Thadeus "Thrakazog" Stevenson
The war was over, not yesterday, a bit longer than that, but she waited for the dust to settle before scratching a certain itch that had been consuming her. Now was a good time, and she didn't feel the need to wait any longer.
As such, Clairee found herself in unfamiliar territory on the shoreline, walking the pier looking for a ship with the words "Dauntless" painted on its haul. Her eyes squinted in the sunshine as she tried her best to find the ship that would guide her to a fairly new acquaintance. One whom she'd promised to take to the farm in exchange for his promise to take her out to sea and to a soft beach lined with seashells she could collect and bring back home again.
"Er, excuse me--" the man she was trying to talk to brushed past her roughly shouldering her aside and hollaring back "watchit" as he barreled on with his pack on his shoulder, heading down one of the jetties.
"Oh, ok." She stepped aside and glanced around again. Should she go northward or southward? She didn't realize how far along the coast that the sea port stretched. How was she supposed to find one man in all of this? No matter how tall and imposing that one man might be...
"Pardon but," she tried again, lifting a hand like a child timidly asking a question in class. "Can - mr! Can yes you, can you tell me where the Daunt---allllrighty then." She took too long and the fellow who'd paused to give her the time of day rolled his eyes and moved on.
Deciding she'd be better off finding it herself she picked a side and started down the coast, eyeballing each ship with squinty eyed scrutiny as she walked by.
