"The problem with mutiny is that it occurs over time. Yes, an individual uprising may ignite the most notable affects, but that comes with preparation, with brooding. Mutiny is a slow acting agent. It starts in the mind of a selected few, and it grows larger. If successful, mutiny will spread to others, will find more hosts that share patient zero’s ideals. But, ideals can only go so far. Mutiny is merely just a word, a hypothesis when thought about, yet it becomes a principle once acted upon."- Anonymous
There will be a knock on the door. Not a gentle knock, either. A harsh knock, and once the door opens, EIRAL will be standing there. Three soldiers, either tall or short but hard to distinguish will stand, their face covered. They will give a simple order. “Hold out your hand.” If you comply, they’ll put a little mechanism in your hand.
If you do not comply, they’ll force you. They’ll take your hands, will pin them behind your back and press the mechanism to your cheek. If the little tick tock of the gears screeches like a bird’s call in the early morning, then that is all that they need to know. The search is over. The time for cleansing is now.

Nearing Midnight on a late Summer’s day, the head leaders of EIRAL were still at the castle, speaking to the Queen about the current state of affairs. In their absence, a large group of EIRAL soldiers (at least half) began patrolling the streets of Lodan. A larger portion approached the lean-to shelters in the Central Square and began administering a “test.” In the beginning, the soldiers were quite civil with pleasantries and so forth, yet the fact that they shielded their face alerted some that there was something wrong. After all, EIRAL normally did not let their soldiers patrol with covered faces. In little to no time, wails were heard as Ander families were pulled from shelters once “the test” had been performed. No one was excluded, not even nobles. As far as the renegade soldiers could go, that is where they went. The mansions were easier, it seemed, for the rogue soldiers knew who was an Ander and who was not. The lower classes were not as easy due to lack of data, yet their solution was the same: find, take, eliminate.
CAEsAL territory was generally spared from EIRAL records for having anders, but that did not stop the soldiers from approaching it. Although they avoided the areas protected by CAEsAL Bouncers, theatergoers and performers once out on the streets were not as difficult to test. They were guided to the side, in a mass group, and were tested individually. Once individuals passed or failed the test, they were separated and taken to different locations. This occurred before any of the other executions were performed.
When people began realizing what was happening, it was too late. Gunshots were delivered to the victims’ heads and torsos, resulting in a massacre, a “solution” as framed by some of the rogue soldiers.
The rogue EIRAL soldiers, large in number, prowled the streets testing as many as they could with trinkets that they kept in a bag on their side. When the trinkets were gone, then the soldiers would leave. Yet, opposition to their methods was bound to occur. This opposition (if weak) was met with force and exterminated. If the opposition was too strong, then the soldiers were to flee. Regardless, the end result was the same: find, take, eliminate, which included those who sided with Anders. This was a “night of reckoning, a night for decency, a night for humankind,” the rogue soldiers chanted amongst themselves.
“For Alistair, for Lodan, for all!” The night cry would end, but the massacre would rage on until the soldiers fled, retreating into the surrounding forests and into underground caverns.
The heads of EIRAL, as it has been reported, were apprehended at the Queen’s palace at the time and were unaware of the current state of affairs. Once alerted, they were unable to leave due to being blockaded by rogue soldiers. Investigations are currently being held to see who is responsible for this treason, as it is treason.
A formal response to this matter will be published soon for all those to read. In the meantime, anyone who sees someone suspicious or recognizes a soldier from the rogue group, report to the EIRAL office immediately. Do not go to a neighboring guard, as they could be one of the rogue soldiers.
