Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Smiling slightly as the little girl took the candy, Lasair returned his attention to Danielle. “So, do you plan on staying for the reception? I heard the desserts are going to be out of this world.” He was hoping to make conversation, and possibly have the time pass faster, as the young masculine lady seemed to want to get this over with.
After fiddling nervously he finally managing to properly dress himself: An open black silk jacket showed an ornate off-white vest accompanied by a cream cravat. A small diamond stud pinned the cravat to his collared shirt, keeping it in place. The noble looked over his reflection with a hash eye, making sure everything was in place. Nodding in satisfaction he removed his eye patch, blinking as his feline eye was blinded by the sudden light. Reaching down, he picked up the ornate mask and examined it. The goggle lens for the left eye was completely blacked out so no one would see the feline eye beneath it. Other then a few ornamentations the mask was a simple piece of leather.
"Marcus, I think you should go deliver the gift to Ikuze now" he instructed, putting on the mask as he turned to his friend. Marcus had already broken into a bottle of wine and was sipping on it, earning him a disapproving frown from the noble. "Aw, do it yourself!" the man huffed, getting up anyways. "You know as well as I that I am not permitted to see the bride until I meet her on the alter. If I could, I would but I can't, so I shan't" he replied with a roll of his eyes. Marcus grinned, picking up the gift then walked towards the door. "Don't pass out or anything before I get back, you hear?" he teased, exiting the room. Stephen stood there in silence, fiddling with the rose- teal to match Ikuze's hair- pinned to his left breast. If only he could be with his cats; they might sooth his nerves. Alas, Charles had the caged up, rambling on about how they would trip the guests. It was entirely unfair. If anyone deserved to go to his wedding, it was them. Maybe he could let them out before Marcus came back...
Marcus weaved through the crowded place with ease, winking at every lady he walked past. Reaching the bride's room he knocked on the door and announced his presence "It is I, Marcuse, bearing gifts for the bride! A present for the lovely Ma'am from the groom himself!" he called out, playing up the part. In his hands was a bouquet of red roses with baby's breath and green foliage. Clasping the wrappings around the flowers was a hair pin with small diamonds and aquamarine gems fitted around a larger diamond. A small note was slipped under the clasp. It read:
"Doubt thou the stars are fire,
Doubt that the sun doth move,
Doubt truth to be a liar,
but never doubt I love"
-Hamlet. II.ii.124-127
My apologies for being cliché but I could not put it any other way.
I await your arrival at the alter.
-Stephen
Charles was busy talking to everyone in his booming voice. His boy was getting married today! Nobody was more proud than he. Spotting Elaine Anncroft he rushed over with a huge grin. "Good Day Ma'am!" he boomed loudly, towing over the small woman like a walking tank. He took her hand lightly, as if holding a delicate flower and bowed "I do not believe we have met! I am Charles Leland, father of the groom!" he boasted proudly.
Linda was going over the final preparations and touches to Ikuze's attire when the knocking came. When Marcus' voice came through, both women seemed a trifle irritated at the interruption, although for differing reasons. The maid went to the door, opened it, raising a brow at the sight of the present from Stephen. "Thank you sir." she said, collecting them before politely closing the door in his face. The blonde was adamant that nobody was seeing the bride until the wedding proper itself. Even the brides own grandfather Lefiruc was not being allowed admittance. Linda handed Ikuze the bouquet along with the hair clip and note that came with it. "Wow..." the thief said as she slowly read the note. "He... He really... oh God..." said Ikuze, tears forming in her eyes.
The maid quickly pulled out a handkerchief and began to dab away at the brides moistening eyes. "See? He's an alright sort." the maid said as she smiled softly at her mistress. She then put the pin gently into Ikuze's styled mane, arranging it just so. "There we go... something new. Something old," she said, gesturing to the gown Ikuze now wore, "something blue, that was always going to be covered." the maid giggled. "Now you just need something borrowed..." Whilst Linda looked around for an appropriate item to fulfill the task, Ikuze simply looked down at the flowers and the note, a sensation of regret and shame filling her soul. Danny... oh God I am so sorry Danny...
it had been one of them days that Rava had , she had only heard about tis wedding a day ago and didn't get an invite at all , well this didn't stop her from going , she slipped in under the cover of a red dress and a mask of a one eyed owl that she 'got' from a shop, her hair was tide back into a ball with a small hair peace that was detailed with diamonds. with a small bag and a fan in hand to flutter herself as she tried to find someone who know her as she had never been to a wedding before that she had not crashed. this was a learning experience for her since if she was gonna get married one day then she needed to know what it be like.
she asked around privet between the groups of people where was the bride and that she was her friend.
(Rava is here now Ikuze, if you got any ideas for her to meet before the start do so now or hold peace.)

Elaine had been watching the man who was running around nearly jumping with excitment. When he rushed over to her and introduced himself a wide grin spread across her face under the small mask she had brought. It wasn't anything fancy but it did look like a silver mouse. Just something elegant and sweet looking. He took her hand gently and introduced himself as Stephen's father. "Elaine Annecroft! I am a friend of the groom from the Theater. Pleased to meet you!" She laughed at his enthuasiam. "You must be very proud of your son!" Elaine thought back a brief moment to the first day she had met Stephen. Like actually met him. She had given him a cat. The wedding was bustling with many people but was completely devoid of cats. Must have put them up. She made a small mental note to speak with him later and not forget the gifts she had gotten for him and one for the bride.

Caitlin's father were fashionably late, as could be expected, but she was on time, though few would have noticed as the Baroness slipped right up the stairs to the ladies waiting room to find the bride. She heard the maids remark from outside the door and knew she'd found the suite at last. Pushing the door open she cleared her throat and stepped in, smiling.
"I Think I can help you with that," She said, and handed over a small silver box. "Congratulations Ikuze. Here's a little sparkle for you to wear, and I daresay it will match perfectly with that clip of yours."
Caitlin handed off the gift and stepped back to give the girl room. She herself was dressed in silver, same shade as the box, with a silver mask outlined with the soft strands of black feathers. There were three tiny gemstones cornering each eye with a little sparkle. She brushed down wrinkles in her dress and appraised her novice. When the maid moved away to do some maidly business Caitlin leaned forward to whisper.
"If at any time you decide you don't want to do this, say the word, and I'll get you out of it. I'm kind of an expert at ending engagements by now, so..." she smirked but it wasn't a malicious thing. She hoped Ikuze was happy with the arrangement, but if not, she hoped the girl knew who to turn to for help escaping it.
She sat her glass down next to the decanter and leaned back. This was nice... like falling into a vat of marshmallow fluff. Calm, muffled, the rest of the world blocked out by the closed door to his cabin, and here they were safe inside. Safe from reality, safe from their own complicated lives. Safe from duty. (well there are more then 5 people here , so here Eryn , just to cover both brides and grooms side )
Eryn arrived with Edelweiss, she spend the morning at the theater getting makeup and clothes to go with the theme of the even , she had been to a wedding before but not an above world one , as well as a 'Halloween thing' her white skin made look dead so they dressed her up into a little ghost so she didn't have to wear a mask , she was amazed at the place as they entered as all the things people they had on there face as well as how they where, it was dark enough for her to have her goggles off , as they sat down Eryn notice someone familiar in the front row "Lone your here too!" she said with a smile as she tried to get to her friend. this was going to be a fun day.

Lone jumped in her seat a little as she heard somebody call her name, and turned around on the chair on her knees. A small smile came to her lips as she saw who it was. It was her friend Eryn, and she was dressed up kind of spooky. Now that Lone thought about it, everybody here was dressed up kind of spooky. The feeling of being out of place washed over her for a split-second, but she decided to push that thought aside for the moment, as she unwrapped her piece of caramel and split it in half, holding part of it out to Eryn.
Linda almost screamed at the intruder to get out before realising it was Baron Cockfoster's daughter and immediately shut her mouth. Ikuze couldn't help but chuckle at the maid's reactions, earning a pouting scowl from the girl. "Why don't you go see how things are going on Stephen's end?" she suggested, Linda looking between the two before curtseying and exiting the room. Once the maid was gone Ikuze let out a sigh before she walked to the window, looking out once more. "I don't think that your method of escape is going to work out quite so well here..." said Ikuze, referring to Caitlins infamous piratical abduction from her own wedding. She looked back at the card that Stephen had sent with the flowers. "...And I don't know any more..." she said, offering it to the Pirate Queen to read. "I think... I think the idiot's actually fallen for me..." said the thief with a heavy heart. "And I... I invited his girlfriend before me to the wedding... I'd hoped that those two would get together... to, I don't know... But they're both stubborn as mules..." admitted Ikuze with a sigh. "I've made a drat mess of things..."

"Lassy, I'm here for one reason only. The bride to be threatened me if I didn't show up, and as hard as it is to live with a noble who doesn't care for you at all, it's worse to live with a noble you managed to piss off. So I'll stay as long as is required for me to be polite, and then I'm leaving." Danny cocked her head to the side as she spoke to Lasair. Her voice came out rapidly, almost as though she were furious, but her body language seemed perfectly relaxed. Bored, even. She looked down at Lone and Eryn before she stood up and looked around. No sense in her foul mood ruining the two girls' time. Danny walked to the front doors and picked a bench outside to sit on.

Danielle’s reaction seemed a bit out of place, at least from Lasair’s point of view. One should not be calm while their voice was anything but, and yet that's what she had done. Lasair stayed in his seat another five or so minutes before decided to follow after Danielle. if she wanted to be alone, he would leave her be, but he wanted to at least check on her.
He stood up and casually made his way through the forming crowd, smiling and nodding to all he passed and made sure he didn't look like he was in a hurry. Walking towards the front doors, he spotted her sitting on a bench, the skull mask still hiding view of any facial expression. He didn’t sit down next to her, instead choosing to stand next to the bench. When he did speak up, he was gentle with his voice. “I can see you have a lot going on. Whether they be problems or simply things that cause you unhappiness. I don’t have much advice to offer, but I will say this; talking to someone can help more than you’d expect. Keeping it to yourself sounds and feels safer, and many people do that, but sometimes just talking can help.”
Taking a piece of caramel from his pocket, he unwrapped it and started chewing slowly. He only carried candy around when going to special events or parties, as children always liked sweet things. He was doing his best to stay calm and not empathize with how she felt; as much as he wanted to help her, descending into sadness would not help anyone right now. Seeing someone who wasn't having a good time, or at least a calm time, was something that Lasair always kept an eye out for, and always wanted to change.
"oooooh~" gently taking the peace of the caramel that Lone gave to her she popd it into her mouth which then suddenly another bust of sweet sensation "waaaaaaa~ , its so good ~ " this wedding + Halloween thing was turn out to be really fun, so much fun that she wanted to look around " hay Lone , want to look around this place before what ever starts starts ? i bet we could find something cool~" she said , using a world she learned from Edelweiss
(a mini adventure in the house would be fun to do)

That caught the baronesses attention. She walked over to the window and looked out at the que of arriving guests. "Who, pray tell, might his ex girlfriend be? Anyone I know?" She couldn't resist this bit of gossip. What if she had known the girl? What kind of a mess were they all in? and was there anything to do with that knowledge given the addition of the Leland boy's love letter to his bride?
Caitlin turned away from the window and Looked at Ikuze. Really looked at her. "What do you want out of this, Ikuze, no matter what anyone else thinks, the decisions you make have to come from and be right for- you -" something a certain commander had tried to teach her, on a certain dinner date not long ago. They all had to decide what lives they would live, because they were the ones who had to live with those decisions after all.
Danny made a quiet scoffing sound. "Yeah... right... Letting someone in's how I ended up here. That bride to be and her groom? They're friends... sort of. And they screwed me over!" Danny slammed her fist down on the bench, almost as if to accentuate her statement. "So you'll forgive me if I'm not too keen on being screwed twice."
Her outburst finished, Danny leaned back against the bench and let out a long sigh. Once this day was over, she never had to see them again. Just gotta make it through today... She looked at Lasair for a moment before her gaze returned to the sky. "Sorry about that. I don't normally vent to strangers."

A bit surprised by the outburst, it was over before Lasair could really react to it. So that was her problem; betrayed by the couple to be. He had seen this sort of pain before. It was not one he could easily fix, sadly. And he really had been hoping to see Danielle cheer up. Shaking his head slowly, he replied to her. “Don’t be sorry. As I said, talking can help quite a bit. You did not have to say much, nor ‘let me in’ as you put it, but you still got to release some of those painful emotions.” He followed her gaze to the sky, noticing that there were still guests showing up, but not nearly as many as there had been before. Hopefully the wedding would start soon.
