Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap

Open to Lasair Landevier LupenKeefe smiled a bit as he made his way through town. He was looking for someone in particular, someone he hadn't seen in a while. This someone was actually one of the first people he met when he came to this wonderful place. He was actually one of the few people Keefe knew in this city. But none the less he was in search of him. Keefe wondered around a bit as he thought about were Lasair may be, after all there were so many spots to look in a large city like this. He could be at the docks, or the theater district, in the merchants district, god forbid in the forest. There were even places like the hovel or the queens garden. Anywhere really. Keefe stopped in the middle of central square to look around a bit. All he could do was Hope that he could Find Lasair before the end of the week.

As luck would have it, Lasair was in the Central Square on at least one of the days Keefe came looking for him. What the red haired man was up to was a mystery, but he did happen to notice Keefe wandering among the streets and decided it was time to pay the man a visit and see how life had been. After all, the artist boy seemed to be more elusive than Zona was these days. Odd, given the guild Zona dwelled in.
“Hey Keefe,” Lasair greeted the kid, walking up with a light smile on his face. “Long time no see. How’s life been?” There was so much they could catch up on, but it would be best to start with the present.

As Keefe heard his name his smile grew that much bigger, after all the one who called him was the one he was looking for. "Lasair!" Keefe said with a smile as he turned around some to greet the man. "It has been far too long!" He added, happy that his search for the man was over before it really even started. "Life has been wonderful! I couldn't ask for anything better! In fact I was actually just looking for you. I have something I need to ask you, but that can wait for the moment. How have you been? I feel like I haven't see you in months!" Keefe said with excitement in is voice.

“I’ve been well Keefe, and I’m happy to hear you have been too.” A smile came to the velvet’s face, unable to resist the infectious excitement coming from the taller Ander. People were still moving around the pair of them, who were just standing in the middle of the street. So Lasair gestured for Keefe to follow him to an area that wasn’t quite as busy. “What is it you’d like to ask me? You can’t just say you have a question without following up with it. Spit it out!” Lasair jested with a larger grin, eager to hear what the blond kid had to share.

"Ok. Ok. OK. Alright. I'll tell you." Keefe said, saying everything so quickly that it ended up just being a blurry, mumbled mess of words. "Not sure if you know or not, but just a few days ago I asked Elaine to Marry me! She said yes of course, which makes me soo happy! To think I can be calling her my wife soon! And I would be her husband!" Keefe rambled some, his excitement overflowing, and his smile growing that much bigger, "Oh but the question I had for you was this: I was wondering if you would care to be my best man at my wedding! It would mean so much to me if you were, if not that's fine I understand I would just hope that you could make it to the wedding when it rolls around." Keefe said as he looked to Lasair, his eyes somewhat big and filled with wonder, "So what do you say? Care to be my best man?"

His face broke out into shock as Keefe explained. He needed a moment to understand that, wow, Elaine was going to get married, to Keefe, the kid that Lasair had set her up with at the Festival of Hearts so long ago. He smiled as he laughed a little bit, happy that the lovebirds had taken to each other so well. “I’d be honored to be your best man,” he answered in a happy tone, nodding his head to the blond boy (who was taller than him. Such an odd thing really). “When is the wedding? What do you need me to help with? Here let’s talk about it over some coffee.” Lasair chuckled again and waved Keefe forward, realizing that they should get comfortable before Lasair began attacking him with a series of questions. It had been a while since Lasair attended a wedding, but he did know how things usually went at them. Namely, that the brides make the most decisions. But there were still things Keefe needed to tend to, and by extension, things Lasair would need to worry about too.

Keefe smiled and let out a small laugh, he was excited to see the reaction that came from Lasair, and he couldn't be happier with it. "Yes. Let's find a spot to sit down and talk." Keefe said as the two made their way to a small and local little cafe. It wasn't all to busy there, so talking to one another would be no problem, and with how many spots there were to sit the choice to sit away from everyone or near them all was up in the air.
Once the two made a diction on where to sit Keefe smiled a bit as he looked around, "This is a nice little place." He said before turning back to Lasair. "The first thing I should say is thank you. I'm so glad you agreed to be my best man!" Keefe said with a wide smile, "You were the first and only person who came to mind when I was thinking about this."

Smiling as they sat down, Lasair nodded to his comment about it being a nice place and then leaned back in his chair, already thinking through the different plans they’d need to work on. “No need to thank me any more than necessary right now. I’m your friend and I’m honored to be your best man. Do you plan on having anyone else stand up at the altar with you guys?” The average number would usually be three or four, but some people had more or less depending on how many good friends they had around. The exact number didn’t matter so much, so long as there were the same number of people on each side. Elaine would probably choose Zona to be her maid of honor, which meant Lasair would be walking with her in the ceremony… Not his favorite idea, but he’d be able to manage it. “Did you two pick out a date for it yet?” Another important question, so that Lasair would have a time window to work in.

"Well for me, I wasn't really planning on having anyone other than you..." Keefe said somewhat shamefully. He didn't really know too many people here, and half the people he did know seemed to be gone at the moment. "But as for Elaine I'm sure she will have a few! I think she said something about Zona, I don't recall if she wanted her to be a bridesmaid or the maid of honor, but I'm sure she has other people. And as for the time, we haven't decided on anything yet. She has been busy with work and what not so we have't had too much time to talk, plus I did just ask her." Keefe said as he thought back to that moment, smiling some at the thought. Turning back to Lasair he smiled some, "I was thinking maybe for a winter wedding, though I don't know if Elaine would like that." Keefe said, he always did like winter, even if it was cold.

Lasair nodded along, realizing that most of the details were still up in the air. That wasn’t mad, it meant he still had time to be flexible with everything, but it also meant that he didn’t know when exactly he’d be working too. Pros and Cons. But knowing sooner was always better than knowing later. “You’ll have to discuss the details with her, but make sure you pick out a date first. Then decide where you want the ceremony to be, usually you go with the church of the bride’s choice. After the ceremony is the reception and that’s where the big gathering will be. You’ll need an open space for that. Start with finding those things out and then get back to me. If you guys need help deciding, I can be a wedding planner too.” He flashed a light smile to the other man, turning through the ideas in his head.
“From there, there’s other things you’ll need to figure out too, but those are the important ones to start with. As the groom, your main responsibility will be paying for most of it. You’ll also need to get your tux, but you simply must make sure it’s a color that matches her dress. And well, just help her make decisions through out it all. I’ll handle the rest. Like the bachelor party.” Lasair flashed another smile and waited to see if he needed and information repeated.

Keefe nodded her and there as his friend spoke knowing some of the fact he said and finding out some of the other ones. "I have been saving up for a long while now, so money hopefully won't be an issue, if it is I'll find a way to get it." Keefe said as he sat up some, thinking of all that will have to be done. "As for the actually plans I'll be meeting up with Elaine next week to talk more about this, actually sit down and talk. I didn't think bringing it up right after giving her the ring would have been a good idea." He said with a small smile and a shrug.

Chuckling, Lasair matched Keefe’s smile before speaking further. “What would you do if she left the decisions to you? Where would you pick for the ceremony and reception?” It was generally a good idea to prepare these things before sitting down to chat, and this way Lasair would be coaxing Keefe into doing that ahead of time, so that the blond kid wouldn’t need to worry so much. “Also, what colors do you like? Traditionally the bride picks one and the groom the other, but sometimes the groom forgoes that to please his bride. Limiting it to two main colors, and possibly one or two others for accents, is the best idea. Any more and it gets hard to decorate for.” He chuckled again, remembering that the pair of them were artists and would probably want to pick the whole artistic rainbow if given the chance. Yeah, best to avoid that.

Keefe sat there and listened to every word that came out of Lasair's mouth, taking everything it as he tried to understand it all. "Well... If I had to pick I would go with a place we both liked and felt was right, maybe a simple church or something out in the open, like how the queens garden looks, but not really there." Keefe said with a light smile. As for colors I would have to see what she would want, just so it would look natural and right, otherwise I may pick some kind of yellow. I always have liked that color." Keefe added as the though more about the colors, wondering what would go with what, and what would be picked if Elaine when with something else.

Lasair glanced back at Keefe and smiled as he noticed just how enthralled the boy was with his words. It was good that he was listening so intently to what the velvet had to say, but it was also a bit surprising. Keefe had struck him as the kind to zone out more often than not, but now his attention was zeroed in on being right here, in this moment. “Good start, but get more exact about the place. Maybe the place where the two of you had your first date, or a courtyard in the city that you spend time in. You’ll want to keep it in the city limits, but there’s plenty around here to pick from. The clock towers, there’s various churches. As you walk around, start looking at the buildings are you pass. Think on it, you know?” he chuckled, realizing that many people around the city would go a little blind to the surroundings after a while. But for something like this, the blind boy would need to wake up and look at things in a new light. Had to find options to present to Elaine, after all.

Keefe shook his head some as he thought over what was just said. For the most part everything they did was either at a small restaurant, walking around the entire city, or out in the field just next to the city, technically out of the city limits. "What would happen if the place that was chosen just so happened to be outside the city?" He asked wondering if that was just something people don't do at all, or if it could be done, but just with a bit of work. "There is a place "I'm thinking of that's just outside the city that might be nice, but then again having it in a church is a bit more traditional..." He added still thinking over his options.
