Matches wore his gloating expression proudly as everyone leaned in to examine the cards. "Clever aint they? Travel size, sharp efficient and," As-Nas took a bow and Regis face went ashen at the mockery. Matches laughed boisterously but he wasn't alone. The other kid tied on the floor found the situation amusing as well. "Alright then misses high and mighty, tell us how your pup fared?" He pointed to Stephen and Regis wasted no time hoisting him to his feet. She cut his bonds and put her hand out to shove As-Nas out of the way, except Matches was just a split second ahead of her and tugged the guy on the shoulder back a few steps. "Way to go makin enemies with queeny over there," He whispered in Addison's ear. "you get my stamp of approval" he added in another hushed tone.
"Hrmph, mine did better than a cheap card trick, so you'll be paying me 50 europium Matches, you can count on it." She centered Stephen under the light so everyone could see him like this was some sort of class show and tell. "Tank and I picked the right kid to follow tonight. This one's a clever boots, double checking his facts and juggling his variables." Yeah- variables, that was a nice way of saying he let a kid become his priority, but she wasn't about to point out his faults when there was a wager on the table. "We've decided to call him Triune, since he's the perfect triad of judge- jury- and executioner cause the kid's got it all. G'head and ask him how he did it.." She prompted. The third CAEsAL team who hadn't presented their own clever boots yet just smirked. One of them, a guy with a nasty scar across his throat (they all had lowered their hoods by now) went ahead and asked the question.
"Ok Triune, how did you do it?"
