For many years there was an item the magician lugged around with him despite that it lacked any purpose or use. A golden pocket watch with a cracked lens and immobilized hands became a sort of trinket to him that although he would never be able to hold it while functioning would still be in his possession. Because of his andersweltler heritage, he had no cause to fix the watch before but now as more days passed and he had remained stationary within the city rather than moving from town to town like he had been doing for so long he found himself reflecting on the trivial item. Oh how it nagged at him that he had never once seen it function. Of course, when his mother had handed it to him the thing was already broken as she had been an andersweltler as well and since they had been in her hands before his it was only natural to assume she had broken it.
Needless to say, after much thought and consideration, the entertainer found himself strolling down the Merchanic's lane where a particular shop caught his attention. If he could get it fixed and see it move at least once he would be satisfied and would not be bothered when those troublesome hands lay motionless once more. Entering the shop, he is quite taken aback at seeing Stephen standing there already. It was funny how it seemed every time he ventured out on special occasions that did not require work that he should find the noble but unlike Stephen Addison did not stray to inspect the contents of the shop. Instead, he stood in the center equally away from all clockwork things so as to not disrupt them. At first he wore no smile but his face was not one of disapproval either. He was merely neutral to the whole thing if not tired. After a moment he put on a faint smile and lifted his top hat from his head before addressing his co-worker. "Good day to you, Stephen," then he glanced away to find the owner of the shop.
