Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
(OPEN TO ALL) "GAAAAAaaaah man...I really gotta start going out more often...gonna end up being so pale, I'll burn to a crisp the moment I step into the sun," said Amon as a stretched outside of his shop. He had been locked up in the back of his shop working on a project for quite some time, and tired of being cooped up, he stepped out of his shop to get some air...and the first rays of sunshine in days.
As he stood in front of his shop, he glanced around the district, glad for once for the crowds, for the more people in the district, the more money the guild makes. Which is a good thing.
Usually...Lodan had an odd habit of just loosing its collective stuff during city-wide events, what with the number of drunken fights that occur late into the party.
"...I should probably invest in a first aid skill at some point..." muttered Amon, "...Just in case."

Iacomus slipped his way through the crowds, his umbrella outstretched above him as protection against the sun which creeped it's way up to the top of the sky. He glanced at the shops and specticals around him, all while navigating through the seas of bobbing heads and the medium rumble of voices, taking in the sights. He wished to acquire a shop here. It would certainly help him with his --- business, shall we say, and Lodan seemed like a wonderful place to live.
While meandering, he heard someone mumble to themselves, and, being his rather outgoing self, decided to reply. He slid next to the person who had muttered so, a shopowner, it seemed. Iacomus saw that the man had a robotic arm, but didn't take much notice. "Why, yes!" He said frivolously in reply to the mumbling that was not meant for him, "First-Aid and other such medical abilities are very useful to know!"
Clancy was sad. He already sold 2 of his guns today and just finished selling his 3th. All of the beauties. It was like watching his children go off and get married, which was kinda odd because he was getting payed for them and he never had any children and probably never would. After his customer left, he ran to the door and turned the sign so that it read 'closed'. The people who by guns never wanted to chat much, which was sad and a tad boring so he felt the need to convers with someone. Stepping out he glanced around, spotting Amon outside. That's a relief; he'd really been suspecting that man of being a vampire.
He trotted over to where Amon was, easily slipping through the crowd given his height. When he arrived at his destination, there seemed to be someone already chatting to Amon. A someone he had recently met. "Hiya! Whatcha doing out in the sunlight Amon? You might burn up and sunburns hurt, trust me! I see ya met Mr. Lerwick! Good ta see ya again! What ya up to?" he asked with a smile.

"...Note to self: stop thinking out loud in public," thought Amon. "...Yeah...true," he replied to the stranger. "And please Clancy, I'm not that pale, I do get some sun every so often..." he said, rubbing his temples with his left hand. He glanced up, and looked at the two gentlemen.
"Wait...you know each other...?"

"We met very briefly" Iacomus said slowly, still smiling. "I decided to enter his shop one day while exploring. You see, I wish to acquire a place myself, and I thought I may as well introduce myself to the locals! My name is Iacomus Lerwick, but you can call me whatever you like, my sun-avoiding friend." He winked and chucked to himself.
"mmmh! We had a nice long chat! Are ya gonna see if ya can get into tha guild?" he asked excitedly. That would be fun, someone in this guild who actually likes chatting- not that he was saying the others were bad at talking or something, it just seemed Iacomus was more willing to have a conversation with him then others.

"I'm going to try!" Iacomus said to Clancy with a bemused smile. "I have enjoyed exploring this town so far. This district, I think, would be a great place to set up shop. It seems to always be busy and bustling, as far as I can see!"
"Man, we are slowly regaining popularity," Amon thought with a small smile. That, and there would be someone for Clancy to talk to. That was always a plus.
"So, Iacomus, what sort of craft do you practice?"

Iacomus' eyes seemed to light up at the mention of his occupation. "Ah! I sell organs, you see! I collect them and preserve them, and then I sell them! They typically go medical or scientific research establishments and what not, but other people buy them too!" He laughed to himself a little. "I also sell shrunken heads for those who like them for decoration, but that's a sort of side thing that goes along with the trade." He chuckled again.
"...wha..." started Amon, staring at Iacomus with an incredulous look. "...You know what, I'm not going to ask any further. You are easily the oddest person I have met thus far (and that is saying something), but if it sells, it sells," said Amon, throwing his arms into the air.
"Clancy, since you two know each other, why don't you help him pick out a shop while I get the keys and paperwork," he said, going back into his shop to retrieve the aforementioned items.
"Okay then: 1) beef up security around the place, and 2) learn first aid asap," thought Amon.

Iacomus laughed heartily. "I'll take that as a compliment! Thank you, Mr... Amon, was it?" Then with a smirk, he took of his hat and twirled it around his hand as he bent over for a dramatic bow. As he stood up, he placed his hat back on his head and then leaned on his umbrella as one might do with a cane.
"Ooo! I get to help him set up shop? Oh I feel so important right now!!! Isn't his job so interesting?! I thought so too! Ah, come on Iacomus! I'll find ya tha perfect place! I think there's this nice little shop that's vacant right next to mine! Ya always get to see the best sunsets from this side of town. Oh and there's this nice little bakery just a ways down the street! We could get muffins each morning together! I always forget to eat so it would probably be good to have a reason to go out every once and a while. How does that sound?" he pointed in the direction of the shop as he talked then turned back to Iacomus with a huge grin.

With a smile, Iacomus winked, then tipped his hat at the brim. "That sounds like you'll be a pleasure to work next to! I do like my muffins." Chuckling, he started to strut in the direction in which Clancy had pointed.
With a happy laugh Clancy speed walked after Iacomus "Muffins are great, ain't they? I'm so happy to have someone to talk to! I could introduce you to all the others too if ya want! There's Viktor: he runs the vehicle shop over there. He's very nice but can get easily angered so try not to upset him or something. He's got his funny little brother Nikolai: he's got a secret but I'm not sure if I can tell ya. You'll just have ta ask Viktor about it himself. Gabriel is over there. He has the watch shop; speaks very formal like but he's nice enough I suppose- I haven't really met him. There's Mulven, he constructs things in the blink of an eye. It's really amazing to watch. He may act a little pompous but he's actually a pretty good guy I think. Ya already met Amon, the leader of our guild. He owns the toy shop but he really is a robotics genius!! We have a while bushel of talented people over here! And now we got you! You'll be a great addition to our group!" he said cheerily, finally arriving at the shop next to his own. "Here we are! Tada! What do ya think?" he asked with excited, eager eyes.
