Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Open to all, but no more then three please. Vieka let out a breath in the nighttime, her mask in her hands instead of on her face for once as she took the chance to appreciate her surroundings. The half breed had found herself in the nicer sections of Lodan city, her walk to cool off in the late night air leading her to a quiet park filled with a lush green grass field and a small lake with a bridge, her current location. The stone walls of the bridge may not have been the most comfortable thing in the world, but the atmosphere the place presented itself was enough for her to feel more at ease then she had been in a while.
"Never thought opening my own clinic would be so much work..." She grumbled to herself, placing her beloved mask beside her and leaning back on one arm so she could look up at the first stars beginning to appear, although if we're being honest, she couldn't see them all that well, they looked a bit like bright blurs.
Clancy was walking around one of the fancier parks in Lodan when he spotted a figure leaned up against the side of a bridge. Curious, he approached, "Oi! Are ya all right? Do ya need help?" Upon closer inspection he recognized the figure to be Vieka, his kindly doctor neighbor. "Oh! Hey there Vieka! Ah didn't recognize ya in tha dark. How's it goin?" He gestured to the spot beside her, "May ah join ya?" He then realized that he had a brown paper bag of unopened alcohol in his hand within the doctors sight. Coughing, he quickly hid it behind his back, giving her an innocent smile. She did say to lay off the drinking and he had but... addictions were hard to ignore for a long time.

The half blood jerked, her hand instinctively going to her mask to slap it back onto her face quickly before she recognized the rather hard to forget pinkette (like seriously, how many people do you know have pink hair?). She didn't remember his name, but she did remember his face, which was more then she typically would. Having realized he already knew what her face looked like, she left her plague mask beside her as she turned back to look at the fuzzy stars.
"Ah, the talkative one with half a brain wasn't it?" She hummed, her eyes catching the movement of his arm from the corner of her gaze and she could feel herself roll them at the male for the action. Well, she told him no alcohol for two days, and he did fulfill that quota at the very least; what did it matter to her if he decided to ruin his liver?

Clancy let out a short laugh, "Yep! That's me!" He took her silence as an invite to sit next to her. After leaning against the wall and safely depositing the bottle next to him, he followed Vieka's gaze to the stars. "Ya star gazin'? Too bad ya can't see too many 'ere in Lodan. Back were I'm from ta sky was jus' painted with 'em. Ah wish ya coulda seen 'em" he sighed, a nostalgic grin on his face. "So why ya seekin' these blazin' lights' company tonight? Last ah checked their ain't too many night time sky seekers 'ere in Lodan."

Lasair usually avoided the parks in the city, preferring the wilderness outside it instead, however tonight he felt inclined to at least pass through. See how things were doing, if anything had changed, and also see if any familiar faces were about.
As he walked about, he spotted a pair of people he knew, curious about what they were doing together. While he usually avoided Clancy (for fear of his lover) they were at least civil with each other. As for Vieka, well, he was determined to talk to that woman every time he ran into her. Walking over to the pair he kept his distance but was still close enough to have a conversation.
“Hello, how are you two doing on this evening?” he was tempted to tease them about it being a date, but decided against it; mostly because of the pink haired man.
"Just some fresh air and peace an-" Vie cut herself off with the appearance of Lassair, and outright face palmed, a groaning noise escaping her mouth. "My god, you truly are stalking me aren't you?" She muttered miserably, although at the same time a kind of ironic amusement seemed to twist into her tone, like she wasn't sure why she expected any differently at this point.

Clancy frowned a little when he heard Lasair's voice. Turning he looked at the man in question. It was a bit awkward being around him since the last time they had met had not ended so well. But, at least Lasair was trying to be polite so he should respectfully do the same. "Hello Lasair. I'm fine, thanks. It's been ah while," he gave the man a hesitant smile before turning to look once more at the stars. Good thing Iacomus was not here. Who know's what he'd do. Actually, Clancy had an idea but did not want to think about it. At Vieka's remark Clancy let out a short laugh, turning to look at her, "Really? Lasair stalks ya? 'e don' seem tha stalker type ta me." More like a hit and run kind of guy but he kept that comment to himself.

Both of them weren’t exactly happy to see him. Well, that was to be expected. He couldn’t resist at least stopping by. If the animosity continued though, he’d have to sneak off. Better than forcing his presence on them.
“No I am not stalking you, I just can’t resist saying hello whenever I run into you,” he replied to both of them. He didn’t see a reason to address what Clancy had said; he was respectable enough to answer and that was kind of him.
"Bullshit, you are most definitely stalking me." She snorted, leaning back against the wall and leaning her head back slightly, an amused and lazy persona about her. "I can literally recount every time you've 'run across' me in the past 4 days. At least once a day now." She turned to look at Clancy, gesturing to the red haired man with a slight smirk. "Wouldn't you call that stalking?" she joked.

The EIRAL walked along the path, his hands behind his back for the most part. His patrol tonight had been for the most part very quiet and peaceful... then again, they'd decided to stick him in Central Square for the time being, which he honestly didn't know what to make of. Most would probably kill for a quiet patrol route in the upper crust of society... but that was the problem. A patrol route like this one should be more of a reward for those who worked hard... not just dumped on him. He had a suspicion that it was because of his familial relations than anything else. Artorigus sighed as he reached the park. Being the son of a Duke had its perks... but when it came to him wanting to actually work at something, it was quite the damned hindrance.
Speaking of hindrances, it seemed that a trio of people ahead were hanging around... with one of them holding behind them what appeared to be a brown paper bag... The man sighed before he called over to them as he approached. "Evening all. Sorry to interrupt, but I do hope that we're not all getting too "festive" on this fine summer's night?" he asked, gesturing towards the bag the pink haired gentleman seemed to be attempting to hide.
Clancy glanced between Vieka and Lasair with a nervous smile, "I, uh..." Thankfully, someone interrupted. Unfortunately, he noticed the parcile that he'd been trying to hide this whole time. "It's not even open, ah swear! Ah didn' drink none of it! Ah've been good- Honest," he frantically said, putting his hands up in surrender, a look of fear on his face for having been caught.

“Have I really seen you everyday these past few days? I didn’t think it was that often.” He scratched his chin, thinking over it, unsure if she was right, but then his thoughts were interrupted when an EIRAL walked up, questioning Clancy. Normally the red head would have stepped forward to defend someone, but well, this was Clancy. Iaco might take his helping as another attempt to ‘steal’ him or something.
He took a step away from the guard, which also ended up being a step closer to Vie. Funny how things could work out in one’s favor. Maybe he’d even be lucky enough to have the guard shoo the pinkette away.
She cursed softly under her breath as another joined the frey, her quiet evening to herself going right down the crapper as she scrabbled to pick up her plague mask and attach it to her face, her fingers tugging at the clasps clumsily before doing up the buckles. Ignoring her surroundings, she then took the time to pull out stands of her hair that was desperate to try and poke her eye out from under the mask and place it out of the way. She still looked like a stray pole cat with bird nest hair, but at least she wasn't blinking bits of the strands into her eyeballs now.
Sighing, Vieka rubbed her forehead slightly before re-adjusting the rest of her clothes that had been displaced in her mad scrabble, tugging up her coat slightly to shield herself from the cooling air. She glanced over to Clancy and the newcomer, taking in their appearance.
'dung, military? ugh, that's never any good.' she thought irritably, although she decided she couldn't leave the pinkette to fend for himself.
"It's fine, he's prohibited from drinking anyway." She spoke up, leaning over the gun smith and easily picking up the bag and bottle, her amused grin hidden. she had a feeling Clancy wouldn't take it well. "Doctors orders, after all." She almost gloated.

Clancy was pleased that Vieka came to his rescue but he had a sinking feeling he would not get the drink back. He glanced over at Vieka, a guilty look on his face "Aha... It's jus, ya know... been so long..." he mumbled helplessly, resisting the urge to lick his lips. Shaking his head, he turned back to the guard with a hesitant smile, "Anywho, sorry fer tha confusion but we're guilty of nuthin' but lollygagging."

Artorigus raised an eyebrow at the woman's hurried fitting of... an old plague mask to her face. "...Huh..." was all he said before focusing on the task at hand. "I see... so you," he said, pointing at the masked woman, "are his," pointing now to the pink haired man, "physician... and that must make you," he said, looking at the third person who was now standing quite close to the woman, "her escort for the evening?" he queried before shaking his head. "Forget I asked. None of my concern I'm sure." the EIRAL said before he nodded to the group.
"Well, so long as there isn't any bother, I'll be on my way then." he said, beginning to walk away before he stopped and turned around to look at the masked woman. "And miss... Not that it's any of my business... but if the idea is to not be recognised by anyone, or you're trying to hide something... that style of mask may not be the most ideal for the job... perhaps one of those masks they have in Venice would suit you better? Especially up in this part of town. I think I saw a store the other day that had some in stock?" he offered before nodding once more and returning to his patrol.
