful for a change?" she snapped, stepping into view with shoulders pulled back and eyes locked on the two.
Archer slowly stopped and stared down at the boy. "Have you learned your lesson?" he asked sharply. "I'm going to put you down now...but before I let you go completely..." he turned the boy upside down and set him down on his feet, keeping a grip on his shoulders. "Your escape was pretty good, and it was a good choice to use that crowd as an escape. However, you didn't take my status into account. If you see someone with a gun and a sword, chances are they're not someone you want to be messing with. There are other things that tip you off as to what I am, so you gotta learn the signs. A drunk pirate might be sleepy, but if you put one finger on his gold, he's going to stop at nothing to get it back, you hear?" He roughly pat the boys shoulders and stood tall again. "A better choice for you while you can't quite defend yourself yet is to focus on those who are distracted; like those folks at that booth over there watchin that fire-eater." he pointed slightly and smiled lopsidedly. "You've got the makings for a pirate, bucko. If you're interested, look more into it. I can show you all sorts of stuff, y'know...being the king and all." He shrugged and picked out a small brooch he had taken off an aristocrat. "Here. Sell this and get what you can. That's all you get from this, and the advice." He pointed with his thumb behind him back into the alley. "You can head up through here, there's a little window to climb through small enough for a kid. I won't rat you out. Go on." he pat the boys shoulder once more and strode back out into the public. "It's alright, friends, it wasn't the plague. Just gas~" He carried on as if nothing had happened at all. He glanced to the woman who shouted and grinned charmingly. "That wasn't a thrashing my dear, it was a lesson. He needs to be taught if he's going to grow. I had to learn the same lessons, you know."
Genevieve had continued to wander through the fair until she had found that shouty man, she chuckled too when she saw that show and then looked around, seeing Alisher not too far away. Fast she stepped closer from behind, and gently slapped her fan on his head. "Oh dear Alisher, like always where the most commotion is... and like always standing out..." she smiled, now stepping to his side. "How are you dear? I didn't see you in forever..."
<mrakobulka>Alisher: He felt something slap slightly his head and turned back to see the familiar courtesan standing behind. His lips stretched up in a half-smile-half grin as he tokk her hand, placing a kiss on it - "oh, my, Gene! this day is becoming better and better" - he said with a quiet chulk, giving the girl a sly look - "hm? standing out? not the best compliment to a manof my profession, but i like it when it comes from you" - he gave her a slight bow, putting his hand to his chest. "ah... work, work. had absolutely no time to visit the red palace" - he sighed theatrically, closing his eyes a bit and tilting his head a bit, giving a tired expression for a second - "and how have you been, my little angel?" - he asked as the sly smile returned back to his face
<ophelia-siobhan>“Ah Alisher,...” Genevieve got a bit closer, still so it wouldn't be seen as immoral, but so that she could lower her voice so only he could hear. “... We both know you are not one of those lurking in the dark, you charm a woman with those golden eyes and your pretty words so she doesn't care for what your hands are doing.... oh rather quite the opposite... and in the end left without a coin... but maybe not even minding that... or am I wrong?” she smiled slily up to him before stepping away again.
“Angel? Alisher are you trying to mock me?” he expression really had changed a bit, like he really had insulted her. It was a rather touchy subject for her, everything that had to do with her wings... her not anymore existing wings. But fast she sighed and her usual smile returned. “I'm not so often there anyway... often accomplishing rich men to some banquets and balls...” Her eyes wandered to the shouty man, praising another new product and she shook her head. “Want to change the place? I get bored by all this Gulpys(Gullible, easily duped.)”
<mrakobulka>Alisher He laughed slightly at her words and leaned slightly to her ear - "you are right my dear, indeed. except of the fact i can charm not only women" - he grinned slightly - "though only women can charm me" - he shrugged a bit and laughed again and leanedback, keeping the distance again - "mocking you? oh, no, why would i?" - he said looking down at her with half-closed eyes, a smile barely touching his face - "just lok at the mirror, if it's not a face of an angel, then what is it?" - he said in a soft voice and offerd her his hand - "yes, you're right my dear, this croud is starting to get on my nerves, i'm ready to follow you wherever you want" - he gave her a slight bow again
Genevieve shook her head slightly. "I'm a demon my dear, impure, wingless and fallen... but we both know demons and the dark side can be by far more alluring..." she was still more on the good side... but she embodied everything the normal people in Lodan loathed. A dollymop, an Andersweltler, a woman without husband. But she didn't care, if she would... she already would have thrown herself from a cliff. The lady wouldn't take his hand though linking her arm with his. "How about some food? The chocolatier booth has lamb with dark chocolate sauce and pasta... I's like to try that...
