Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

"Don't worry, Lefiruc. I found him" Charles laughed, walking down the stairs with an annoyed groom in tow. The man was vigorously removing strands of cat hair from his son's suit. "Enough father" Stephen huffed "I am fine" With that, he moved to his position at the alter. Marcus shrugged, giving the maid another wink as he followed the anxious groom. Charles shook his head "That boy and his cats. I shall never understand" he chuckled, moving to his own seat quickly.
Stephen adjusted his already pristine collar, nervous and excited about the upcoming events. Marcus picked a stray cat hair off the grooms back with a smirk. "You are almost late for you wedding because of stupid cats? You are so strange" the man teased, whispering quietly. "They are not stupid. It was your responsibility to keep an eye on me. I am quite positive that you were flirting as per usual while I managed to escape. It is your own fault" the groom shot back quietly "Now shush, the ceremony is about to begin." The best man chuckled to himself but stayed quiet non the less.
I assume that this wedding will just have the groom and best man enter from the side of the alter and not walk down the aisle.
after edelweiss knocked and asked something , Eryn slowly entered the brides room from behind edelweiss into the room , there she saw a woman with blue hair and a white dress that she had never seen before , it was as white as her skin , she slowly went towards the woman and plucked up currage " h hello.. w who are y you ?... I iam e eryn ".
In the back she could hear someone talking somewhere else but she was more wanting to talk to this person .

Uhoh. moment of truth.
"The music has started. I'm sorry but, everybody out who's not in the bridal party," Caitlin ushered the crowd. Poor girl had enough on her mind, let alone to be surrounded by all these stares. "Find your seats the wedding is already starting without you." Caitlin held the door open for everyone to shuffle along and get down stairs to their seats.
After the room cleared of everyone that needed clearing, she looked back at Ikuze. "Dont let other people influence what you decide to do. Do what you feel is best. You're the only person you have to live with no matter what, so make your mind up for you and your conscious. No one elses. Their lives are their responsibilities."
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. Safe from context. Just. Safe. --Caitlin
She blinked as one of them asked for her name. Before she could give a reply though Caitlin was already ushering them out, then addressing her. The thief turned noble took one last look in the mirror and at her own unfamiliar reflection staring back at her. She held a single gloved hand to it. "Tension is rising... Gravity hurts... Everythin's fallin' apart... Choosin' the right side... Choosin' our faith... Choosin' is what we must do... Everyone's countin' on you..." Ikuze softly sang before she sighed and gave herself a quick check over. "You know... I blame you for all this." she said, a slight smirk forming on her features. "If'n you weren't so keen on making me all lady-like in the first place... oh well. Since I doubt very much that Danielle would be up for it... rightly so... and not a sodding clue where Maeve or Rava are... was sure I'd sent out invites to them... I think..." she trailed off before coughing to compose herself. "Well... you started all this nonsense. Only fair you should be there to see it all bear fruit. Maid of honour I think the job's called?" Ikuze asked, not entirely certain herself on what exactly all the positions were. All she knew for herself was that she was to march up the aisle with Lefiruc, then stand next to Stephen, repeat the drat priests words, then... kiss him. After Caitlin had given her answer, Ikuze would begin to set off down the stairs to get into her assigned position, the sound of wedding music reaching her ears. Urgh... that bloody thing needs retuned... her inner musician grumbled. It's at least a quarter chord out!
as the music started to play, Rava know that she was running out of time . not meany people in here know where the lady of honor was for this wedding since all they talked about was the lucky lad for the most part. sneaking more into the house she know that she had to be somewhere? if she arrived at the alter before seeing her then Rava would have to leave and in a hurry since it be wrong to be in a place that your not invited to that is meant to be holy. all she was here for was to give her a gift before the wedding had chance to start. adjusting the one eyed owl mask. she continued to look around. noting where the closet exit was. as she checked each room as she searched.
(yep still going with that she didn't get the invite. if you want stuff with her , do it quick or do it later on in a different thread)

When the music started the noble visible straightened. The restless audience all settled down, turning their heads to were the bride would enter from, eager to catch sight of the beauty. Stephen closed his eye, listening to the music in order to calm his nerves. This was his wedding day, the happiest day of his life. There was not reason to be scared. This wedding will be the talk of the town. Father will be proud. Ikuze.... Opening his eyes once more, he stared blindly down the aisle, considering his future with Ikuze. The woman was good looking, in a fiery sort of way. Her personality certainly added to her allure. No day would be boring with her around, that much he knew.
As he stared down the aisle another thought occurred to him. Ikuze had been acting a little... hesitantly towards him of late. What if she did not want to get married? Queens, he knew she did not want to marry him. She was against the idea from the start, as had he. But since that terrible day in which they had been abducted together, something had changed. She saved his life that day, keeping him awake through that whole ordeal. Since that day forward he had yearned to be in her company. When ever she was around he felt nervous and excited all at the same time. He wanted to be enchanted by her happy smile again. The day she kissed him came to mind, almost making him blush. She might have meant it as a joke then but thinking back on it now it still made his heart skip a beat, even before he fully developed his feelings for her. He loved her but never told her until that little note he sent her today. He was too much of a coward to tell her in person because he had a feeling she would not say it back. It hurt to think that the person you loved the most in the world did not feel the same for you. He never blamed her though, it was not her fault this whole ordeal happened. Maybe she was hesitant because of Daniel. It was true, he still liked Daniel but she was the first girl he had every really liked. It was hard to fully forget your first love. But Daniel had pushed him away in the end. So Ikuze was the only one he truly cared for now.
Taking a deep breath he let it out shakily. If Ikuze really did not want to marry him, he would not stop her. She deserved to be happy and if she did not love him enough to want to marry him then he would let her go. Father would not even be mad. The man would probably enjoy the drama of it all. That did not mean he would stop perusing her though. He would try his hardest to become someone she could love. So he would ask her if she really wanted to go through with this before they said their vows together. If she did, Queens he would be the happiest man alive. If not.... A painful longing choked him as an image of her leaving him at the alter flashed before his eyes. It hurt to think about but he would do the right thing and let her go without a fuss. With a hopeful smile and a frantic heart, he waited patiently for his bride, dreading and anticipating the outcome all at the same time.

"One bridesmaid coming right up," Caitlin smiled as she ushered the girl out the door and to the stairs. Once they went down to the main level it would all begin like an avalanche, hard to escape, though not impossible if you were absolutely determined to outrun it. But was she? Or was she in this for the long haul? Caitlin walked ahead of Ikuze as a bridesmaid should. Her silver mask hiding her own fear of weddings as she proceeded the bride to the ceremony
Ikuze spotted Rava poking her head into the various rooms as she made her way to where the ceremony was to be held. "Pssst. Thought you weren't turning up... didn't you get the invite?" asked the thief before she was pushed back into motion by Linda who'd chosen to make a reappearance. "We're late enough as it is milady." the maid partially scolded the blue haired girl who rolled her eyes. "We'll talk later kay?" called over Ikuze before she was ushered into position. The music soon took up the bridal march theme, signalling to all that the bride had arrived.
As she slowly made her way up the aisle, with Caitlin in front of her, Ikuze was glad the veil obscured her features somewhat. She cast her eyes across the room as she passed each person by, wincing as she spotted Danielle sitting in the back. Oh how she wished she could take that afternoon back... undo the damage she had wrought... but it was too late now, and nobody had found a time travel spell yet. So now here she was, now finding herself standing side by side with Stephen, about to marry him. It was all she could do from just bolting then and there... that and trying to run in this damned corset and even thrice more damned heels would prove a momentous undertaking worthy of song. As the priest began to drone on with the usual wedding speeches, Ikuze whispered to Stephen, "She's here... sorry... your call..." was all she managed to get out before the priest gave her a stern look of disapproval, before he resumed his speech till he reached the fatal line. "Should any gathered here have good cause or reason why these two should not be wed? Speak now, or forever hold your peace."
Rava was surprised that she was spotted by Ikuze, however as Rava tried to say something the maid who was taking her disturbed her by telling them they had to go and they just went . Rava was out of time , as they left to the hall . there was not much reason for her to stick around as she didn't know she was invited , this ended up with her seeing where they just came from and left her the present, a Derivative Dagger in the style of her own old dagger with the words engraved 'para la esperanza futura' , hopping she would find it .then with that she found the nearest window , open it and climbed out and ran from the house. hoping that Ikuze would find the gift and understand why she vanished from the wedding.
(to explain , Rava has a superstition of 'holy things' that being at the wedding uninvited would bring bad luck to the people who are there at the time the bride walks up the alter , so not to risk her friend being made unlucky she only had to leave. so the talk will have to be in another thread.)
The ceremony had finally begun. Everyone stood and turned to look at the bride. Taking a deep breath, he turned to watch the procession. There she was; His bride to be. A smile lit his features. She really was beautiful. To bad he could not fully see her face because of this mask. Charles had a hug, dopey grin on his face. Everyone look pleased. Happiness seemed to bounce off every surface. This was a wedding! A celebration! A time of joy every human, Ander and/or half-Ander longed for.
Then why did he suddenly feel so... wrong. Like he did no belong here up at the alter. The smile stayed on his face the whole time like the mask he wore over his eyes. A sour feeling settled in his stomach as Ikuze took her place next to him. Turning he looked at the priest and nodded his consent for the ceremony to begin, signaling for the audience to once again take their seats. What was the matter with him? He liked Ikuze, Queens, he loved the woman. She was beautiful, entertaining to be with, and at least seemed to accept the darker secrets he hid about his life. This was perfect. Why then...
"She's here... sorry... your call..." That small statement threw off his train of thought. He blinked and turned to look at her, the smile on his face turning to a questioning grin. What exactly did Ikuze mean.... Oh. She meant Danielle. As his lips slowly turned down to a slight frown, he turned to face forward once again. The memory of his offer to be with Danielle floated back in his head. She rejected him, and that hurt him- enough to drive away most his feelings for her. What a pain it must be for her to watch Ikuze and him wed so soon after their own relationship fell apart.
All these thoughts were giving him a head and heart ache. He went through the wedding in a sort of robotic manner, playing the part of the happy groom. Now was not the time to be second guessing things. He needed to turn off his brain and do what is needed of him. Be the good boy his father and the Lodan wanted. Clarity of his situation suddenly hit him. This was the rest of his life he was signing away here. For what- to fit in? To follow orders? To be the model man this culture required, no, forced him to be? The bloody frak, he was an assassin, half-Ander, Noble. None of the titles ever fit together. No matter how hard he tried, he would never be that perfect character.
That was it then. This was his life and he needed to start living it. The priest finished his last sentence, asking for anyone to come forward if they opposed this marriage. Stephen let out a short laugh, causing the priest to jerk with alarm. Turning to Ikuze with an amused smile, he took her hand in his as the gray-blue of his eye met the sapphire of hers "Oh Anne, if only there was someone who loved you. I'm sorry but this is not what either of us wanted. Ikuze, I wish you all the luck in the world. Find the person you truly want to be with and marry them. In order for that to happen though, I must first do this." He gave her hand a light squeeze before dropping it. He turned to the priest and stated in a steady voice "I object to this wedding and shall not go through with it. Your services are not required, Sir" he said loudly with a smirk.
With that, he turned and ran out of there like his life depended on it- and it did. In order for this to work, he needed to run as fast and as far as he could from his father before the man caught him and skinned him alive. Luckily, Charles was fixed to his chair, staring in silent shock where his son had just been- not in hot pursuit to kill him. Stephen burst through the doors of his house and ran towards the merchant district- not before ripping off his mask along with his ring and tossing them at one of the servants on his way out. Wonder if he will make the papers? The Run Away Groom would probably be the headlines. Stephen snickered as he vanished into the crowd.
Stephen will be hiding away in Zona's house for now. Please nobody try and follow him or anything there but if you feel you must, by all means, try to catch him. Zona, I'll shoot you a message. Thanks!

Elaine watched in awe as a beautiful bride walked down the isle. Her blue hair resembling Zona's slightly. After meeting Stephen's ecstatic father E had settled down in a spot to just watch. She had been listening to the quiet babble of the guests as they awaited this fabled moment. With Stephen standing at the alter patiently waiting for the woman he was about to marry. The room was dead quiet in anticipation. I wonder how they feel? Excited? Dreadful? Why would you be dreadful on the best day of your life? Stephen looked at the woman and smiled. It seemed so sweet. Then the priest started plodding on in a monotone soliloquy. Elaine cast the best boredom expression she had at the priest. It's their wedding day. The least you could do is be enthusiastic."Speak now or forever hold your peace." The strange words floated in the room. The air grew tense, making E's shoulders twitch. But the thing that shocked her the most was what Stephen said. In fact it shocked everyone. What?! Her mind was reeling trying to put the broken picture back together. She watched her friend race out the door leaving the rest to sit in stunned silence. Sitting back roughly she fiddled with the hem of her dress. Then reaching up and taking the mask from her face she laid it down on the seat beside her. Staring into the silver of the of the facemask. Taking in the few moments of quiet before the commotion began.
Lefiruc took his place as the sire of the bride, or as close to it, although he did wonder what it was that Ikuze had whispered to the Leland lad. No matter... soon they shall be wed... and I can stop worrying about the future... I can maybe finally find some rest. He thought to himself... right up until Stephen declared he wasn't going to go through with it and bolted for it. It stunned the entire assembly before he looked to his blue-haired trouble-making grand-daughter and scowled at her before letting out a slow sigh, shaking his head in resignation. He then turned his attention to the Lady Cockfoster. "Which lessons have you been giving my grand-daughter I do wonder my lady Cockfoster?" he said with slight amusement in his tone before he turned his focus to the assembled guests. "Well... it would appear, that there shall not be a wedding this day... Unless someone cares to take the groom's place?" said Lefiruc before noticing the dark glare Ikuze shot him. "I jest of course... Apologies for any inconvenience this may have caused you all." he said, before taking a bow and departing the room. Looks like I won't be allowed to rest any time soon... plus now I've got to find a new lad for her... Maybe that young Daniel? Lefiruc mused.
Ikuze took in a slow breath, preparing herself to say the final words, and just as the priest was about to continue with the ceremony, Stephen laughed. It was an unusual sound to be sure. She looked at him, even as he looked at her and held her hand. "I'm sorry but this is not what either of us wanted. Ikuze, I wish you all the luck in the world. Find the person you truly want to be with and marry them. In order for that to happen though, I must first do this." For a moment she couldn't believe her ears. Is this really happening? Or have I just collapsed from lack of air from this damnable corset? she thought to herself even as Stephen turned to the Priest. "I object to this wedding and shall not go through with it. Your services are not required, Sir." Ikuze couldn't help but laugh as well as she watched Stephen make a run for it, running faster than anyone she'd seen run before that wasn't being chased by a mob with blades hungry for blood. Her peals of laughter were the only sound in the hall for a small while before the guests all broke out into various fits of responses. When her grand-father spoke however she gave him a look that could kill for even making the damnable suggestion. The blue haired former bride then looked out to the audience, trying to spot Danny until she saw her at the back, and gave the blonde a small smile and a nod.
"Not entirely what I had in mind..." she said quietly, glad for the guests being so loud in their own voices. Ikuze wiped away a single tear from her face that had come out during her laughter. Ikuze then looked at Caitlin and gave a smile. "Well... not as amazing as yours was. Sorry about that." apologised the thief, before she returned to chuckling. Well... wasn't a bride supposed to enjoy her wedding day?

Not exactly what she had expected... usually the rogues were the ones slipping the bridal noose, not the law abiding citizen, especially not the gentry... She grinned like a fool at Stephen's exit, knowing that Ikuze heart was divided on the whole affair anyway and she'd need more time if nothing else - just to know how she felt about being his wife. Becoming one before knowing she wants to be one was a risky business - in the event she discovers its not what she wants after the fact and becomes too late to change...
Mr. Storms remark sobered her up and she rearranged her expression to one more fitting for a lady in the shock and awe of a run-away groom.
"I assure you sir, this was not my doing, nor your grandaughters." Ikuze comment immediately after the fact did nothing to support her lady-like answer. She didn't care so much, she smiled back at the girl and winked. "No need to be sorry, it's not a contest after all." But she didn't mind winning if it was

Here it comes. Danny sat stony eyed beneath her full face skull mask and watched. Stephen and Ikuze were going to be married, then she could wash her hands of the whole venture. The vows were being spoken. It was about to happen. This was it...
And it didn't happen. No. Instead the selfish murderer ran off and left her at the altar. Danny's eyes turned back up to Ikuze just in time to see the blue haired devil nod. No. No. NO! NO NO NO NO NO NO NO! Danny sat quietly for a moment as she let her body catch up with her mind. She took one look at Lasair, another look at the former bride and her entourage, and jumped ship. She leaped over the back of her bench and crashed through the door. She'd find that cretin, that's for sure. She'd find him, and she'd hurt him. Alot...
