Prepare for the #LodanRespawn2024 Existing characters may choose to be displace from/have memories of different timelines, thereby allowing returning members the option to retcon their whole character. These changes are the result of the "Unnatural Fog" plot device that is running between now and the Respawn. The plot is simple: no matter where your character is, that place is shrouded in a thick fog that suspends time, but not thoughts or memories, so even if they're repeating the same day over and over again, they continue to remember, so each time feels like a new day. For those retconning OCs; this is where new versions of themselves have the opportunity to replace the old versions. Official lore and tree updates will be announced asap
Amon have her a concerned look. "...It's fine, really," he said, giving her hand a gentle squeeze. "Besides, all of this is automated...you sure you don't want to rest up before heading out...?"

Was she sure? No, it was fairly accurate to say there were a lot of things she isn't sure of by then. Whether to head out or not being listed among those too; she was indeed fairly low on magic right then; just a couple more spells and she could have been oficially depleted for the day. It would be convenient to not have to head out again that very night, but didn't change the fact she's an andersweltler in a warehouse replete of working mechanisms and there was still a (controlled but real) risk of her unwillingly damaging something around. Oh well...
"Alright... A place to sit down would be good." She relented to his repeated suggestion. "Are you alright though?... I don't mean just physically." Physical injuries were simpler to treat - they were definite, and either could be healed at once or couldn't. Psychological wounds weren't as exact. And Amon did almost get murdered, followed by self-defense killing, and 3 months of seclusion, then coldly calculated triple qualified murder. And he seemed to be having fun with that last part. The redhead couldn't judge how well he was or not... or know if he would even be able to judge that himself.
"Hmmm...I think so..." Amon replied, leading the way. "I may have gone a tad overboard with my rebuilding and revenge plans due to the stress, but otherwise I'm fine..."
He opened the door and led Edel in before closing the door behind. The first room was a fairly simple space, almost similar to the back room of Amon's shop. The walls were decorated with all of the notes and posters that once graced the walls of that room, and the table at the center, as well as the workbench on the wall opposite the door were a cluttered mess of parts and notes. A door to the left led to a small kitchenette area, with a fridge and small oven, while a door to the right led to a small living quarters, with a bed, dresser, and extra chair. One last door opposite the entrance led to a small bathroom, complete with a shower. In both the living quarters and the office area, small windows overlooking the rest of the warehouse were protected with similar metal shutters, to prevent anyone or anything from getting in or potentially harming its occupants.
"Well...my home away from home..." Amon said with a shrug.

'A tad' overboard? And 'otherwise fine', after all those things she had mentally listed before? Edelweiss couldn't help but raise an eyebrow, but soon after her expression became that of a resigned sigh. What else could she expect to be said. It didn't sound like he was lying or restraining himself to not worry her or something. Perhaps the numbness, this odd little veil that coats everything, was still lingering for a moment longer before deciding to dissipate - she didn't want to think of the alternative. "If you say so..."
He guided her into his little half-office-half-apartment and the redhead ended smiling by reflex, a bit of a teasing tone as she looked around for a free spot to sit down. "Funny how I can see the exact spots where Abby's been and where she did not disturb your working 'order' at all." She turned to see Amon shrugging a couple steps ahead. "May I take a seat?"
"Make yourself at home," Amon replied with a small smile of his own, giving Edel's hand one last squeeze before finally letting go, moving to remove his tool bag, placing it on the dresser.
"Can I get you something?" he asked, stooping down to remove his boots.

"Hm, do you by chance have any spare thread?" She asked while gesturing to her own ruined sleeve. "Any color will do. I have to patch this up, even if temporarily. As it is it'd call too much attention on the street."

"I sorta meant refreshments or food, but..." Amon replied with a small chuckle, checking a drawer. "...Here you go," he said, handing Edel a spool of black string and a needle, before heading into the kitchenette.
"...Want something to help sleep or re-energize?" he called out.

"Water would be good, thanks." The redhead replied with a half smile on her lips, though the expression would be missed since she was no longer within his field of view while he turned to get refreshments. She didn't need a wristwatch to know it was pretty late right now, and although she's not against a midnight snack once in a while (what with her sleep schedule being as naturally screwed up as it is, occasionaly eating at the day's ungodly hours is unavoidable) she also didn't feel particularly hungry nor thirsty for anything so water should be enough to help swallow the past minutes.
By the time Amon comes back he'd find her with her vest off and folded on her own lap and shirt in hands (to be able to repair the ripped sleeve, of course, but her clothes' lower layer still on), resulting in her outfit's wire supports being visible along the undershirt.
Amon caught a glimpse of her smile out of the corner of his eye as he made his way to the kitchenette, garnering a smile of his own.
It's the simple things...
He grabbed a pitcher of water from the fridge, filled up two cups, and made his way back to the bed room.
"Wow..." he said with a low whistle upon seeing Edel's gear. "That is some gorgeous looking gear on a gorgeous gal..." he continued, handing a cup to Edel as he sat next to her. "You make that yourself?"

"Only the straps and padding." She replied while accepting the cup and taking a sip from it. She had to remake said straps a few times through the years too, either because it got damaged or because she grew too much for the old versions. But "The basic wire spools were a gift, I have them since I was 16. The most 'changes' I've done to them is some extra polishing and fiddling around a couple times when something got stuck. There's only one breathing person in this warehouse who can craft metal, and it's not me." The straps and padding mentioned before were mostly leather though, and that could be handled at a decent level (at least for things other than armor, as that's not something the redhead is about to pretend she ever learned how to make).
"What, no reaction?" Amon replied with a bemused smile, taking a sip of his own. "That aside, you really continue to impress me...if it's okay with you, can I look into your gear? It's such a simplistic an yet effective design, and I'd like to learn more..."
"Plus, on the off chance you need repairs, you could always come to me," he continued, taking another sip, his eyes beginning to feel heavy as the fatigue started to catch up.

That first comment made her raise an eyebrow, along a mild half-smile of disbelief. "Just because I'm not flamming red it doesn't mean I didn't hear you." She settled the sewing needle down to free one of her hads and reached it out to hold his bangs aside so that looking him in the eyes actually included seeing said eyes. The compliment was still flattering, it's just... "But if after all this time I was still uneasy enough to be flustered by every little thing, then there would be something wrong for sure. Besides, I've lain myself bare to you before. Is it strange to think of these things as natural?"
Then there was the request of looking at her gear. "I don't mind. Except these here." She gestured to the wristcuff-like needle straps. "Don't touch them, at least for now. I'd not have magic enough to heal this amount of poison tonight if you get stung. And you look tired enough to do just that."
"Point taken~" Amon replied with a smile, leaning in to give Edel a gentle kiss on the lips.
"As for you equipment, I definitely meant later...preferably with less poisonous needles..." he said with a small yawn.

"The needles are about the main part of my equipment, so good luck with that." She rolled her eyes slightly, but focused her gaze on his face again when noticed him yawning. "Should I go and let you sleep?"
