Open to CAEsAL: Max's Trial
The actors and actresses took deep bows as the crowd applauded joyfully. Shakespeare plays were always huge hits with the audience. A hooded figure nodded approvingly back stage. The figure was none other then Stephen Leland himself, second in command of CAEsAL. He thoroughly enjoyed the timeless plays of Shakespeare so he had stayed the whole performance to watch it from back stage. Entertainment purposes were not the only reasons as to why he was here at the theater tonight. There was some new initiates to test.
After the curtains were lowered, other hooded members went to Stephen's side. "We got 'em all" said the taller of the group. Stephen nodded then paused. Something was off. He counting the group members with a confused frown "Where is the fourth member of your party?" "Bartender messed up on one of the sleeping liquids so one of the recruits attacked Slip" pipped up an annoyed female voiced figure next to the hooded figure that had spoken first. Stephen gave Bartender-the first man who had spoken- an annoyed look. Bart smiled sheepishly "Slip'll be okay! 'e just got ah lil hurt" "He got stabbed in tha leg! I doubt if 'e'd be able ta walk again!" spat back the female. Stephen waved his hand dismissively before anyone else could respond "Zorn, stop making a fuss. Your boyfriend will be fine. Bart, if you mess up again, I will pull you from the retrieval missions. I do not need careless idiots like you running around" he snapped. With that he turned to and walked towards the familiar broom closet, ignoring the sputtering from the female member behind him. The sooner that woman admitted she liked Slip, the better for all of them.
After knocking quietly on the door it swung open, allowing a small stream of light into the dark, musty cellar. The room was already occupied with a handful of other hooded figures. In the middle of the room waited the nervous initiates who had managed to capture the secret organizations attention and warranted a trial. Their eyes were blind folded and their wrists were bound. They were rounded up and herded here to await their destinies, and chance the fates.
